I've been holding my words back till now..

Josie,

I’ve done the same exact thing.

I think we’re all guilty of doing it in one form or another. I just believe this community would be better served if we all pulled together and help each other constructively.

I’ve given lots of advice and it’s been ignored by many.

Everyone really does need to go through the phero baptism though and learn for themselves. Phero bombing yourself and od/ghosting yourself is a part of the learning process.

The reason why I stopped posting awhile back is because the forum changed for the worse for a bit with a bunch of idiots joining and doing exactly what p51’s original post is about. I came back and was fortunate to see a few of the older members still here, but some of the newer members were contributing in a massive way (p51, thegentleman, mobocaster, happytappin, etc) and I felt like the forum was on an upswing again.

I honestly don’t read most of the threads unless they look like something that interests me (reporting on certain molecules or from specific members because I like their writing style or I know that they’re not going to be asking stupid fucking questions.

I’m glad that my contribution here has helped anyone at all. And I’ll continue to talk about the things I know about and put forth the best information and reporting I can when I do report.

Its good to see you and others from around the time we joined coming out of the woodwork. I do feel this place is nowhere near the same as it was when around the time Reclipse and I both joined, but sometimes I wonder if that was just because I was new.

It’s definitely not the same. The popularity of this site has grown immensely in the past year and with growth like that comes change.

I’m glad to be contributing to this forum still. AD and this forum have helped me to change/improve many things in my life. If my contributions can do the same for others then it’s well worth it to me.

I have to agree with Reclipse. I used to post on here A LOT, and used to love coming here because there were loads of great reports from experienced users, many of whom have helped me in many ways and still do.

When I looked back at this forum in late May, and early June I was contemplating never posting again simply because the amount of garbage floating around the forum was getting rediculous. Most of the users I was used to seeing (Snoopyace,Catlord, DJ, JJ,Scottie123,evolver,etc.) weren’t posting (probably for the same reasons I wasn’t) so I simply kept my distance from the site.

But after seeing some great posts from some of the new users here (you guys know who you are ) it motivated me to come back and at least share a bit of the knowledge that I do have.

Yes, I do sometimes get tired of the repeat threads, but I honestly don’t mind when people ask about A1 dilution ratios, or PM me with questions because I remember when I needed help there were good guys (and gals) ready and waiting to help, so I try to do my best to return the favor.

PS: great thread.

It honestly is like a gem when I see you guys posting here again.

I felt like the knowledge I gained from having your perspectives were invaluable to how much I learned the products. Granted you really just need the basics, but the science and the basic concept of this intrigues me and it’s a treat when one of you guys post.

But thanks for coming back, I know you’ve helped me out in my future mixes and I have everything ready and set to go.

I try not to bag on anyone too much for repeat threads, although sometimes I feel that I myself might be coming off as boring to older members for repeating the same advice numerous times. I try to be understanding of the excitement a new user might have and wanting answers right away without having to dig through numerous threads, many of which can be several pages of stuff that they might not understand or be even applicable to them just to get to a single post that answers their question.

So I try not to be the “Use the search feature” guy. I just answer the questions to the best of my knowledge and ability…just accept that most of the people answering your questions know what they know from almost a year (in my personal case) to upwards of several years of trial and error practical experience. If you don’t like the answers to the questions, don’t ask the questions. Some of us don’t like having our advice (especially when it’s asked for) dismissed as if we don’t know what we’re talking about.

In a nutshell, that is exactly why I joined. After lurking for several months and reading past posts, then having my first and most positive experiences with a Androtics products. It had become obvious that there is a strong sense of community and unselfish sharing of knowledge and experience amongst the core posters here. Which is exactly what I like about a forum and is also what keeps me on the other two forums (in totally different areas) I regularly contribute to.

Ya just have to face the music… the culture is changing faster than even the kids are able to deal with… all the fixed points are being blown away… everybody has there own truth now, their own relativity… prob. the core ideas of what it means to have a “self” are being dissolved..

To be completely honest I wouldn’t even be testing putatives or any of the mixes if it weren’t for the older journals that I have read on here. I have noticed that there seems to be a change from discussions of mones to the discussion of Alpha male characteristics and character development in general. Honestly I believe the two go hand in hand. I try to provide as much insight as I can while also looking to people like Radman, TheGentleman, P51, and Steve for added advice.

It really sounds like the Men’s forum needs to be broken down into two more sub sections, pheromone use tips and character development/ self improvement.

Thoughts?

I think the reason for the shift is that as the forum grows in popularity with new users, many of whom come in with loftier expectations than mones can actually provide…advice on congruence becomes much more important.

We can easily advice somebody on the best application of Instant Gentleman vs Ammo but if the person is new and isn’t instructed on how to be congruent with the signal they’re sending out, then the desired result won’t be achieved and the failure would be blamed on the product.

As a fan and loyal user of AD’s products it’s in MY best interest that they are successful. If they ever went under and I couldn’t get their products anymore I’d be very disappointed. So my own way to try and help things along for them is to offer what tips I can regarding not just the technicals of when, where and why to use the mones, but the how’s. I feel in many ways that the two are so intertwined that congruence is as important as the molecules themselves.

I suspect there are more alienated people than ever before who have no idea how to relate, to themselves, to women, to humanity in general… pheromones can’t make them whole, pheromones can’t substitute for a healthy childhood or a meaningful adolescence… the smart kids are being pushed so hard to be burned out little overachievers their teachers call them crispies… then to be certain no stone is left unturned they are pumped full of amphetamines… never labeled amphetamine, always given a tasteful, clinical sounding brand name like Vynase or Adderall… make no mistake, kids are being blasted with amphetamines in order to make them focus on their work… who are we deceiving here ?.. in order to make a broken social security system work when the dependency ratios become unsustainable, we need a population of ultra-hard working, ultra-narrow focused grind bots to keep the economy afloat… this is really no different than a strategic energy policy… we don’t want or need interesting, broad thinking, self educated, philosophical citizens, we want obedient McSlaves™to keep us even with China’s emerging managerial/engineering/professional classes… the governing classes that from the inside the beltway Washington culture operate in a very artificial, compromised environment where campaigns are so expensive you have to go begging to the highest bidder if you want to remain in office… the oligarchy that really runs this country couldn’t give two shits what goes through the minds of the average slob as long as they don’t make trouble for the system…

This post really resonates with me :open_mouth:

Tacitus that was incredibly insightfull and true on more levels than most people would care to admit too

Yeah, and that’s the optimistic reading. When it dawns on you that the political personalities on TV (right, left and “moderate”) are nothing more than dancing monkeys on a string who rant or knit their brows reasonably and pretend to get to the bottom of things when all they’re doing is reading the script that management handed them that morning… to drill for tinpot outrage and keep the fog machine whirring with pseudo-issues long enough for the real players to get done what they need to get done without the public catching on… people, puleeeeze… Glenn Beck or Alan Colmes (and everyone of their ilk) are entertainers, their job is to give people the false impression that they are informed… with their pseudo-debates and pseudo-insights and pseudo-scandals… their real purpose is to make sure the typical American’s mind is so stuffed with confusing, scrambled garbage that they don’t have the faintest idea of what might really be going down.

Summary (of this long post):

  1. A self-improvement section, though challenging to implement in a forum format, could point users in the right direction to resources which may help them benefit more.
  2. The changes in this forum reflect typical developments both in society and in large social systems, when a certain size is exceeded. I believe knowing one’s own key values can help guard them and that those forum members with more seniority and commitment are best positioned to be the “gatekeepers”
  3. I believe that methods for using user-generated feedback are available and can be adapted to better handle/streamline the plethora of posts/repetitive questions to a manageable selection for each member.

I second this suggestion, though self-improvement, as you know, is a vast field and much of it is not about information, but about processes, honesty, growth steps to take. Although a new member myself, my focus in researching ph-mones was curiosity and as an aid in my personal growth, creating more opportunities to interact positively, to learn and more confidently seek challenges in business and dating, when some memories of past disappointments/failures (is that word even allowed anymore?) are present in my consciousness. From your valuable posts I noted an ability to observe yourself and an interest in growth, too. There must be others.

All the more a reason that those who (like you) realize the negative effect of television (“boob tube” seems an appropriate term) or think critically about the world situation, need to find new fixed points, to focus on self-improvement (of the “true” self, that which goes deeper than just functioning better in a society which is largely fashioned by vested interests with a hold on most people’s lives and minds), identifying one’s own values as anchors, uncovering one’s strengths to live according to these values, devising strategies to act with pragmatic intent and effectively in this world, even when my values may not yet be shared by the majority. And to my pleasant surprise (!) and joy, I find like-minded thinkers and high-quality threads in this forum.

From my limited experience reading a few hundred posts until now, I share this perspective. Many sincere posts indicating a spirit of sharing, quite a few which hold a perspective endorsing learning, self-improvement and growth. Still P51Mustang’s concern (about effects of growth), I believe, is valid. A forum of several thousand users (with many more posts) makes it more difficult (unless one invests a lot of time which I did) to get a good idea of which ones are the valuable posts, to “separate the wheat from the chaff”.
Fortunately, I believe, methods are available to manage such growth (experts in web 2.0 and 3.0 design would know more about that, when the objectives are clear), e.g. I instantly think of Amazon’s rating system.
Just for illustration, imagine the following:
except for a “newbie intro and questions area” let the X% of most senior (or highest-rep) members have a special privilege to (anonymously, if necessary) rate (with a plus or minus) all posts, with the higher-ranking members (sorry, no equality there, as I believe, more senior members, on average have the higher commitment, experience and interest in maintaining the forum’s health) wielding more power. Blatant misuse of this privilege could be sanctioned by the peers. All users could then select, whether they want the posts with lower ratings to be displayed. This, I believe, would drive the quality of posts up, maybe reduce the quantity somewhat while facilitating readability. Another option to add some visual database functionality (where instead of sequentially reading post after post and duplicating with quotes, comments could be appended to the original post, i.e.in a different color) to the forum (but $$$). These ideas are just to show, that given a common intention by committed individuals agreeing on the values that deserve to be protected, then appropriate steps can be taken.
What I believe is less likely to work is hoping that people will change of their own accord, that individual efforts without changes to the underlying systems can overcome driving forces of strong forum growth, societal imbalances or people’s lack of consciousness and understanding.
And there are likely many other approaches to achieve such a goal of maintaining a positive experience in this forum for the majority of committed users. I believe, that wisely installed systems and rules can be supportive to this end, but would “weed out” those with a different set of values.

First of all thanks for including me. You’re one of those I wished to have included in my list but I couldn’t remember everyone at that moment.

Having another forum for self-improvement character development would be fantastic. I know a lot of that kind of stuff gets posted in the lounge, but you do have to sift through some really off-topic stuff. I came across some amazing threads there a few weeks back that I didn’t see because I just skimmed the forum.

Ah… so true. Might be better if the forums then stayed together for fear of losing out on that important advice that would help people to work their mones.

I too would be disappointed if this company did not succeed. I really do love coming to this forum, I really do love supporting this company and the wonderful products they make. I am spreading the news about them to people I know who would actually take the time to learn and improve themselves on top of just attracting the opposite sex.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again here. I learn not just about mones here, but this company IMO is a great one to model. Their idea of corporate citizenship is exemplary. The things they do, the services they provide, and the help they offer to people in need just blows me away.

The grocery store I work at that is the licensee for STarbucks, I could get fired for giving a free cup of coffee to a customer that has been coming there 5-7 days a week for 2-3 years straight…and we’re talking $1.62.

So yeah they really impress me. Believe you me, I am taking all kinds of notes and will model them in my next venture.

I’m new and know how to use forums like these, so perhaps a “from a newbie” perception would be helpful. This was also addressed by Radman in another thread.

I consider myself a pretty comprehensive individual. I like to research as much as possible, test things out, then ask questions. When I first came to this gigantic forum, I was amazed at the friendliness, customer service, the incentives and the wealth of knowledge on mones.

In fact, it was this wealth of knowledge that I found a bit overwhelming. There are so many cool products, putatives, etc that it’s easy to get caught up in learning about each before doing any testing of your own. Add this to the fact that there are HUNDREDS of threads, testimonials, journals and accounts on what works for whom that it becomes a cacophony instead of a symphony in your head.

It can be somewhat dizzying!

In my experience, coming to this great forum has been awesome. I’d also point out that, as much as some of the threads have been condensed into stickies and must-reads, oftentimes one article leads to another journal, which leads to a tooltip link that leads to something in the store which leads to reviews, which leads back to searching for answers to questions on the forum… etc, etc.

Pretty soon people are attempting to weigh things in their minds because all of the products sound fantastic. They don’t know what to choose.

Sure, attention span and maturity has something to do with it, but I don’t believe they are the only factors.

The nature of forums like these is that the sheer quantity of quality information can be intimidating. And I believe this is why people may want to simplify things and ask questions above all of the “noise.”

I’m not necessarily defending “newby questions” that could be answered by doing a search. I understand why it must be aggravating for long-time users to have their works ignored. I’m only pointing out why it may happen.

This is a really good point to look at. The repeat posts do get old, and they can just do a search and get a lot of answers. But there is something to be said about asking a question in YOUR way and getting a an answer right to you directly… and with new people joining there are certainly going to be these repeats… we just have to do our best to help them out, because they may be new, but they may have great input soon., especially if we give them good advice
