> Good man, Red. If the purpose of this board is to advance the science of mones, perhaps more threads like this will do so. I previously used a 3D visualization of Alpha Nol as my avatar. Some years ago, Jasmin referenced the Van Der Waals similarity between P75 and 79, disclaiming a similarity to androstanone. An accurate way to visualize a molecule in 3D (and identify it correctly) is with a free software viewer called JMOL. One loads the SMILES format into the viewer. Thus, my avatar was born. Alpha nol is **C[C@]12CC[C@H]3C@HCC[C@@H]4[C@@]3(CCC@HO)C .**

There is _ **a lot** _ to unpack in this post.

I will definitely look into JMOL further. I went ahead and did the cursory wikipedia check, and it fulfills the only requirement I care about - it’s platform independent, i.e. OS X is supported as well as Windows.

Further research is required on SMILES or CML for me to be fluent enough to pick out specific molecules, but I’m interested, and knowing me, that means I’ll be reading up on this exclusively in my free time for the next week 😛

In the meantime, I’ll be reading about Van Der Waals so I know what the hell you’re talking about with p75 and p79 :o I just received (among other things) a 30ml of 75 and I’ve never used it before, so I’m looking forward to some testing. Of course, after I develop an initial opinion, I usually read as much as I can about each phero. A chemical background on the compound could be vueeeeeewry intuwhresting.

I remember that avatar of yours actually 😛 It always sparked me to remember the science. For Science!

Those of us that continue to read and post beyond “this gets me chicks” are all in it for the science, are we not?

Anyway, sorta drunk posting. Don’t know where to stop typing. You guys who get the science are my heroes. More power to you.

Peace and peaches
