There is this ringtone out there that is just a high frequency pitch at 17khrz. Its really cool. Typically people over 30 years old cant here it. Its great for when in class and vibration on the phone is too loud. It will be very annoying to anyone with sensitive ears to it though. hehe.. my brother has itā€¦ i have no idea why i canā€™t hear it.. i have really good ears and it drives me crazy coz seems that only I canā€™t hear it.. and Iā€™m 19, not 30!!! gah! ---

haha - I guess ā€œStatisticallyā€ its people ā€˜typicallyā€™ over the age of 30. Others can fall in that category too šŸ™‚ Its really cool. I can have my music blasting in my car and still hear itā€¦even at concerts šŸ˜ƒ ---

Well, I could hear it (Iā€™m 22), and it was very annoying. Reminds me of a noise I hear on occasion, like a ringing in my ears that comes and suddenly goes. Overall, nails on a chalkboard sound more pleasant. ---

If you didnā€™t power down some old computer moniters from long agoā€¦ ā€˜thatā€™ high pitch sound would cripple me. ---

Cchic, yes alot of speakers may not be able to reproduce that sound..but since a tiny cell-phone speaker can, you should be able to hear it! it is very high pitched.. painful. ---

I still envy people who can listen to them. Curiouschic, you should get someone else to listen to them to see whether itā€™s the computer speakers. I tried it again (2 minutes of utter silence) until my sister who was sleeping one floor down shouted at me to keep the noise down. Dumbfounded I am. ---

I heard nothing either, but thatā€™s not surprising considering that in my 20ā€™s, when I was in the Air Force, I used to think I was cool because unless was an inspector around and I was forced to, I wouldnā€™t wear ear protectors when I was right next to screaming B-52 jet engines. ---
