I went to Anaheim High school back in 1996. I was like one white guy out of 2000 hispanics.
I tell you this though - to this day, i love latina’s.
God saved the best physical attributes for those girls.
I´m pretty sure,most of them ,see themselves as white as you, and mainly they are right ,they are just a mixed race (mestizos) and don´t like to be consider not white.
I guess we shoud use african ,european ,asian,american, indian (from India), instead of black , white ,latinos etc ,is less offensive.
LOL no offence bro, but i was there, and trust me - they dont view themselves as white. Not in the barrio.
Alot of Brown Pride going on down there when i was in school.
I heard it all - whiteboy, wetto, blondie, all that good stuff.
I went to school with a lot of cholo’s and chola’s, and trust me - they were/are very proud to be Mexican.

Not all latinas are mestizos, you know. 
LOL about once a week there would be a nock at the door with somebody selling tamale’s.
You know its totally cool - i really enjoyed school and loved the people i went to school with - i never had any problems with anybody because i took it all in stride.
Besides - i learned the easy way to get alot of them to get over me being a “whiteboy”…i learned to cuss in spanish. I swear i would have the whole classroom laughing thier asses off because nobody expects the white guy to say “chinga tu madre” (pardon my spelling).

I know , you call latinos to anyone who speak spanish. Even I had seen in a film ,italo-americans talking about latinos when refering to cubans ,that´s funny.
But it´s true,they could be just plain indigenous ,european or african and be called latinos.
