# How fast do mines take to work?

Hello again, nbf6. 🙂

Learning about [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) and how to use them is a process and takes some time. So, in that respect, no, they’re not “Instant”. Unfortunately, pheromones aren’t magical potions. They can’t do the work for you. It’s more about _you_ learning how to work the pheromones in order to get the best “effect”. 😉

And the best place to start learning about the whole process, for all newbie’s, is by reading the sticky threads at the top of each forum. The answer to many a newbie question is already answered there. Taking the time to read them can be immensely helpful and will give you a better understanding of how all this really works.
