# "I smell damp"

Day 3. Just after a shower I put on two drops - neck and wrists - with no other scent other than my deodorant. Pick up a female friend of mine in the car about 10 minutes after applying it.

After 20 minutes in the car, she wrinkles her nose. “Did you dry your clothes properly?” I said yeah, because I had: me and my clothes were clean as a whistle.

She said “Because you smell of damp. Like mildew or something.” I’m a clean dude and in all the years I’ve known her she’s never said anything like this. I _know_ this was the A314 because I could smell its mustiness myself, and though I personally like the smell, I can get what she’s saying.

Should I be covering this up with a designer cologne or something? I don’t want people to think my clothes are unwashed.

I would say it would be best to cover as you do not want to smell like mothballs. Lol A314 is not to overpowering once settled on your skin and a good cologne will be fine.

It is possible to cover the scent of A314, however some are more receptive of the -Rone in A314 and say it has a off scent, so covering would not be a bad idea.
