What does [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) 2X Double Strength (50%) mean? Does it mean that the product is twice as strong, but the amount is half as much as regular Instant Shine? I see that 1x is $39.95 and 2X is $59.93. If 2x is only half the amount of product it would be more economical to purchase 1X. If 2X is the same amount of product as 1X than 2X would be more economical. Thank You for your answers in advance. DrZorters ---

you have the same amount of fluid in both bottles. The 2x just has 2x as many [pheromones](https://a314.com/) in it. I believe that answers your question. 50% means it costs 50% extra for the 2x. So 2x is 150% of the price of 1x. Therefore it’s actually more economical to get the 2x version. ---

Doc, youll find that most of the Androtics products are more economical in higher dosages. It does cost a certain fixed amount for preparation, the bottle, the sprayer, label, etc. The important thing is whether youre an advanced user who can handle titrating things down to normal dosages and how much of the stuff you intend to use. Since youre new to Androtics products, i would suggest you stick with 1x dosage for everything until youve played around a while. Its difficult to get 1/2 spray or 1/4 spray consistently, and sometimes less is more with pheros. ---

Tad Mater has a point there. But I don’t think it’s that bad with IShine - there’s no OD level as far as I can think. You just might use more than you have to to achieve results. ---

The price quotations on AD’s web pages typically start with a base product and then the product options in the drop-down list are given in terms of _added cost_ – so the base price for 30 ml of androstenone is for 2.5 mcg per spray at $14.95. When you look at the drop down list, the same preparation with 5.0 mcg per spray is +$7, with 50 mcg per spray, +$73 per bottle. Of course, you can do the math: that 5mcg -none (+$7) is also double the -none but is just 46.8% more than the base product: from a pure relative cost per mcg of pheromone, a slightly better deal than the price increment for the extra strength [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/). The drop down list for Instant Shine just shows the additional cost as a percent instead of an absolute dollar increment. Threw me for a loss the first time I saw it too. ---
