If done right 3 feet/1 Meter, with lesser effects at greater distances up to 9 feet/3 meters. Though the range could vary due to environmental issues.

I’m thinking that the effect on the person – one individual comes in contact with one molecule – can be **virtually instantaneous** if the molecule contacts that person in the right place.

Some molecules might be “all on or all off”. Let’s assume that the molecule contacts the person by being breathed in and then enters into that person’s bloodstream. (It could be absorbed into the skin … or something else, breathing in just seems like a good first guess.) As long as the molecule is present, there is a psychoactive dynamic in response. Eventually the molecule is metabolized.

Some might have a delay in starting up the dynamic response, some might require a greater trigger threshold than one molecule. Some might continue to be active for a period of time after the molecule(s) are metabolized. Etc.

On the other end, there may be molecules that are “analog” – the more of the molecule the person is in contact with, the more of the dynamic occurs. Again, there may be lags or delays, threshholds, etc. The increase in the dynamic with more molecules could be more or less smooth, or it could be “stepwise”, a series of threshholds.

(also note that the molecules could turn a dynamic OFF, or that there could be an inverse relationship: more of a molecule means LESS of some dynamic)

I don’t know about 3’ / 9’ … and I think windage and air circulation are definitely concerns…

Do we have any evidence of [pheromone](https://a314.com/) detection though skin? I thought they only work through the nose (VNO or not…)?

Guess what would happen if our skin would let all those molecules around us right into the bloodstream…
