My name is Steve, and I am a 22 year old graduate school student attending a small college in PA. I’ve come here looking for some [pheromones](https://a314.com/) to help me socially. I’ve never had a ton of friends or much social influence, so I am looking for something that could help me in those areas. Last year, I had a circle of friends and we spent a good deal of time together. However, many of my friends graduated and the circle has since dissolved. We see each other sometimes, but many of my old friends do not live close by. For some reason I haven’t been able to make any real friends since then. I have been feeling a bit lonely. Sometimes it just feels like people just don’t want to talk to me. I’m not quite sure why.

I’ve also never been the best with women. I work out quite often and - I promise I’m not trying to be arrogant- have a fitness magazine worthy body, but it has never helped me significantly for some reason. I’ve never been with a woman I’ve felt attracted to, just cougars looking for some action. The youngest woman I’ve slept with is 37. There are many attractive young girls in my class, yet they pay absolutely no attention to me.

I read about pheromones, but many people have called them “snake oil” or “scams.” I can’t seem to find any real evidence from the scientific community, so I am here to try them for myself. Are there any pheromones you guys can recommend for me?

Hello Steve, welcome to the forum!

[Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/) is a great social phero that helps break the ice and get conversations going. It makes people more chatty, and makes you seem more approachable.

Instant Shine will ramp up the fun factor, and enhance the mood.

To increase attraction try AMMO. It is smooth, confidently masculine, and puts out a vibe or a virile, eager lover. It’s very attractive to women.
It sounds to me like you’re lacking a bit in confidence. Take a risk, approach and strike up a conversation with a girl your own age. Women love confident men, and appreciate the effort it takes to make the approach.

For your consideration: there is a starter pack being offered in the store that has small (40 Spray) bottles of a bunch of different pheros. It would be a lower-cost way to try out a bunch of stuff.

**Facts, fallacies, fears, and frustrations with human pheromones** , _Charles J. Wysocki_, The Anatomical Record Part A: Discoveries in Molecular, Cellular, and Evolutionary Biology Special Issue: Evolution of the Special Senses in Primates Volume 281A, Issue 1, pages 1201?1211, November 2004

**Abstract**

Among primates in general, pheromones are of variable importance to social communication. Data on humans have generated the greatest controversy regarding the existence of pheromonal communication. In this review, the likelihood of pheromonal communication in humans is assessed with a discussion of chemical compounds produced by the axilla that may function as pheromones; the likelihood that the vomeronasal organ (VNO), a [putative pheromone](https://pheromonelabs.com/product-category/advanced-pheromones/putative-pheromones/) receptor organ in many other mammals, is functional in humans; and the possible ways pheromones operate in humans. In the human axilla, the interactions between the cutaneous microflora and axillary secretions render this region analogous to scent glands found in other primates. Both the chemistry of axillary secretions and their effects on conspecifics in humans appear to be analogous to other mammalian pheromone systems. Whichever chemical compounds serve a pheromonal function in humans, another unknown is the receptor. Although the VNO has been implicated in the reception of pheromones in many vertebrates, it is not the only pathway through which such information has access to the central nervous system; there is ample evidence to support the view that the olfactory epithelium can respond to pheromones. Furthermore, if a chemical activates receptors within the VNO, this does not necessarily mean that the compound is a pheromone. An important caveat for humans is that critical components typically found within the functioning VNO of other, nonprimate, mammals are lacking, suggesting that the human VNO does not function in the way that has been described for other mammals. In a broader perspective, pheromones can be classified as primers, signalers, modulators, and releasers. There is good evidence to support the presence of the former three in humans.

Examples include affects on the menstrual cycle (primer effects); olfactory recognition of newborn by its mother (signaler); individuals may exude different odors based on mood (suggestive of modulator effects). However, there is no good evidence for releaser effects in adult humans. It is emphasized that no bioassay-guided study has led to the isolation of true human pheromones, a step that will elucidate specific functions to human chemical signals. ? 2004 Wiley-Liss, Inc.

A University of Chicago researcher has established the first scientific proof for human pheromones, compounds undetectable as odors but which have a major impact on the timing of ovulation.

The findings will be published Thursday, March 12 in a paper, “Regulation of Ovulation by Human Pheromones,” in the journal Nature, by Martha McClintock, Professor of Psychology at the University of Chicago.

Pheromones are airborne chemical signals that are released by an individual into the environment and which affect the physiology or behaviour of other members of the same species1. The idea that humans produce pheromones has excited the imagination of scientists and the public, leading to widespread claims for their existence, which, however, has remained unproven. Here we investigate whether humans produce compounds that regulate a specific neuroendocrine mechanism in other people without being consciously detected as odours (thereby fulfilling the classic definition of a pheromone). We found that odourless compounds from the armpits of women in the late follicular phase of their menstrual cycles accelerated the preovulatory surge of luteinizing hormone of recipient women and shortened their menstrual cycles. Axillary (underarm) compounds from the same donors which were collected later in the menstrual cycle (at ovulation) had the opposite effect: they delayed the luteinizing-hormone surge of the recipients and lengthened their menstrual cycles. By showing in a fully controlled experiment that the timing of ovulation can be manipulated, this study provides definitive evidence of human pheromones.

Thanks guys. I guess I didn’t check pubmed thoroughly enough lol

MoonlightBliss, where is the starter pack? I can’t seem to find it. And, yes, I would consider myself shy. It is a problem I have struggled with for a while. I’m also looking for ways to boost my confidence.

Welcome sm7226,

This is a super informal and not so tailored response if you will.

I would luuuuuuuv to spend more time assisting you especially since you are a newbie.

We are short staffed and these gift certificates are done manually.

It takes a great deal and I am back logged.

I am hoping that when I catch up on my work, I can start answering these intro threads the way I use to

In fact, I am hoping that soon, someone more experienced than me can come in so I get to do what I am great at, customer service.

Thank you for giving pheromones a chance.

Your gc was issued!
