Hello šŸ™‚ I got my first delivery of IShine and [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/) today. Fantastic service, so speedy šŸ˜ƒ I sprayed a couple of spays of IShine and found the smell very powerful, but not overwhelming. Then a few hours later I tried one spray of IO and boy the smell on the dry down still catches me. Itā€™s REALLY strong, like BO almost šŸ˜® . I havenā€™t noticed anyone reacting to these yet but I would like to know what is in the IO that i am reacting too. I keep on thinking that I must smell horrible to anyone who stands near near me but it is most likely MY reaction to the smell. Any ideas? ---

That smell is anol and to me it smells like dirty feet LOL I wear a cover scent with it but on the occasions that I havenā€™t no one notices the smell. I suggest you use a cover until your more confident with the scent of them. You dont want to feel self conscious while your wearing them it will show in your body language. The neroli blends with any other scent. Tisha ---

Huh - IO always just smells like neroli to me. I had to get used to the neroli scent at first - it was very different from any cologne I usually wear. The other half of the equation is that once the products dry down - they have almost o scent that others can detect and even the trace scent fades to almost nothing after an hour. I worked in an environment where cologne was a big no no and the neroli scent worked just fine. ---

Yeah, this is a factor that I think was something I had to get used to in the first few weeks of phero wearing. Possibly something that stops people initially getting the hits until they acclimatise to it. IO just smells like neroli to me too. I canā€™t smell hardly anything unusual in A1, beta-androstenol, P79, [P74](https://pheromonelabs.com/product/p74/)ā€¦ which has made me wonder! I think I have got a terrible sense of smell myself, I certainly donā€™t have a very sophisticated olfactory vocabularyā€¦ (ā€œbadā€/ā€œgoodā€/ā€œweirdā€ is about my limit!) ---

It wontā€™t cancel it out by any means. If it is an alcohol based spray it shoud technically slow diffusion. But I imagine the slowing would be negligible with another spray, possibly not even measurable. An EO or lotion over the top will slow diffusion more. Slower diffusion means less immediate intensity, but a longer lasting application. ---

I do not doubt it smells bad to some - it has just never bothered me - but being somewhat of a gym or dojo rat - well, your foot or body odor has to be _really_ bad to bother me at this point ā€¦ lol. ---

This is so weird! I thought that instant openness smelled ok (but not stinky at allā€¦) interestingā€¦ itā€™s confirmed, my nose receptors are dead. Edit: But I do remember my mom asking me why I smelled like Iā€™ve rolled around with a sweaty man. So maybe thereā€™s a few of us who donā€™t smell the stank in is/o? ---

They would probably love to have a girlfriend who - in addition to being smart, witty and attractive - would not tell them they stink and need a shower as soon as they get home from their workout. That would be pretty much any manā€™s dream girl: Guy: all sweaty and stinky from exercise, work, whatever ā€¦ Her: ā€œHi honey, glad you are home. No - youā€™re fine, I donā€™t smell a thing. Hereā€™s some water. Thatā€™s so funny!!! I worked out yesterday that it smelt of old stinky off milk lol. Really yucky smell! Many moons ago I was seeing this guy who to me smelled of tinned sweetcorn šŸ˜‰ . I thought it was really odd. It was definitly **his** smell and not a cologne. Not sexy at all! ---

I have put on instant honesty today and it isnā€™t stinky to me at all. So there is something in instant openness that isnā€™t in instant honesty!! ---

Yeah, come to think of it, IG smelt a bit like sweat to me actually, although not overly bad - so maybe I can smell androsterone, but OTOH [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) A314 just smells like some quite nice EO to me, I mean lots of folk, men and women, do not like the smell of A314, and it is interesting how their descriptions of the ā€œbad smellā€ vary so much. Emma, the balance of the alpha to beta androstenols is different in IH; it is betanol-heavy. So the alphanol is probably what you describe as the sour milk smell. But there is still some of it in IHā€¦ maybe it is below your threshold for recognising it as a sour milk smell or something. But of course what you can smell on yourself is not nearly as intense for other people, and your perceptions may be influenced by the fact that you know that you have put on something unusual. Others donā€™t know or suspect that. So when those hits start coming in, youā€™ll feel no qualms about stepping up to any social situation, even with a rather unconventional scent emanating from you! As well as a cover scent, you might like to have a cover _story_, in case anyone asks about the scent, so as you can feel secure (But they almost certainly wonā€™t ask). I just came up with the story that I had an aromatherapist friend who rustled me up a strange brew of EOs, and ā€œI havenā€™t a clue what is in them.ā€ LOL, never had to use the story. ---

I guess itā€™s hard for me to feel confident and sexy when the scent makes ME sick when Iā€™m wearing it and itā€™s had plenty of opportunity to ā€˜dry downā€™. It (and Sexiness) remind me of what Iā€™ve smelled on women who appear to be hookers or similar, that Iā€™ve seen on the street in the past. Just too strong, too acrid - too much.
