When I was snooping around the message board looking for info before my first order, I read somewhere that ifm is supposed to smell bad. Now that I have it, it does not smell bad. I realize some people perceive the scent differently, but it has absolutely no scent to me AT ALL. Not even a hint. It just smells like the alcohol used to allow it to evaporate. To add to my uncertainty, I’ve always possessed the qualities described as the ifm effects on women so its hard for me to tell if its working. I also noticed that I have not been getting the infamous depressing effects from it. Is it possible I got a bad batch? ---

Different people smell differently. I almost don’t smell anything on IFM. I am not getting depression too. ---

oh man, i started some threads here about IFM maybe two years ago now. i love IFM but i’ll be damned if that stuff didnt make me smell like a goat. must not be too bad though because i put my very last spray out of that first IFM bottle onto the back of my head today (versus two sprays to my chest years ago) and i’m looking to re-stock now. ---

The A-1 in [Instant Female Magic](https://a314.com/product/instant-female-magic/) is pretty darn funky–basically essence of BO and first cousin to -none scent-wise. Many guys are unable to smell androstenone–and that’s like the worse body funk possible–so perhaps some male noses are insensitive to A-1. Kinda makes sense as A-1 is the most common pheromone to occur naturally on human males. ---

I have a bad experience with IFM because of the smell and got many complaints in my business (Most people said that it was piss stench) I wear occasionally but I haven’t received any good reactions with it yet. ---

Personally I found both IFM & chemset A-1 to be too specialized for general/daily use. Most of the time noticeable effects are nonexistent. However during a woman’s time of hormonal upheaval both have proved virtual miracle workers for me. Basically PMS bitchiness and/or depression are temporarily cured within minutes. Amazing but true. Unfortunately I have not found any other useful situation for IFM/A-1. Really doesn’t provide buffering for -none or make women generally more comfortable or at ease. As for the smell, it does stink but is much milder than -none and is easily covered with cologne or a few dabs of hippie-ass EO. ---

I’m getting a very unclear answer lol. I am very aware that the perceptions of [pheromone scents](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/) are very broad, but is it out of the ordinary that I smell **nothing** of ifm when it smells like old animal to others? ---

don’t forget that your perception of smell/scent also changes over time, different people may perceive a smell differently, because everyone has a unique brain and sense of smell. also, you have to take into account your own body chemistry. ---

Not out of the ordinary at all. So far the only products that I perceive to have a pheromone smell are Raw Power and MX103. I just try to make sure I wear a little cologne or AMMO when I wear any [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) though because others might smell them even though I don’t. Never had anything but compliments even wearing the ones I do smell. ---

I can smell the piss like smell when I first apply [Instant Female Magic](https://a314.com/product/instant-female-magic/). After it dries its barely noticeable at all, but occasionally I get a whiff of the smell throughout the day. I always use a cover with IFM. I’ll never use that stuff alone. I only use IFM during those female special times of the month. I can’t tell exactly if it works or not, but I haven’t rarely received any bitchiness when I use it during those times so I think it is working.
