I just saw the result. I empathize. West indies as a team and a host nation arguably put on the worst world cup in history!

I still can’t believe Woolmer was murdered… I heard him being interviewed in detail like a month ago on the BBC…

On a happier note (at least on this side of the world), the Aussies are looking good to make it a three-peat although you never know with one day cricket… NZ, Sri Lanka and South Africa look to be the other contenders for the Semis…

Finally an Aussie comments on the cricket!

SA vs Australia semi - how about it mate?

A bottle of [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/)/Honesty/Openness says my boys do yours over! 😃 😃 😃 😃 😃 😃 😃

(That was a joke! 🙂 )

Hehe I would bet my entire collection of [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) that the Aussies would win but unfortunately this is one day cricket and not test cricket so anything can happen.

(That was a joke as well as I would never bet my pheromones on cricket, maybe Soccer as I know more about that but not Cricket!😛)

Hope my man Dwight Yorke helped football take off down under. Used to worship that guy; still have the letter he sent me (after I’d sent him about 12) when I was 14. 🙂

Who do you support?

Matt

PS: I’m Villa till I die!

I don’t really support anyone anymore except for the Soccerroos (who were robbed at the WC by the refereeing and the Italian’s dive ☹ ). I am not sure how Italy could celebrate winning a WC like that really.

I actually used to go for Liverpool as a kid and then Chelsea most recently. I loved the AC Milan team of the early 1990s (with Jean-Pierre Papin, Marco Van Basten, Rijkard, Gullit, Massaro, Maldini, etc).

So you’re a Villa man cool! Well at least they won’t be in the relegation zone this season. Man Utd are having quite a season eh they could still do the treble…

As for Dwight Yorke, yes he did make quite an impact in his first season in Australia with Sydney FC but he left too soon! That’s cool that he sent you a letter though-I believe he is good friends with Brian Lara actually.

You don’t mean the Milan team of:

Sebastiano Rossi

Tassotti
Maldini
Baresi
Costacurta

Donadoni
Albertini
Gullitt
Rijkaard
Simeone/Massaro

Van Basten with Papin waiting in the wings.

AC Milan 1994 best club side I’ve ever seen. Thrashed Barcelona 4-0 in the final; the Barcelona of Romario and Stoichov.

Yes Dwight Yorke and Brian Lara have been best friends since they were about 5 years old. Grew up playing cricket and football together, Rumour has it that at one stage Brian was better at football than Dwight and Dwight was better at cricket than Brian. Dwight Yorke brought on drinks for the West Indies during the 1999 Cricket World Cup in England.

Yes Matt I am impressed with your knowledge of Soccer history. They were a great team indeed - they had the best of Italian defence and the best of WORLD attack. Literally they had the 4-5 best players in the world in that period playing for them (1988-1995). And don’t forget George Weah although I think he started with them after the 1994 European Cup triumph. So Weah, Van Basten, Papin, Rijkard, Gullit, Maldini all at one club… They all won Euro and World player of the year awards I think in that period (or came second or third).

On another note when I wear lots of A314 on the Soccer field, I feel like Franz Beckenbauer (minus em some of the skill 😛 ). I give out the orders and others follow. A powerful presence on the field, I give my team a lift just by being there and giving my A314-enhanced ‘support’ to my players. Try it if you play some sport - A314 may make a decent sportsman into captain material.
