You guys are right. I’ve only done what I suggested once. And it was with a guy who was weird, not crazy. It was also a medium term solution. As soon as he broke up with the gf I helped him get (not as a wing woman tho) he started calling me again. Here’s another idea–one I would not have the guts to try. If you are willing to take a hit to your reputation, you could have sex with her but behave in a completely unacceptable manner. Like making loud bellowing gorilla noises the whole time and focusing exclusively on her feet. Or something like that. ---

But no, if it were just my reputaion with her that would be fine, but I’d be afraid that she’d tell every other girl that she saw me with and I’d quickly become known as the sex freak and be ostracized. Mark, mark mark. I’ve been on vac - so I did not see this until today. If you have to ask - it aint happenin. Sorry so blunt. When its right, you dont have to work at it. I have been on here for months asking for advice about a guy. Guess what - he is just not into me. Never was. 10+ years of hard work wasted. Most of the couples i know that are successful just kind of fell together. Hope we all find that soon. You are a way cool dude, maybe too cool for those games. But I still think you should take her out for a spin anyway… 😉 ---

Hey phernoob, hope you had a great vacation! I’m sorry to hear about your target guy, but guess what? Its his loss for not seeing you as someone, and now you can focus your energy on more productive activities and prospects. As for my dilemma, I think you missed something. I don’t want a relationship with her, but I would have been ok with just having sex, if that’s all it was. My concern was that she wouldn’t have seen it as just sex, even though she kept saying that’s all she wanted. It seemed to me that someone that tries as hard as she has either wants more than just sex, or is not all there. Whatever the case, I ain’t gonna find out. 😉 ---

Good thinking Mark. Sometimes it ends up being just wasted energy. BTW - the guy I wasted all that energy over is not a target per se, he is my husband! I think Kitten’s idea is the best! Could you tape it while you are making the gorilla noises? Just post it in the lounge for us all to enjoy…🙄 ---

I knew you were married, and weren’t exactly happy, but I assumed you were trying to fill the void by looking outside the marriage. Not that I condone infedility, but it’s not for me to judge, and I do believe that everybody deserves to be happy, feel wanted and fulfilled. If he’s truly not into you, I’m guessing that you guys are together for the children, and I will say that getting married was a stand up and responsible thing to do. BUT, it’s not fair to you or him, and neither of you can be truly happy. You are way cool too, and I hope that you can either find a way to to feel content in your marriage, or the courage and strength to make a new life for you and your children without him. ---

Thanks for the really sweet reply. It’s a sticky situation. Unfortuantely, I know too many couples that are in the same boat. Maybe its an age thing. Or maybe after 14 years of marriage familiarity breeds contempt. I dont necessarily think in my case that getting married was responsible. We should have waited longer. We both felt pressured to get married because of our ages. Anyway. I am going to do what I came to this site to do. Get some pheromones to help me get a great new job. Change careers, find something I want to do for the next 15 years, and get paid well to do it. Until that happens, I cannot make any other decisions. Also, my kids are 12 & 10, a bad time for major change… Oh and what goes on in ladies restrooms at nightclubs??? Stupid drunk chicks that cant wait for the stall to vacate, so they pee on the floor! Then they spray so much hairspray that nobody can breathe let alone have a pillow fight or male bash. I was a DJ in a nightclub - and I cannot tell you how many times that happened. Gross!
