What a day to enter the realm of “smell for success.” There are things we eat to induce a high. There are also things we can see to induce a state of peace. There are things we can feel 😉 to induce love. Who knew scent could be the most illusive form to follow men and women throughout the day. Los Angeles Born, Internationally Raised. I know myself. I am Financially Driven, Confidently Smart, business minded. Quiet due to my occupation as an investor and entrepreneur. I lack the desire to talk to people, because I talk to teach, and I talk with purpose. This usually doesn’t get accepted well all the time. I live to help others become who they want to be, I desire to tell people its alright to quit school. I desire to motivate people to become entrepreneurs. Hi, Mco I appreciate your expedited response. I understand that your time is valuable to you. I have edited above a brief introduction. In addition, I am 21 years old. Young, but age should not determine my maturity or mental capacity. I went from being a high-school drunk with lots of party friends to making a conscious decision to stop all childish acts and growing up and becoming financially free as early as possible. This decision out of highschool lead to the personality that I built for the past 3 years. Now I cannot even remember how I made friends or went to all these parties. Odd beyond belief. I am currently on a track to success and I have a future to look upon and plans to execute in order to reach my goals. I derive most of my confidence from this knowing. I am quiet. I have an odd relationship with confidence. I understand the world of money. I have business acquaintances. I have no friends. I left most of them behind because they were holding me back. I think even back in high school I never made real friends I had friends just to do things together such as drink, eat, party, or play sports together. I have no trouble talking when I have a purpose or a goal in conversation. Almost everything that comes out of my mouth is mentally rehearsed. Whether it be a pitch to a investor, a talk with an employee or a lesson in life to my brother. The spontaneous realm of interacting with women becomes difficult, because it is almost impossible to rehearse an approach due to the various factors of which I have no control over. I have sometimes been told I am emotionless, robot like, and hard to connect to. Emotion always leads to bad decisions and I cant afford that. The problem arises when I decide to talk to women. My purpose becomes sex due to my primitive desires and when emotions arise my cognitive ability gets fogged. I don’t know what I am looking to obtain from pheromones. Maybe a dose of self assurance that it is alright to just talk to people without purpose. Maybe to actually just have some fun in talks. I have a difficulty seeing my own problem because I am too close to it. Perhaps an outside diagnosis could tell me what I need. Wow. Great introductions. Personally, I love people like you. And try to become one daily. So well put together, though perhaps too well, as you are considered a rock in a pile of diamonds to society’s culture, when in fact the truth is you are the lonely diamond in the pile of rocks. I truely appreciate your presence here. IO is a great product because it can fuel (be it as it may) more mundane conversations. Makes people very chatty. Will also get you more chatty and perhaps make your struggle to share those mundane things more easy. Not sure if this is quite up your alley, but perhaps we can fix that with IH. Yeah, you are pretty much mature for your age. Yes, your personality is a great asset for being a great entrepreneur, good leader, and climbing career ladder. But it is not that great in social setting, you can look at your life now, lack of fun and friendship, and even sometimes boing selfish. Yes, I do used to be what we both mentioned earlier when I was a teen, I did not talk much, talked only with purpose, thought and made a decision before speaking everything out, got a very few close friends… But why did I do these? To be a great leader? To make people around to appreciate me? All non-sense. I have no need to be such kind of person to be appreciated or to be a great leader. Life is not that long, why don’t I make it more meaningful? Enjoy life with people around us? Excuse me if my words may affect you, I know different people want to experience new thing, I changed from that, and you and even mco want to change to that… OK, don’t want to talk much about that as it is all personal trend. Hi Frantisto, I appreciate your honesty. I would be offended if you said anything but exactly what you see in me. I understand you are a man who does what you say and mean what you say. Hello Shimmy and welcome to the forum. The testosterone level in this thread is threatening to choke me! 😃 I think it’s about time for a woman’s perspective. We are extremely attracted to men who are confident, successful, serious about what’s important, self-assured, determined to rise above. Of course, that by itself is not enough. There must be a depth to the personality that goes beyond that type of success. It is very hard to fall in love with, or even be more than momentarily attracted to, someone who is passionless. Unless of course you’re a gold-digger, but I am assuming you are not interested in looking for one of those. Women really need to find common ground emotionally with their man. I am not suggesting that you be the least bit phony, or try to change yourself into something you are not. I think the key here is that you are viewing this as work. And that’s okay, if you are goal-motivated and work best if you treat this as a task to be accomplished. But it seems to me that it would take all the joy out of it. If you were trying to win a potential client who was absolutely obsessed with his dogs, surely you would work the conversation around to display an interest and appreciation for dogs. It would give you a common ground, a launch pad for further discussion. It really works the same with women, but the difference is intuition. Unfortunately for men, we women often have a very strong intuition and can usually spot a fake a mile away. I would suggest you take the time to find one interest of your own, no matter how small, that could be share with the fairer sex. It doesn’t matter if it’s skydiving, french literature, white water rafting, chinese food, whatever. It will give you a conversational common ground. Not with everyone, of course, but with some. And it’s those that you’re looking for, because you don’t really want to change yourself to attract women, you just want to attract women who are similar to you. Don’t work too hard at this. We just love a man with an easy confidence, a laid back charm. If you treat this as a task to be accomplished you will come off as very uptight. Welcome to Pherotalk Shimmy! You said you don’t like fluff talk so I won’t say too much, especially since I am late with this introduction. I read your introduction and I was very impressed with what you have accomplished but I felt very intimidated and wasn’t sure how to approach you or what to say for my welcome. Do you get that alot?
