You know it’s really too bad that VS and SW are going to merge. I’d rather not put stock in Bang Bang, only Titty Titty. Make love, not war! 😃

Yea seems like multiple factors (Oil, Food, Threats of War) are really shaking up the U.S. and World Economy. The mergers sounds interesting.

What do you think about the possible Budweiser/InBev merger?

If I had more money to throw around I’d invest in DryGoods Transporter stocks since most of the tons of natural resources are being shipped around the world mainly in the asia/india areas.

InBev Bud Takeover is bad! (at least that is what I get off the news)
I think it shows just how weak the American dollar is.

I threw some money in a BRIC fund this year (Brazil, India, Russia and china) a growing markets fund.

Discount retailers are showing the most growth, and local shops who don’t import all their merchandise to sell in the USA.
I am not sure about the stay away from American Auto makers mantra I got from my investment broker, they could break out of their SUV cycle at any time. (I blew him away with Intel when they hit 16 a share, I said look at the money they are spending in Growth and advertising. plus they pay a good dividend.)

Just remember what a stockbroker once told me about safe, stable long-term investments: “You never can go wrong with Kimberly-Clark. No matter how bad the market goes, people still need to wipe their asses.” True story, and you’ll find Kimberly-Clark in most portfolios among people who are active in the market with healthy diversification.

BTW, you guys do realize Mark’s post was a joke, right? I think some of the phonetic references in the “new” names may be a bit obscure or a little too Ameri-centric for those of you not from the States. 😉
