Hi everyone! I just recently relocated from the East Coast to the West Coast for a job. I’m a woman in my early 30’s who just moved to California a few weeks ago. I’d like to “reinvent” myself over here with a fresh start. Professionally, I’m confident, assertive and organized. Personally, I suck in ALL social situations that involve more than one person that I have to interact with. I’m very shy at parties/bars/social gatherings etc. I consider myself pretty witty and have a great personality, but it doesn’t translate so well (I feel) when I’m in unfamiliar social surroundings. I also have difficulty actively attracting attention from the guys; in other words, I can’t flirt. I always feel silly or avoid eye contact although that’s one of the things I _ **should** _ be doing. I’ve heard of pheromones in the past, but never really knew I could actually buy them. I was reading on another forum about some women who used them with great success, so I did a Google search and found this website. Hi Sparkling\_Pearl! We always love to have women around this forum. You always provide such great perspectives on the same subject matters. I love the word which you used, re-invent. It shows that you are receptive and are willing to change. The very fact that you introduced and are willing to try shows and tells a lot about the amount of initiative power you possess. Well Pearl, it might take sometime, depending on how you do it or deal with it, but generally people do get better over time in terms of social situations.
