Mmk, well i had quite a bit of downtime this morning since i managed to get my class work done much earlier than expected, so i skipped drinking my usual pick-me-up cup of tea and decided to try a self-experiment with TAF this morning. This is a bit raw and i haven’t done the several trials i usually like, but what the heck. Gotta share some of the results i’m getting sometimes. 😉

8:48 am:
Sprayed 1.5 sprays 12.5 mcg TAF on front of neck (you know, that weird half spray that comes out of a new bottle…)

8:55 am:
I’m feeling a bit more mentally awake from my previous dead-to-the-world state. Not physically like tea/caffeine would have done, but purely in the mental aspect. I seem to be going in and out of concentration mode while working on my computer… sometimes i’ll have increased focus on what i’m reading and sometimes i’ll be in a state where i’m paying attention to everything at once, but nothing very intensely.

9:03 am:
It’s hard for me to concentrate while looking at the computer screen, but when i glance away it seems that i can pick up more notes of light on the objects around me… instead of just a silvery sheen coming off of an aluminum can, i seem to pick up notes of blue reflected from it as well… interesting. There’s maybe a bit more detail and clarity in sight as well, when compared to how i usually notice the objects in my environment. Next i’ll try reading to try my focus while not looking at a screen…

9:09 am:
To assess the difference between my earlier mental awakeness and my present state, i tried closing my eyes to ignore physical tiredness. I seem to be VERY mentally awake, which is a definite improvement from earlier, when i had been slightly drifting mentally this morning.

9:20 am:
Strangely enough, i’ve been having a hard time focusing while reading, which is NEVER a problem for me. But when i’m trying to read the words, i continue to note differences in the notes of light playing on the pages of my book… colors seem more vibrant than usual. Kind of distracting for mental endeavors, it seems…

9:38 am:
Now i’ve read about members getting a very focused, “nothing can stop me now” vibe from this one, which i have yet to receive. So i decided to add one more spray of TAF to my neck.

9:56 am:
The vibrant colors have now faded back to normal, while i seem to be getting that singular focus that many people have mentioned in regards to TAF. This seems a bit strange, since i seem to recall Steve had a blinding headache from trying 3 sprays of TAF at once, while i haven’t experienced any uncomfortable sensations yet… I’m curious as to whether this has to do with my ADD and the difference in excitement needed for my frontal and parietal lobes… Then again, i don’t recall the mcg on Steve’s bottle, either…

10:08 am:
I’ve been feeling particularly driven and focused while doing my daily chores without noticing any boredom. Doing 2 days of backed up dishes (i’ve had ALOT of work for class) by hand since i don’t have a dishwasher and have been perfectly content… this is not usual. I’ve also noticed that my mouth has a slight case of being dry and “cottony”, as well as the fact my jaw seems a bit tense.

11:19 am:
The intense focus and concentration seems to be starting to wearing off, although not completely. I’ve also suddenly noticed i’m really hungry (not surprising, since i haven’t eaten since 6:30 am), but i hadn’t felt any hunger until now. Possible appetite suppression? Can’t give any conclusive guesses on that without more testing. Headed out to go get some food.

This putative seems to affect both visual processing and attention/concentration in my testing. This suggests an increase in activity of the frontal lobe, perhaps even having to do with the dopamine receptors in the brain. This could explain needing a higher dosage of spray (?) to get the effect for focus in someone with ADD (pre-frontal cortex is understimulated). However, need many more tests before i can make any conclusive statements.

Nice report, Mr. Feel Good! 🙂

I like TAF, though it has tendency to scatter my attention if I don’t take pains to dial down the distractions.

I’ll be curious to see what reactions you have when you add it to a mix.

Great report MFG!
I’d say you’re bang on there withyour theory about the ADD and frontal cortex…both DA and NA involved would be my guess. 🙂

Have you read my & Diane’s reports? We both have ADD and get different results from the rest of the testers… It seems that most people notice overall stimulance that is almost buzzlike, and enhancing all sorts of sensory input in an almost overwhelming fashion so they end up experiencing everything around them enhanced…

Diane and I get a different effect…TAF seems to slow that overstimulation down and focus us in a centering way instead on everything and anyting… I find that I get almost hyperfocused with it… I can buckle down and get work done without noticing or getting distracted by everything around me…

As far as dosages go…I can get away with quite high doses without getting the effects that most people get. I still use less than Diane though, but I think this is because I take meds for my ADD and she doesn’t… Are you medicating for it? If you’re not I bet you could go higher too…

Nope, i’ve been off meds for about 2 years now, since i HATED the side effects. Tried 3 different types of meds too, so it wasn’t just the dexadrine. But with enough willpower and plenty of contemplation on how to improve habits and ways to keep focused, i’m actually doing pretty well. Just need to eat right, excercise everyday, and get enough sleep.

I actually haven’t read your reports on TAF yet… i would look into that now, but since i know that you’re both ADD and have received different reactions from most people, i think i’ll hold off until i do some more self-effect tests on my own first. Don’t want to get too biased and see what everyone else is. 😉 But as soon as i’m done with my tests, i’ll be sure to check them out!

Nice work MFG, I played with relatively high doses of TAF (45mcg+) earlier this week and had much the same results ( in my journal if you’re bored!) Slight right frontal lobe headache which dissipated shortly after appearing.

Gonnna try a TAF/[P93](https://pheromonelabs.com/product/p93/) combo in the hope of some hyper focus for the office

Well, I hope this doesn’t spoil your experiments without bias…

I’ve now confirmed my hypothesis as to why Diane can use a lot higher doses of [TAF](https://pheromonelabs.com/) than I do withut getting any weird effects.

We both have ADD so react differently to the [TAF](https://pheromonelabs.com/) than other users here on he forum, but I use a lot less than her…My thoughts on the reason for that was that she doesn’t currently medicate for her ADD, whereas I do, so I use [TAF](https://pheromonelabs.com/) as a complement to my regular meds.

Today, being the weekend and all, I didn’t have the need to really take a full dose as I’m not on call. So I decided to only take half of my normal dose and add some [TAF](https://pheromonelabs.com/) . Normally when I add [TAF](https://pheromonelabs.com/) I apply about 20 [mcg](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microgram) and that’s great as an add-on to my meds.

Today I sprayed on 25 [mcg](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microgram) after only taking half my dose of meds…I might as well have sprayed myself with water! It did absolutely F\*\*\* all 😮 Nothing…no extra focus, motivation or anything…

I added another 10mcg an hour later, and if I sit and really think about it I could say there is possibly a tiny bit motivation, but no improvement in focus…The motivation is so slight I’m not sure if it’s even from the [TAF](https://pheromonelabs.com/) , it might well just be the stress about my clinical exams that are coming up in 3 weeks…

I should have tried this yesterday! If I had then I could have tried an even higher [TAF](https://pheromonelabs.com/) dose today…but it’s already 2pm here so I don’t want to risk messing my sleep up…maybe next weekend 🙄

The first time I wore TAF alone, I wore 80.0 mcg. I repeated the same dosage for 3 days, skipped one day, and wore again on the 5th day. All I got was very focused and centered, and I was approached in crowds for information and chats, and everyone was a little deferential. The one day I skipped I had a woman who became very irritable with me. It might have just been her personality (she was a stranger) or the lack of TAF and my resulting body language may have had something to do with it. I just mention it because her behavior was in such striking contrast to what I had been seeing consistently the prior three days.

I had no problems with sleeping wearing the TAF and didn’t find it motivational, just centering and focusing.

MFG, when I first started using TAF my reaction was more like diamond’s. The first time I used it, (37.5mcg…3 sprays/12.5mcg over three hours) it wasn’t exactly a headache. Upon my first spray (12.5mcg) it wasn’t so much the _aching_ part of the headache… ya know, squeeze and release…squeeze and realease…like the kinda ache ya get from inflamation?..but more _squeezing_ of my frontal lobes (_both_…and it was steady pressure), so much so, it was like the room was foggy! I hope that makes sense. Though, I must say, with use over time that feeling dissipated. (There’s also a report, about my first experience with TAF, in the Ballroom…like diamond said…when you get bored. 😃)

_80mcg of TAF?_ Oh my, Di! I wouldn’t be able to sleep for a week! ( 😮 \<\<\< Bella on 80mcg/TAF) Of course, we both know my reactions to TAF are _way different_ than yours. Once again, it just shows ta go ya how very differently these molecules can effect us individually, for any number of reasons. 😉

I find it less distracting when added to a mix in a relatively low dose. In fact, since I’ve been using it for quite a while now, I’ve also found I’ve even been able to step up the dose from what I initially found distracting…but only under certain circumstances.

This thread has been helpful. I had used TAC before at 50 mcgs per spray and it seemed nearly overwhelming with its effects. I was feeling lazy and indifferent to stuff going on around me. I am quite attentive to details and seem to be sensitive to [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) so it should be interesting what the TAF I have ordered does for me. I am into things like golf and archery and it should be interesting to see how TAF effects my performance.

Interesting. I have ADD, but I don’t medicate. (Tried meds. It was awesome when first tried it, then the effects faded, and when I upped the dosage, I had a very bad reaction.) Maybe I need some TAF.

They are concise. 🙂 Clearly written in an easy to understand format. Cool. I should consider noting my observations based upon time… I am scatterbrained so I thought I would need to have a pad with me to be able to do it based upon time, and that would end up looking weird.

I think, with the camera by my side, I would just blend in as a reporter/media type. I mean, we do take alot of pics anyway for our art projects. So I guess in that context a notepad wouldn’t be out of the question.

When writing it out in this format, how functional was it? Were you able to get things done or did it glue you to the computer? I wanna be able to take this concept mobile.

This is a very inspiring post. You really know how to paint an impression of how your mind is working. The introspection was neat to see play out. Very, very cool post. I think this is a good way of reporting an experience. How to apply it in the field?

Hmmm, well i decided to do this while i would be just around the room, so i used my computer as a notebook, but the idea would be easily applied to a paper notebook as well. Especially if you’re an art student, i assume you’d have notebooks for your class anyways. You could always pull one more out and jot some notes down before/after class.

I got the idea to note the time in the actual journal when i noticed that some people had created updates at certain times to leave their current impressions, but after two weeks go by there was no way to tell whether each entry had been 15 min or 3 hours apart.. they all said 2 weeks ago! 😮

But usually what i actually do when testing on the go is just make mental notes. Get the general impressions, actually stop and take the time to note whats going on around/with me and make a mental impression of it, then when i can return to my room i jot it all down. But whatever works for you, there’s no wrong way to test!

Cool. I don’t hold detail in my head in a manner that would allow me to do this, I think… I make mental notes, but I get overwhelmed sometimes myself by a particular result that makes the others seem less… Memory worthy? For instance, I know I get alot of hits with eye contact but if, three minutes later of just getting minor eye contact while walking through a room, I meet someone that talks to me, I can get distracted, partially due to the joy of seeing it work, and partially due to genuine interest in what the person has to say… I am a people person, I like people, and it is easy for me to be distracted with a successful result that tends to color my impression of the entire evening… Hrmmmm… Stuff to ponder…
