So I got my first order today of 4 to go bottles to try this stuff out. My first impression is wow this stuff stinks and I dont think id ever wanna wear it. [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/)- smells like a dirty old mans cologne. IS- smells like pure rubbing alcohol. IO- smells like pure rubbing alcohol. TUTH- only one that smells decent and could see myself wearing. I guess ill have to just wear it out one night to get a true opinion on it. Any suggestions on what to try first and how much? ---

Any suggestions on what to try first and how much? Well now, the only one of those products with any scent added to try to make it smell nice is Ammo, and that cologne scent is personal preference. To be honest, it’s not my favorite smell either, but who am i to judge? However, were these smells you didnt like right after you sprayed the product, or during the whole 4-6 hours the pheromones were active? Typically the pheromones will smell strongly for 15-20 min, then fade into the background, where they will do their job quite nicely. Also, feel free to add a spritz of your own favorite cologne over any of the products (although it may clash with Ammo’s scent), since this wont affect the ability of the pheromones at all. As for what to try first, if you’re not in love with the scent of Ammo, i would suggest either Instant Shine or [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/). Try wearing about 2-3 sprays of instant shine when going out shopping, or to a class(?) and see if you notice any extra smiles or glances coming your way. Or if you know a girl who has been a little reluctant to talk to you, try wearing 2-3 sprays of instant openness around her and see if she responds any better. Now, these doses depend on where you are (a club or bar has many guy’s pheromones floating around, so you need more to register with a girl) and how old you are. The younger you are, the more pheromones you still produce naturally and the less sprays you’ll need per use. ---

Also, the ones with the alcohol base will evaporate within a minute or two, leaving just the [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/), so that smell shouldnt be a problem at all. _edited for bad grammer_ ---

^I havnt worn any of them yet. I just did one spray of each on a piece of paper. Now that I smell them later thay arnt as strong as the initial spray. ---

LOL Who told you that ? Mones smell like mones, You know where they come from right. The synthetic molecule mimics the smell of bodily secretions. sweat pee other funky stuff. AMMO smells good to me and every women I know who has smelled it but alot of men dont think so. We are reacting to the mones though. Ishine smells like neroli and scent wise is nice but strong IO smells like dirty old feet to me TUTH makes my eyes roll back in my head. I love the smell. The men think it smells like cat piss. Everyone perceives the smell differently which is why we spend alot of time talking about cover scents. Oddly enough once its on you people will compliment you on it and you will look at them like there nuts LOL They are reacting to the mones not the smell. The smell just carrys it. Why does it have to smell ? Because to synthetically make the molecule you end up mimicing the smell of it. Its part of the phermones makeup. Ok well i guess i just jumped to conclusions to fast. Tonight I sprayed 1 spray of instant shine on my wrist and rubbed them together. I ended up really liking it and was constantly smelling my wrist. ---

Its ok, It does smell different on you then on a napkin. I still think IO smells like dirty feet on or off me though LOL 😉 Tisha ---

Some observations from when I first started using these. 1. Most people can’t smell them. Some people can smell them. What they actually smell varies from person to person. 2. I have never run across a woman who smells anything but something good when I’m wearing these. This initially drove me crazy. I was sure I smelled bad but got nothing but compliments. 3. Some people at least (for example, me) habituate the smell. I can’t smell anything now except a faint whiff similar to isopropyl alcohol. Odd considering it used to smell so strong to me…especially A314. Now…nothing. 4. When I did smell these, it was easy to mask with a good cologne. Aramis, Polo, Calvin Klein. Mostly, I don’t even bother now. Women comment on the cover scent but it really isn’t the smell they find pleasing. It’s how they feel around me. It’s not a big deal and in no way should it deter you from reaping the benefits of wearing these. ---

I don’t know about dirty old man–they usually wear expensive designer colognes–it just smells sour and cheap. ---

I’m not a big fan of the two colognes it was described as smelling like. However, it does cost more to do it that way. If you wanted to, go under the Custom Additions link on Smartmones and add Men’s Fragrance customization to your cart with the scent you want. ---

I think Ammo is very understated after it dries down, as are the Androtics products I have tried. They don’t really smell perfumey at all. ---

I tried Spaceland in public yesterday and decided to use a “my skin has been really dry lately so my sister suggested I use some cream she picked up at Whole Foods” followed with either “it rained the first two days I used it, so I’m convinced it works” or “I’ve been using so many soy-based products lately my estrogen must be off the charts.” I think it smells like the cedar and chlorophyll mixtures used to line rabbit cages. As it turns out, I didn’t have to use that excuse at all. I’m sure “My ex-girlfriend bought it for me last year for Christmas” or “It was the last birthday present my grandmother gave me” should work too. Every woman’s scent preferences are different, and as they get older, those preferences change. If you need an excuse to smell the way you do, at least have something prepared before you wear it. Sentimentality and humor will go a long way in disarming a negative reaction, and a good excuse will also cover why you’ll be continuing to wear it. ---
