# How often should I NOT use pheromones?

I’ve heard it’s wise to take an occasional break from using [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/). My questions:

-How often should I take one of these breaks? (I heard about once a week.)

-How long should it be? (I heard one day, so that people don’t see the phero-you as your true self, and become bored with the REAL you).

The rule of thumb seems to be that you should take one day off per week.

Read some of the “newbie” sticky threads in the men’s section, they contain that information and more. They’re good reading for [pheromone](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) users of any skill levels. In fact, I’m going to go take a quick refresher on my phero basics right now.
