Is there any difference if i :
spray 2 x IH , 1 of each forearm
vs
spray 2 x IH, overlaying 2 spray on 1 of the forearm

let say if i spray apply 2 spray on my left forearm only, is the effect stronger than i apply 1 spray at both forearm 😕

Not hugely - The greater the surface area of your application the better it diffuses but you will need to move your arms around a bit - in which case the two-arms will have the greatest diffusion.

Thank you so much!🙂

Is more surface area for two sprays better? Yes,more surface area is better. Also, more solvent for the same amount of solute is better. in both cases, better diffusion.

A better question regarding layering sprays is: What happens when I change the order that I layer sprays of different molecules. Does that change the result. The scent, for example.

If you’re speaking from the results of a personal experiment, I bow to your superior data, but in general, diffusion is only linearly proportional to surface area but proportional to the 2nd-4th power of concentration (depending on the system), so higher concentrations diffuse _markedly_ better. I am only speaking of SOLVENT concentrations. Having proportionally more _adjuvant_ carriers [e.g. lower Putative content in the same Androtics base, or adding a cologne] may yield better diffusion, but this is due to mechanisms other than dilution. You’re right about greater surface area, though

Imagine you are cleaning up a small spill of a very stinky substance. You may briefly initially increase the stink by spreading it around, but as you dilute it, it will stink less.

Also remember that body heat/circulation promoting the diffusion will be another factor to consider - So the larger area on both arms will be slightly better than a double app on one.

However, neither will be quite as effective as a smaller app on the (generally) warmer neck/throat area but proximity and moving you arms about may make that-up.

So its not quite as consistent as equal sprays on identical surfaces.
