I didnt notice it the first few times I used it, but today it really hit me. I was told to take some healthy inhales of it when I first sprayed it and to basically have positive/happy thoughts. This time the urine smell really came through for me. I think I sprayed too much again w/o thinking. 1 spray on each wrist, but used arms to spread it from the wrists to the elbows, one on chest and one on each side of the neck. The only effects I got was that nasty urine smell and then a headache. It doesnt help that I dont like the cover scent _at_ all, I kind of resent having to spray MORE stuff, ie perfume to cover up the cover scent, so I didnt. So first I smell the neroli (Ive read people describe it as “citrus” but it doesnt smell like that to me at all, it’s yucky to me =/, I dont consider it a unisex scent, at least not for me.) and then the urine smell hits me, it was surprising. At first I almost thought I was “smelling things” lol but the smell never went away. I even tried to wash it off my wrists, the neroli almost disappeared but the urine smell was still there! At least it doesnt smell like cat urine, as that stuff is HORRIBLE, my bf has a cat. He peed in my bf bathroom because he accidently got locked in there and the stench penetrated the entire house. It smelled like a giant kitty litter box. So could be worse. So my only hits were, smells like urine and a headache. Ill make sure to do too less sprays and go from there. So yeah another OD for me. However I think the urine smell will remaine even when I spray less. 😮 ---

Good Goddess who the heck told you that LOL I hold my breath when I apply mones. No wonder people are getting headaches. I will get a major head rush from inhaling wet Ishine. The only time I will inhale wet mones is when I test the putatives the first few times. I never got a urine smell from Ishine myself but everyone perceives the smell of mones in different ways. Mones just dont smell good on there own. We really dont buy them to smell pretty but to evoke a response from others. You probably got such a strong urine scent because you did take a couple of wiffs of them wet. The smell of mones is always most foreign to the user because your used to always smelling your own natural mone signature. [Neroli](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/androtics-neroli/) as the cover scent is used not because of the scent. It is highly diffusive. It carries the mones well into the air so the molecules can be inhaled. It also blends well with other scents so its very easy to cover with your own perfume. If you dont have good diffusion mones just wont work. Its funny, a lot of men say it smells feminine and a lot of women say it smells to masculine. I never feel I have to cover products that have neroli in them but I do a lot of the times because I love to use different scents I am not sure why you resent covering them. If you are worried about the urine smell then I would cover them. You cant act natural if you walk around uncomfortable and worried that you smell like urine. Apply your Ishine and wait till they dry down then apply your cover. Waiting helps with scent cover so the underlying scent doesn’t bleed through as much. Also I have noticed when mones do begin to get more nasty smelling for me that if I use antibacterial soap in the shower it lessens that nasty smell. We all have bacteria on our bodies all the time in different amounts and this can cause mones to become smelly. Its what gives people BO from they own natural secretions. Tisha ---

Unfortunately, human musks have smells that aren’t all that nice. Thankfully, not everyone smells the raw smell of [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/) in the same way, and some people can’t smell them at all. And some of them that stink to me, others find smell wonderful. I can’t smell TAA or P74. But to me Androstenone, P96, and Apha Androstenol smell like toxic waste and beta androstenol smells like stinky feet. Beta Androstenol is one of my favorite pheromones,though (for self-effect, too) so I tolerate the smell while applying. I had the same problem you are having with P96. It took quite a bit before I could test this putative because it smelled so bad to me. I sprayed it on a napkin and took it around and had everyone else take a whiff. Almost everyone reported smelling a nice, clean smell, bleachy to some, but not unpleasant. I finally had to dilute it directly into Pink Sugar to test it. (My initial dosage was 50.0 mcg/spray.) Now I use this putative quite a bit. Anything with neroli in it I have to spray to the back of my neck because of an asthmatic reaction. I cover everything with Aqualina Pink sugar or some other vanilla based scent. It tames the neroli and covers the other stenchies very well. For things like Alpha Androstenol and Androstenone, any scent with a touch of licorice in it works wonders to mask the smell, even from you. My advice is don’t spray where you can inhale a ton if the smell bothers you, and learn the art of covering. 😛 Diane ---

Ashes, great advice from Tisha and Diane, I just wanted to add that you may want to actually hold your nose anytime you are spraying near your face. Then move away from the area you sprayed in before breathing through your nose. I’ve found that if I can keep the little microdroplets of spray from getting in my nose that the smell of neroli goes away quite fast but if I do breath while spraying the smell lasts forever. Hope this helps. I really had issues with a couple of products when I started too. Don’t give up! ---

The reason I said I resent it is because the [pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/) already has a cover scent, basically a perfume, something I dont like. I dont get a choice in the matter. I get that we dont wear phero’s to smell good, I dont expect the phero’s to smell good. I have to add another cover scent on top of the phero’s cover scent. I think I am sensitive to wearing “alot” of perfume. I do have asthma, typically triggered by cats, but I live in a very dry climate and it doesnt take much for me to start sneezing and having “minor” respiratory issues. Now I know no phero’s on the chest or neck, at least for awhile, hopefully Ill adjust. Which is a bummer. I really dont mean to be a party pooper, I am just stating my experiences, even though they arent positive. Which is still something that should be posted, if anything just for the noob perspective out there and just in case someone else has similar experiences. Im obviously making mistakes, but that is the nature of this “hobby”, I think. ---

I get that “desire to be involved with me” effect with TAF alone, too. I think for me, that is partly because how centered and calm and alert I get on TAF. That stance can be a very nice attractant to people in need of some feedback, and they are just naturally attracted to it. Diane ---

I don’t like neroli, either, so I feel you here. But, Androtics uses neroli because of its specific diffusion characteristics, which they can measure. It is kind of a control factor. I guess what I want to stress here is that neroli isn’t used to torture us, though it may seem like it at times… lol. There is real science behind their choice. Diane ---

Ok so where should I spray it? I think even the back of the neck is too much. I was trying to do some “self-experiments” since my TG is my bf that knows my scent very well, and as I learned much later, not to expect anything for sometime. I am beginning to think I do not have a lifestyle that is condusive to testing phero’s appropriately. I’m sorry for being so negative. I want to have something positive to post, I _really, really_ do. I think Im overthinking overthinking. ---

Again, spray and walk away from the area you sprayed. When you are in the new area, spray your cover scent. After the neroli settles, the smell isn’t so noticable, and the diffusion radius should still be the same for effecting others. It may take a little more time for the pheromone diffusion cloud to form, because you are not as warm on your wrists or ankles as you are on your neck, but the difference isn’t all that great, unless you are _cold_. I admit I am a sensitive person, and I have this bad habit of assuming what others are thinking, and it’s usually not positive lol. I feel like Im making myself go in circles, when it comes to stuff like this Im a perfectionist so if it doesnt go as I think it should, I get upset and frustrated, my brain starts going and that it’s lol. I need a pheromone angel/fairy or something lol. If only! ---

Renny and Di gave you some great advice. I just hold my breath but I am constantly moving around so I just naturally move out of the area Never had luck with spraying lower then my knee’s maybe its to cold as Diane suggested or the molecules just can get up high enough into the inhaling range. I only spray my knees if I am wearing a mini or shorts. Give it a try though it may work everyones body is different. You just joined this month so I would wait a little bit on the P96. Get the consumer mixes working for you first. Then move onto the experimental test mixes and from there go to the putatives. 😉 Keep in mind that putatives are test molecules and what it does for me may not be what it does for you. Tisha
