ICM 2.0 - A Gem That Should Be in Production

Would you ever release the formula?

Thanks for all the words of encouragement everybody. I moved on to creating mixes with named molecules now. Of course I play around with putatives, but making a mix from them is really out of the question. Again, this is not harping on AD because I love what they stand for, but the fact is, nothing goes to production. If you like an MX you have spent your hard-earned money on and then it vanishes you are left with an empty wallet and a mix that is gone for good.

I guess we all became spoiled to the fact that one time, a long time ago, molecules were plentiful here. From the countless posts AD was always investing back into the research and at the same time saying they lose money on product. To me that is a failing combination that you cannot get around. Most business owners, regardless of their ideals, know you can’t sell something for less than it costs to make and stay in business. No way, no how. I really hope after all this talk of investing back into the business they planned for all this. We have been told over and over that it was getting increasingly difficult to get molecules and even spent money to cross test other molecule platforms. So what happened? I honestly don’t know!

That’s not to say that AD doesn’t have a backup plan. That’s not to say that plans are being worked out right now. I really, really hope so.

However its the customers who are the ones paying the price. I took this position because as a customer I knew AD cared about people. I totally believed they really cared about people. So yeah I feel you on it and as your point of contact I am always going to say what I can to let you know that the people behind the scenes, the ones you interact with everyday, the cogs in the machine are still working our hardest to ensure what we can to “Make the world a better place.” That’s AD’s mission statement if you didn’t know.

I hope AD continues to make progress and gets this increasingly difficult issue resolved. In the meantime, as I mentioned, I don’t see the value in making any new mixes. All that means is the limited supply of disappearing molecules will continue to wither away making it more and more difficult to come by, or priced beyond reach. Personally, when it comes right down to it, I have to ask myself IJ or Christmas presents for family? It is a pretty easy choice, especially when just living these days is expensive and there are alternatives. I’m very aware of your pain as I hear it every day on the phones. Fortunately there are some alternatives AD still offers.

Will I release the formula? If I ever did so it would only eliminate any chances of the putatives ever being in stock again. I would be cutting my own throat at a product that I created. I had the best intentions when I made it. Now, with the current state, my best intentions are to be selfish because its evidently crystal clear, if you like something, its not going to be around very long. There is absolutely no way to recreate it since none of the molecules are named. best to make a mix with what you have and keep your mouth shut. Of course this directly conflicts with reporting, but its a choice you have to make for your own self.

Steve - If the molecules do return to stock and you consider another batch, or of an upgraded version, I think you can count on a good few of us here as reliable customers.

“I moved on to creating mixes with named molecules now.” You mean reverse engineering putatives? Right?

That’s what I thought.

Mr. Loyalty, ethics, integrity and all-around love wizzard. I will send you $1 in bitcoin if you show me written proof you’re authorized to use the American Chemical Society trademark. It’s their property. Just like your GOALS trademark is your property. You respect private property of course?

Maybe best not to flog a dead horse mate.
