I just got my order today, so I thought I would try out the [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) first since I’ve heard a lot of good things about it. 🙂

Product: Instant Shine, 1x, Neroli scent, 15mcg/spray

Amount used: one spray to start with to chest

Self effects: --none noted even after 30 minutes, so applied another spray to wrists, split
–noticed a little uplift in mood, but nothing drastic. Actually got a little tired around an hour and a half after application and dozed off while I was reading LOL. Slept about 30 minutes. When I woke up, I applied another spray to my neck.
–seemed to wake up a little, noticed the scent more than before. Didn’t make much of a change in my mood, though.

It’s been about three hours since the last spray and no noticable changes. I’m leaving to go to a family party now, so I’m going to try two more sprays before I leave and see if it makes any difference to me, and what happens with other people. Should be interesting! 🙂

Just so that you know, Cancermoon, the wrists really aren’t a great place to apply your phero’s if you’re looking for self-effects. The best places for that are your chest, neck, and behind the ears. Your wrists are (of course) much farther away and get waved around alot, so they tend to spread the [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) around you, instead of keeping them close. 😉

Thanks! I’m just playing around a little to see what happens and what doesn’t at this point LOL.

Product: [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/), 1x, Neroli scent, 15mcg/spray

I did apply two more sprays, one to my hair, and one to my neck, before I went to the family birthday party.

Self Effects: Nothing really changed for me. I could smell the scent a lot stronger, but I didn’t feel any different than I usually do.

Effects on others: My mom kept “petting” my hair, which was really annoying me LOL. My aunt who is usually really bitchy was still really bitchy and pretty much ignored me all evening. My cousin was a little more talkative than usual, and joking around with everyone. Other than that, I didn’t notice much of a change in anyone’s behavior. No one went out of their way to talk to me, or hang out with me.

Duration of effects: applied first spray around 2pm, second 2:30pm, third 5:30pm, fourth and fifth 8:30pm.

So, all in all, not too much occurred. I don’t know if it is because I didn’t use enough, or applied it in the wrong areas, or it just doesn’t work on some people, or I didn’t notice “hits” that actually occured.

Will try again at work.

**Product:** [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/), 1x, Neroli scent, 15mcg/spray

**Day 2**. 5 sprays, 1 to chest, 1 to hair, 1 to neck, 1 each to wrist/forearms.

**Enviroment**. Nursing home, not too crowded.

**Self Effects**
Not too different than yesterday’s trial. Noticed a fairly strong scent for a couple hours after putting it on. Did feel a little happier, in a better mood, even when the night got a little crazy.

**Noticed effects to others.** One of my CNA’s was a lot more talkative than usual. But the one nurse I work with who is always crabby was still crabby no matter what.

**Range** people were 4-6 feet away from me

**Time response,** sometime within the first hour for others to show any response

Again, I don’t know if I’m just not good at reading “hits” or if there really isn’t much difference using this. Should I use more tomorrow? Apply in different areas?~sigh~ I’ll keep working on it.😕

**Product:** [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/), 1x, Neroli scent, 15mcg/spray

**Day 3**. 5 sprays: 1 to chest, 1 to hair, 1 to neck, 1 each to wrist/forearms.

**Enviroment**. Nursing home, busy shift, twenty two residents.

**Self Effects**
Not too different than previous trials. Continued to notice a fairly strong scent for a couple hours after putting it on. Seemed to stay calm even when things went wrong; didn’t get irritated easily.

**Noticed effects to others.** CNA’s were chatty, one in particular wanted to visit more than work! The crabby nurse was in a great mood, and very friendly tonight, which shocked everyone LOL. A couple of residents (ladies) were ‘touchy-feely’, patting my hands, arms, rear-end LOL.

**Range** people were 2-6 feet away from me

**Time response.** within first half hour of work.

**Duration**. all eight hours of my shift

One thing that happened this time is that my son who is 14, told me he really noticed ‘a smell’ and it gave him a headache.

**Product:** [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/), 1x, Neroli scent, 15mcg/spray

**Day 4 (Monday)**. 5 sprays: 1 to chest, 1 to hair, 1 to neck, 1 each to wrist/forearms.

**Enviroment**. Work @ Nursing home, one of my office days instead of working on the ‘floor’.

**Self Effects**
Continued to notice a fairly strong scent for a couple hours after putting it on. My mood seemed to be better, more “up” and smiley.

**Effects to others.** I don’t know if I’m just noticing it better or more than before, or if it is occuring more often now, but when people stop by my office, they are in good moods (especially for a Monday!), joking and chatty. I got a couple of comments from women asking what perfume I was wearing and that they liked it.

**Range** people were 2-3 feet away from me, across my desk

**Time response.** within a few minutes of coming into my office.

**Duration**. lasted all day 9am-5pm

**Product:** Instant Shine, 1x, Neroli scent, 15mcg/spray

**Day 5 (Tuesday)**.

Happy, even tempered mood.

**Effects to others.** People still stopping by my office, some of them for no reason, chatty and friendly, got some compliments on work related things out of the blue from people who aren’t known for that kind of thing. My supervisor was in a bad mood, and it didn’t seem to make any kind of improvement on that; her mood remained bad and grouchy even after I was around her for over 45 minutes. ☹

**Range** people were 2-3 feet away from me, across my desk while in my office; 4-6 feet while at the nurses station, or in the halls

**Time response.** within a few minutes of coming into my office.

**Duration**. lasted all day 9am-5pm

**Product:** [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/), 1x, Neroli scent, 15mcg/spray

**Day 5 (Thursday)**. 6 sprays: 1 to chest, 1 to hair, 1 to neck, 1 each to wrist/forearms, 1 to back of neck.

**Enviroment**. Work @ Nursing home, one of my office days instead of working on the ‘floor’, plus a couple of meetings.

**Self Effects** Even tempered mood, even during the boring meetings. I didn’t feel particularly “happy” or in a better mood than usual, though.

**Effects to others.** Nothing overly noticable today, people were friendly but no one was super-friendly or anything; or nicer than usual. But I didn’t notice anyone being really grouchy either.

**Range** people were 2-6 feet away from me

**Time response**.hard to tell since I didn’t really notice anything that stood out as out of the ordinary

**Duration**. 10am-4pm, the time I was at work

I’m not sure about IS. I haven’t noticed the self effects that I’ve read about from other postings, or effects on others either. Do I need to use more? Or different application points? Or just give it more time? Thanks for any tips! 🙂

Well, I backed off to 4 sprays today, to see if that would make any difference. Applied to wrists (1 spray each), chest, hair. I actually didn’t seem to get any kind of responses. ☹ Not from others, or myself, either. I didn’t notice feeling any different than I do without anything.

I’m not sure if I should try more than the six sprays–I didn’t notice much difference between five and six sprays. Any ideas appreciated!

Great job reporting CM,

Keep at it, I can feel your right on the brink of that “Ohhh Shit, now I see it” moment.

I am wondering if diffusion may be a problem. Is it cold were you are ? I have more trouble during colder periods here.

Give the cranky people like your Aunt or co-worker some time around it before you come to a conclusion on them. People brains are programed a certain way and sometimes it takes repeated exposure for them to feel it, process it and finally react to it.

Try concentrating your sprays more. By this I mean skip the wrists and forearms and do 2 sprays to the hair where you lose most your body heat. See if that helps with diffusing the product more.

Keep in mind that Ishine doesn’t necessarily make people talk more. It draws them closer to you. Kinda like a cat laying in the sun, all contented and happy. Your the sun in this metaphor LOL People will be drawn to you. I did find after wearing it for a while people reacted more and I began to get comments like. “Your so nice I always feel good when I am around you”

Give it time… Sometimes I wish they didn’t pick “Instant” for the product names LOL

Tisha

Thanks, Tisha! 🙂

LOL, I wish it did work “instantly”…that would be so nice! I’ll try putting the sprays more to my hair instead of wrists next time, see if that makes a difference. I was thinking that wrists/arms would “spread it around” more LOL. Does it usually take quite a few sprays to find a sweet spot? I know it is individual, but when I tried the six sprays, I could **really** smell the neroli for a **long** time, and I’m not sure if it would bother me if I needed more sprays than that. 😕 Just curious!

</div>

So I tried [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) for the 7th time today, and really upped the sprays, thinking maybe that would make a difference (after reading Smelly’s post on IS accidental OD).

**Product:** Instant Shine, 1x, Neroli scent, 15mcg/spray

**Day 7**. 10 sprays total: 2 to chest, 3 to hair, 2 to neck, all applied at around 9am. Added 1 more spray to chest and 2 to hair at around 1pm.

**Enviroment**. Nursing home, worked in various areas today. Part of the day in my office, part at the nurses station, some time spent interviewing residents.

**Self Effects**
I had to stop at 7 sprays due to the strong scent in the beginning. I felt like I was wearing a cloud LOL. The smell was pretty noticable for several hours after application. As far as feeling ‘shiny’, which is what I was hoping for–I don’t know if I am just dense, or I don’t really get a strong effect, but other than feeling a little less stressed, even when dealing with overly PIA staff and family members, I just didn’t notice much self effects.

**Noticed effects to others.** Everyone seemed mellower than usual, happy, talkative.

**Range** people were 2-6 feet away from me

**Time response.** within first half hour of work.

**Duration**. 9am-6pm

I guess maybe I just don’t seem to be getting much in the way of self effects, unfortunately. How much would be considered **too** much, or is there such a thing? I used 150mcg total this time, and that seems like a lot to me, but maybe not…?

Hmm, well it seems you’re getting great effects on others, but just aren’t getting the self effects. Don’t worry, it happens to me alot too. It takes ALOT to get the self effects that some people get at 1-2 sprays. As in, right now i’m wearing 112.5 mcg of -none, and not feeling too aggressive. 🙄

By any chance, would you happen to be ADD? Seems like alot of ADD people get different responses to these phero’s than the other members.

No, I wouldn’t think so…If you take meds for OCD I’m assuming they are SSRI type meds? They aren’t stimulants like ADD meds.

Ask Diane though, she’s the science guru here…she could tell you if IS dosage is in anyway related to serotonin or SSRI’s 🙂

Agh I got sleepy with is too. Actually the bottle I got seems to affect the whole household that way even our cats rofl. Poor kitties. Although I did wear it out one day with a back and back of the neck application and seemed to notice people paying attention to me more.
