# I've found some ambergris and am not sure what to do?

I’ve found some ambergris and am after some advice on what to do with it. I know it’s valuable but am not sure where or who to sell it to and how much it is worth. Any advice would be gratefully received.

First you need to get it appraised. Call some aquariums and see if they have a curator who can help you. They may be able to give you a list of reputable companies or dealers willing to buy it.

If you have a university with a marine biology depeartment near by they can help you as well.
