And got a free To-go sample of [Instant Honesty](https://a314.com/product/instant-honesty/) to boot! Thanks, Androtics! Okay, first impressions. The smell of A314 needs some serious cover. In fact, it stinks something fierce. V.17, Batch 6. Good thing I had a To-go atomizer of Canali Summer Night handy. That covered it well enough. You can still smell the pheros, but that fades soon enough. 2 drops a couple hours apart, both spread across the jawline. No noticeable hits today. Some glances and smiles, but people at my workplace are generally very friendly anyway, so might not mean anything. Besides, I’m not exactly expecting all-out HITS. My understanding of A314 is that it creates a more subtle alpha vibe. Fine with me. I can use that, and I’m confident enough that it is working. I noticed on the ingredient list that the main ingredient by volume is dipropylene glycol. Then water and alcohol. Thought that was strange because I was under the impression that A314 was oil based. Not a complaint, just an observation. ---

Was there any mention of [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) on the sticker? I see they’re on the next batch after mine. I’m curious if they dropped the Akuto on batch 6, and/or what other differences there may be from batch to batch that aren’t significant enough to warrant a new version number, if any. -D4 ---

I have the [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) version as well, version 17, batch 5, and it smells like vomit. a mix of bitter herbs and sour tuna. ---

I have the new version (arrived today) the bottom says: Version: 17 Batch: 6 [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) It absolutley STINKS ---

Yeah, after the second day of use, I think it smells a lot like concentrated groin sweat after a workout. Seriously. Sort of makes sense when you think about it. Now . . . everybody is _sure_ the human musks are synthetic, right? 😃 ---

mine is V17, batch 4. Smells fine to me, no mention of [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) , what ever that is ---

Wait, something ain’t right here. [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) smells like a cologne. I’m pretty indifferent about it, but some love it and some hate it. Even the haters don’t mention that it smells like groin or some other serious funk. They just mention that the smell isn’t something they care to wear. There was an issue with a batch of A314 late last year, so it _might_ (key word here, guys… just keep this in mind) have an issue that needs addressing. I’d give Androtics a call and speak with someone. They may be able to ask the right questions to determine if what you’re smelling is just a rather colorful description of the Akuto fragrance, or if there is indeed something wrong with the batch. Again, this is pure speculation on my part based on the limited info available in your posts, and doesn’t necessarily mean you do have a bad batch. EDIT: On rereading the last few posts, I noticed that K24 has the same one I have. I guess it could just be a matter of perception. One man’s vomit can be another man’s “Eh, it’s okay, I guess. Will probably cover it.” -D4 ---

Well, if it’s not a bad batch (I’m assuming it isn’t), then I can deal with it. Like I said, it stinks at first, but the smell fades quickly enough and it isn’t hard to cover. I’d wear cover anyway, so it’s not really a big deal. Also just had a thought that maybe it’s _supposed_ to smell that way. It doesn’t smell like feet to me, but it’s definitely similar to body odor. But some flower EOs in high concentrations smell a lot like body odor. And then again, maybe it’s just my nose is able to pick up something in the compound that other people can’t. Though I’m not known for having the most sensitive nose, so me being able to smell something someone else can’t would really be a first. HAHA!!! ---

I just received my version 17, batch 6 also. It’s my first purchase of a314. To me it smells like bunghole at first but after a little while I just smell the fragrance. I think the fragrance smells really good. Do they usually fill the bottle only to the top of the red stripe? ---

the bad smell is definitely not due to akuto. i have other products that have akuto as the added fragrance, and they smell fine. when sniffing the A314 contents in the bottle, i just smell the akuto. if i apply a drop to the skin, it still only smells like akuto. as soon as i begin dabbing it to spread it around the rotten cheese smell develops. maybe there is something that reacts to certain skin types that causes the odor since not everyone is complaining of the bad smell. the stench fades after 30-60 minutes, depending on how much is applied. > [@ntr](#): > > Do they usually fill the bottle only to the top of the red stripe? the bottle i received was about 3/4 full. ---

Funny. I used it today and it didn’t smell funky to me at all. Maybe my nose isn’t as sensitive today as it was a couple days ago. Also it warmed up today, so maybe it has something to do with the temperature? Dunno. ---

I have version 17, batch 5 and completely hate the smell. I am thinking about using the money back guarantee for an exchange for one of the MX versions or see if I can get the oil in another or unscented version. ---

Well I have Version 17 Batch **7**. The bottle smells fine if I take a sniff, but as soon as it hits my skin…smells like rancid cheese. I thought this stuff was made from Donald Trump’s sweat or something, not from gorgonzola! Anyway, the smell fades after about 30 mins. Adam ---

I just got a bottle of v.17 batch 7 and when I first put it on it reeks like BUDUSSY with a lite hint of some sweetish almost invisible fragrance. Luckily the reek does dissipate fairly quick but this one I always cover. ---
