I was headed to a shopping mall to do some Mothers’ Day shopping. And what better grounds to test out pheromones than a shopping mall. I put on a 2 sprays of Ammo Summer on the sides of the neck, 2 sprays of [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) on the hair, and 1 spray of P91 of the front of the neck. There was only one real hit I noticed. The rest are gray areas. **Salesgirl** Characteristics: female, Caucasian, 25 at most. I went up to the register to ask for assistance: I had trouble deciding between two things, and needed a woman’s opinion. This salesgirl was just the ticket, despite being much younger than my mother (younger than me, even). I noticed her smiling an awful lot, she talked at a very fast pace, and her eye contact was more fixated than usual. Uncharacteristic for me in the last five years, I became a little bit nervous while talking to her, stumbling through a word here or there (what can I say; she was very cute). But what was interesting is that she started to act equally skittish, almost as if she was mirroring me. I was about to dismiss it as just her personality or tiredness from a long day at work, but then I noticed the most blatant hit since my return to PheromoneTalk. When she was explaining something to me, instead of saying “you won’t have to fuss with it as much”, she said “you won’t have to fu\_ck with it as much”. Her tone of voice was completely normal while saying that sentence, and she continued talking like nothing was wrong. It didn’t seem like she noticed her Freudian slip, but I sure did. It took me a lot of effort to hold back the laughter. I decided not to embarrass her by pointing it out, so I paid for the merchandise and left. **Miscellaneous** I got into conversation with two Hispanic women in their late 30’s (just my guess: not old-looking, but clearly older than me) while watching a product demonstration. There were smiling at me during conversation, but there were no IOI’s on their part, so it could have been just their personality or culture. There there was a couple who I shared an elevator with, and briefly spoke to during the ride. The girl seemed a little more smiley than the guy, but they were both friendly, and it’s kind of normal for women to smile more anyway, so I doubt this was a hit. **Questions/Comments** I’d say _that_ was a hit. Interesting. What phero do you think causes you to be a lil skittish? With summer ammo alone what do you think it does? ---

I don’t think it’s the [pheromones](https://a314.com/), Ammo Summer in particular, that made me skittish. I’ve used pheromones a number of times before, and they only made me feel good. It was probably the salesgirl’s looks, although it’s been years and years since the last time I got nervous talking to an attractive woman. Having said that, Ammo Summer is a little “soft”. It would have probably worked well enough when I first joined this site at age 26, but not so much now. It kind of has a “college freshman” feel to it. I felt ready to take on the world, but still wet behind the ears, kind of like a college guy carrying boxes into his first dorm. Not a bad feeling, just unfitting at age 31. Don’t get me wrong; I had a fun conversation with that salesgirl, especially with the Freudian F-bomb she dropped. But the situation still felt out of character for me, long after having stopped being nervous while talking to women. Now, back when I actually was a college freshman, I was shy, and consequently, nervous when talking to girls I’m trying to impress. So maybe Ammo Summer’s youthful vibe and the salesgirl’s youthful looks put together triggered subconscious memories of my college years, and caused me to act skittish with her. It’s interesting that the salesgirl ended up mirroring my skittish behavior, rather than feel unsettled by it, the way girls did when I was in college and acted nervous when talking to them. Perhaps the other two pheromones I wore had a comforting influence on her.
