Mine tends to go to my thighs and arms lol kind of annoying. The hip span even when i was rail thin from chemo never changed.I realized at that point i did NOT like having a bony ass.

Some women because of our general bone structure are going to be curvy no matter what so the whole uber skinny no curves thing can be devastating if a woman or young girl gets obsessed with a certain look.

However, we all put on weight and loose weight differently. So yes some girls are more curvy with a little padding and some are more curvy with less nothing wrong with that.

_The most important thing either way. Is that we’re happy with ourselves._

Weight is an overrated and misconstrued number. Your weight does not give you an idea of how much muscle mass you have vs fat.BMI isn’t that great if you’re not a standard build either for me if I’m within my generalized medical ideal weight range I simply look odd.

I have a bit of baby belly left and some days you know the ones you wake up and just feel meh in general I look at it like GO AWAY! lol

I like tummies in general though my gf has a bit of tummy going on but shes still super adorable not to mention super cuddleable.

I think we tend to be more critical of ourselves though.
Curvy varies. Depends on a womans body shape but the thing here I believe is simply having the general breast and hip rounds associated with being female not having an itty bitty waist. 🙂

Although I think the discussion was originally about the current trend in the media to go for more masculine looking women in terms of fashion as opposed to women in media and pop culture of a few decades ago.

Were we here about the hip to waist ratio.
Then it really would be about corseting sorry for my random derailment. 🙂

Size Zero … Hmmm…

Skinny little runway rats that starve themselves to be size zero keel over dead. Several every year. There’s a disease associated with that… er ah… ooohyahhh, anorexia…

But if you’re under 5’3", size zero starts to look pretty good.

Homegirl Eva Longoriea Parker from Corpus Christi is a 1/4" over 5’ tall and a size zero.

If you can wear heels like that, with the hippy hippy shake that comes from them, who needs a waistline?

Xev, I have always found you to be very attractive. I’m willing to take skill with stilletos on faith. But can you handle a gun?

I feel stress, taking the pill, chemicals in cosmetics, artificial sugar and the soy/vegetarian lifestyle are just as much contributing to people losing their femininity and masculinity. Those things were introduced and popularised in pretty much the same time period.

Well actually this started out as a food thread. The composition of diet on hormonal balance as it effects physical growth, especially bone structure.

PheroQuirk was, I’m sure, looking for a quiet little scientific disscusion.

Butterfly, bless her heart, tried to stay with the subject, talking about butter, liver, eggs, and bacon.

But after Bella showed up, there were stark naked people everywhere. I’m just sayin’…

Being the prude that I am, I immeadiatly tried to throw up links where people were at least wearing lingere.

So in the interest of modesty, I’m going to post the results of some of my recent research.

This is from one of our earlier links, ThePinupFiles. The artist is Micheal Calandra who was a student of Frank Frazetta. I think the model is his wife.

Who needs heels anyway?

This next is a now and then of dark mysterious beauties. Katherine Zeta Jones and Sophia Loren.

Damn! It won’t let me right click. OK well here’s the link

I could go on. I love a good research subject.

All in the name of science, mind you.

Girls who look curvy when thin, but gain in the waist tend to have masculine fat distribution over a feminine frame. Similarly, one can have a straight frame and feminine fat distribution. Most healthy is for both to be feminine but it is also good evolution-wise for some women to be specialised for times of lack or plenty. Also, cold climates tend to ask for a bit of padding all over.

Thank you?

Bella, how can I ever thank you for showing me my life’s calling?

I have become an erotic search engine. And it is all, OK, well, mostly because of you. The other billion and a half women on the planet probably had a little something to do with it.

I did find Ms Z Jones in corset (from the Zorro movie) but I was much more smitten with this one. Although I have to admit that even as beautiful as she is, a little padding in the right places could make her even more attractive.

Excuse me while I go take a cold shower…

Anyway, before I go I wanted to mention one tidbit. I recall Playboy Magazine many many years ago did an article on “ideal” physical woman profile (hips, butt, boobs, etc). One thing that I remember from it was that I found my own preferences did not agree with the “ideals” reported by whomever they interviewed. (I presume it was “typical Playboy male readers.”)

Or in short: beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Physical and mental/spiritual.

Advances and knowledge in medicine. Look back at the art and pictures dating back centuries ago. Women and men were significantly “larger” than we are today. It was a sign of wealth and opulence. Today, being “overweight” means lack of self control instead of what is natural.

Medicine found that it was not the healthiest thing to be obese. Fact.
Obese and curvy are not the same thing.

Also think about what makes more money? Weight loss programs, women’s magazines, diets, books, gym memberships, etc. ALL those things related to WEIGHT LOSS makes more money that all those people just eating their normal diets. Those societal standards of what “everyone” thinks is pretty is a means of getting people to change themselves. Change requires money and effort. That makes more money than you eating a REGULAR diet. Cost of a healthy well balanced meal is probably under 10 bucks across the nation. Magazine, diets, programs, gym, etc, much more.

For me, I’m an extremely skinny person. It’s just how my body is built. I have the opposite problem as I look like a skeleton more often than anything else. Trying to gain weight tends to send the mass in parts that well, don’t need it and parts where I’d like to get mass so I don’t look like I’m starving to death… well… my body doesn’t seem to conform to what I want or wish it to.

I find that it’s just better to go for women who are comfortable with how they look. It starts to get annoying when how a women looks becomes their life. I do prefer someone who isn’t like a twig though… just doesn’t feel right. haha.

For that to make money you first have to get obese people. Or is it get people obese?

One very trick part of the puzzle is corn syrup. That’s right, corn syrup the sweetener that is in almost every food it seems. It has the interesting effect of actually createing more hunger when it is eaten. (Somebody help me out with a reference here) What a great way to make _more_ money. And a great way to make obese people.

Duuuhhhhhhh! Sometimes I am so slow… No wonder I like this picture of Catherine Zeta Jones. Does this remind you of anybody? It wasn’t until I was posting in a thread with her the other day that I realized… this looks alot like River’s avatar.

I saw this original awhile back on one the art sites I go to. This is a version of The Lady of the Lake, Vivienne. It was her who gave King Arthur his sword Excaliber. She then later seduced Merlin into teaching her everything he knew.

I bet our River would be up to it.

And as for me… I’m larger/more square. “Big boned” pretty much in truth. (My bone density scan a while back gave me a “Score” that said I am 13% MORE dense [bone-wise, wise guys] at an age over 50 than the “norms” based on 18 year olds. My body type is “endomorphic.” My arms and legs are shorter than they “should be” for the size of my torso. Means most dress shirt sleeve cuffs hit my knuckles and I pretty much always have to have my pants hemmed up because my inseam is shorter than any off-the rack cut. When I was with the USPS I had to have all my pants gusseted (wider butt) as the standard uniform cut was way too small.

A guy that I worked with was built very much like you describe. We called him ‘Stumpy’. He had one of the very few workplace romances that I know of that really worked out. Like they were made for each other. That was almost twenty years ago. Last I heard they were still living happily ever after.

> A guy that I worked with was built very much like you describe. We called him ‘Stumpy’. He had one of the very few workplace romances that I know of that really worked out. Like they were made for each other. That was almost twenty years ago. Last I heard they were still living happily ever after.

However I’m also about 5’10" (down from 5’11" - I’m shrinking a bit) so not all that short, so I can probably not worry about being “stumpy.”
😛

And one of my fave ladies is about 5’2 and a size 0 (which means _small_) so next to her I’m tall.
🆒

(I’m not overweight, I’m undertall…)

o.o I’m 5’2" tall guys scare me to death lol. I like guys about my height.

If noses and toeses can touch without gymnastics I’m happy.

Then again its really rare for me to be attracted to a typical male anyway.
