Hi, there. I’m fascinated by [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) and the chemical basis of our emotions and drives. I think science indicates that humans are as responsive to pheromones as other animals, some of us just don’t want to believe it yet. I wrote a book about oxytocin, The Chemistry of Connection, and I blog about it at [HugtheMonkey.com](http://HugtheMonkey.com). I saw some folks had questions about oxytocin products, so I joined the forum in order to help answer them.

Or are you here to just spam us?

After reading your other post, I’m really not sure?

However, I take it you are aware that oxytocin is not a [pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/), so it does tend to fall outside the context of this forum.

Welcome susan,

Knowledge is indeed power and we are greatful that you came here to share your knowledge with us.

As mobo said from my understanding oxytocin is not really a pheromone and in addition we do not even sell oxytocin or any product with oxytocin in it.

True we have a few persons come on here to ask about it but that’s about it,

In addition, we do have a pheromone expert who handles all our clients pheromone questions.

We would still love for you to become part of our community and share your knowledge with us.

You have introduced yourself so let me know if you want to continue to qualify for a $25 gc in order to try out our products and give your feedback.

If so let us know :

what is your personality like

how did you find this forum

what do you hope to gain by wearing pheromones

Nope, I’m not here to spam you. I saw a question posted on the forum and I had a good response, so I responded.

Yes, I’m aware that oxytocin is not a pheromone, but it already was being discussed on this forum.

Thanks for the welcome, Mickaelia and for the clarification. To be clear, I do not represent myself as a pheromone expert. I do make a strong case in my book, based on research primarily by the Monell Chemical Senses Center, that humans are as affected by chemicals inhaled through the nose or absorbed through the skin as other animals.

I also think that we may eventually find that many hormone/neurotransmitters, including testosterone, estrogen and possibly oxytocin, do act as pheromones. But first, humans have to get over themselves and admit they’re animals.

What is my personality like??? Um, sparkling? ascerbic? a female version of Bane played by Zooey Dechanel? (okay, only in my dreams)

I found this forum via organic search on Google.

What do I hope to gain? I would like a pheromone mix that’s a human version of Feliway, that cat pheromone that is supposed to keep them calm. Something that would allow me to stay calm and centered and fearless!

That would likely be TAF?! Centered and focused feeling. Or… IS/a, for the confidence, sexy, Angelina Jolie type vibe?!

The TAF, like other P molecules or MX’s, do not have a money back guarantee and though I may get that feeling whenever I wear my TAF, it does NOT mean EVERYONE will. So… YMMV.
IS/a, though, is a commercial line product from AD so that is pretty spot on with those kind of effects. Many report self effects with these mones, though not all. Hopefully, while testing them, you’ll get them as well. That’s what the GC is for, to test these suckers out! 😉

I suggest the following threads, keeping in mind your research into mones. This is a good thread as to the WHY AD does mones in precise measurements, layered on your skin.

> July 24th, 2009, 02:01 PM In the late 90s, with Erox advertising heavily on the radio, I first tried these products. I had always written off pheromones as much as I would astrology (bad astrology from carnies, anyway), but I figured if they were spending so much to advertise such a product, it might be worth a shot. And hey, it’s even available in normal department stores. I don’t have to call a 900# or go to a strange, smelly sex shop or anything fishy. So I tried the product. Did smashingly…

Other goodies from Michael.

And, of course, the primer on how to use mones, their limitations and where to apply them, among other things, is on my sig below, Intro to Mones, and Tisha’s excellent observations, How to know what is a Hit… 🙂

Welcome and wishing you well on your mone journey.

Awesome! I totally love your personality already and think you will be a great addition to our already amazing, community.

Don’t mind the comment about spammer, mobo is a sweetheart and meant no harm but we do get those from time to time and the posts are similar to yours.

Now, Alpha gave you some excellent advice but since I am not even sure what Feliway is, I mean I googled it but that does not give me much of a knowledge about it.

The pheromone experts in the female section and the threads suggested will help you find the right product/products for you.

Your gc was issued!\*\*\*

Hi there Oxy

I hope its ok if I call you oxy for short.

Hmm… your looking for cool calm unstressed.

TAF is centered and focused but I wouldn’t compare it to Feliway. That is more of a territorial [pheromone spray](https://a314.com/product-category/spray-pheromones/). It docent calm them it marks territory so they avoid the area thus avoid the stress related behaviors they are performing in that area. The stress still remains.

On the consumer side I would look at Instant sexiness A. This is confident assertive and has a degree of calmness to it.

In the advanced section TAC, TAL and TAA are good choices.

TAC is quite calming and has destressing qualities. TAL and TAA are very confident and upbeat. TAL more of the female alpha confidence and TAA more of the warm comfort kind of confidence.

Snort… 😃 True we are all mammals.

Neurotransmitters in themselves are not pheromones. They are the chemical messengers triggered by pheromones and hormones. Its not that oxytocin doesn’t act like a pheromone. Its actually categorized as both a hormone and a neurotransmitter. Its just not effective in a pheromone spray. Its not a airborne pheromone. Science has not yet figured out how to use it in a airborne spray form and maintain its signal. To many factors that just work against it in using it in spray pheromone form. At least in the attraction products arena. No one wants to be spraying mones on ever three minutes which is about how long oxytocin lasts outside the body. Its two volatile short lived and heavy once outside of the body to be effective as a spray attractant.

Because of these drawbacks it much more productive to find a less volatile long lasing pheromone that helps a person produce a steady stream of there own natural oxytocin. Then you secrete it to some degree without having to spray it continuously. However touch seems to be the only way to increase oxytocin. We cant go around touching everyone LOL.

I did look up your blog and its great, informative and interesting.

Hope to chat with you more in the forum

Tisha
