I got my order today and was very excited! (IShine, IOpen, Ammo, IJerk, TUTH and [Instant Gentleman](https://a314.com/product/gentleman/)(To-Go) as free gift - Thanks Jacob!!)

Day 1:

Package arrived at 10:20 am. I hit the shower and put on:

1 spray of Ammo to front of neck
2 sprays of Instant Openness - one behind each ear
3 sprays of Instant Shine - one on each side of neck, one on left wrist and rub onto right wrist.

Each one had a pleasant citrus scent and each had a very subtle difference in smell. I didn’t get the instant kick or uplift that some people reported about when they spray on Instant Shine but then again a lot of things don’t work on me the same way it does on other people. For example, coffee doesn’t wake me up, laughing gas (nitrous oxide) doesn’t knock me out and countless other weirdness.

10:45am: I head to work. While in my car, every so often I would catch a whiff of the citrus scent which smell very refreshing; not too strong or overbearing.

11:00am: I arrive at work and as I walked upstairs I saw a girl walk down the other corridor toward the same hallway I was headed; she was a little bit closer to the hallway and got there first so since she didn’t catch any of the aura of pheros (maybe I should have walked faster…or ran). There aren’t anyone sitting around the cubes next to mine so there weren’t any immediate test subjects but my cube is pretty close to the break room. Through out the day, I didn’t notice any heavier traffic to the break room than usual.

12:45pm: I head to the mall for lunch. The are lots of people walking around but still I didn’t notice any difference in behavior than usual; no one trying to sniff on me, no one making prolonged eye contact and no one trying to start a conversation for no apparent reason. I sat in the food court for about 30 minutes eating my lunch and keep my eyes open for any hits…nothing.

1:15pm: Walked to the Apple store to see if they have the new iPhones yet. There are lots of people in the store but now one seems to know or care about the pheros emanating from me. Again, no eye contact or attention.

1:25pm: I leave the mall and pass by group of female clerks at the perfume counter at one of the department stores. One of them greeted me with a big smile but that’s not really a true “hit” since that’s not any different than before I had pheros on; those clerks are usually friendly.

I stayed at my cube the rest of the day with a few restroom and water breaks. No more traffic around my cube than usual and no one looking toward my cube than usual.

Conclusion: Need more testing. Day 1 yielded no results, or at least no results that I noticed. The scent lasted the entire day, although less pronounced when I headed home.

Question:

Should I

1. Try the same combo, same dosage?
2. Bump up the dosage of each?
3. Drop down to one product?
And continue testing for a week until I can better form a conclusion.

If age, race and size are big factors (I’m 34, Asian, 5’9", 165lb), I think I need to bump up the dosage to start seeing any effect. Any thoughts?

LOL. Yeah - a couple.

Well you did the phero baptism thing … lol. Now that you have that under your belt try reading the Stupid Newbie Tricks thread in my signature block. It is _the_ primer by Renny on how to get a good start using pheros.

We highly recommend trying one prodcut at a time for at least a week, starting at doses of one spray and then moving up until you start noticing effects. Once you see effects at a “level” you like then you have found your “sweet spot”. Do that with each product. Once you know your sweet spot with each individual product then you are ready to start doing combos.

The other thing to remember is that the effects of these products are often subtle. The pheros send out hints or messages to people to act a certain way. It is still up to you to get them to act on those messages. For example: IO sends out a message of “Let’s Talk”. The message though will often be wasted if you do not initiate the conversation. If you do initiate an appropriate conversation, then they will most likely act on the hint the pheros are giving them as opposed to brushing you off.

What I am saying is that you cannot just sit there and do nothing but watch and expect the world - much less beatiful women - to drop into your lap. The pheros only give out hints - the real work is up to you.

A lot of people do not really get any self-effects.

They only come wandering into the breakroom based on a phero sillage if you have already caught their attention with a combination of your strong social skills backed up by your pheros. You stop by the cubicle of the hot young thing you are intersted in. You have a pleasant conversation that lasts long enough for the pheros to kick in and help you grab her attention. Then later she is walking down the hall past the breakroom. she catches a whiff of your phero sillage. It does not register consciously but it does subconsciously. Her subconscious tells her that ineresting guy Shapeshifter is nearby. Cosciously she does not know why she knows that - she just does. she peeks in the breakroom and there you are. so she walks in and says hello. You have another great conversation. Where you take the conversation is up to you.

The pheros only send out hints. If you sit there, keep to yourself, make no attempt at contact and just “people watch” - then that is all that will happen. I know. I people watch a lot. Things only happen when I am interacting with people.

It sounds like you were not around long enough for the pheros to really register. It may well take 5-10 minutes of exposure for the effects to kick in. Plus you did not initate any real contact. Most women want you to initiate some form of contact. Go to the counter. Ask about trying on some mens stuff. Be funny and interesting. Give the pheros time to kick in.

Same as before. Just sitting there and doing nothing will bring more of the same.

YES! I got the phero baptism out of the way! 🙂

The second day was kinda a dud. There was a really bad storm yesterday in the Dallas area and the aftermath was a lot of broken fences, fallen trees and power outages. I worked half of the day from home and around noon, jumped in the shower to prepare to head to the office.

Day 2: (Chose [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) to experiment with first)

3 sprays of Instant Shine - one to the front of the neck, one to the back of the neck, one on left wrist and rub onto right wrist.

12:45pm: Head to work after phero spray down. The scent wasn’t really as noticeable as it was yesterday with all three products on at the same time. Again, I didn’t feel the uplift that others have reported about.

1:05pm: Got to work but there were no other cars in the parking lot. Dang it! There was a power outage since 6:00am and the office has been closed all day. Oh well, head to the mall for lunch then.

1:15pm: In line at Sonics and no noticeable reactions from anyone. No one was making eye contact, or smiling. The lady at the register seemed a little grumpy and when I came up to order, her reactions didn’t change.

1:45pm: Done eating. The whole time while I was eating, I was looking around to see reactions and find the slightest hint of receptiveness to being approached. Nothing different than usual. So I head home to continue working. No co-workers to test IShine on today.

Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better test day.

Does it matter that I started out with three sprays instead of one? Even with three I still didn’t see any effect. Maybe it’s because of how I applied it. Are there optimal application points? I was just guessing when I sprayed to the front and back of my neck and wrist.

> [@bosshank](#):

That was my expectation all along; I’m all for acting on an invitation. I just need to see those subtle signals, none of which were present in the tests so far.

I never expected for a woman to just drop into my lap after a few sprays. I have always expected that there will still be a lot of effort on my part. What I wanted though was for the pheros to help out with the process, whether it be boosting my confidence to approach or making people more approachable. I want to be able to reproduce the same effects that others have reported on. After all, if the effects aren’t reproducible, then it would be kinda pointless to try pheros at all. Is that too high an expectation? To be able to see the same effects that others have seen?

> [@bosshank](#):
>

I do appreciate the cautionary words of not having too high an expectation but this doesn’t make much sense to me. Instant Shine is supposed to have an uplifting effect, making people (men and women) more happy and sociable around you. If a lot of people don’t get the self-effect, doesn’t that imply that Instant Shine doesn’t work on a lot of people? Because after all, we all would be sniffing the same stuff whether it be worn on ourselves or other people. If it doesn’t work on me, I can pass it off as just me being odd but if it doesn’t effect other people either while they’re wearing it, it would lead me to believe that the product is ineffective. I’m not ready to form that conclusion yet since I have a lot more testing to do.

Does that mean that people who are naturally shy are doomed to failure whether they use pheros or not?

Thanks for all the input. I will continue to test and see where it leads. Should I bump up the dosage since I didn’t see any results with three sprays? I know with the 'none based products that using too much is bad, but I didn’t see anyone say anything bad about using too much IShine; well except that you run out of product faster.

Holy crap! Got hits today. Ok, so I guess I’m not quite done with the pheros baptism. I received my bottle of A314 and I wanted to try it out but also wanted to test the dosage on the other stuff, so it’s a pheros bath for me.

Day 3:

9:15am: Done showering, put on mones and head to work.

2 drops of A314, one on each forearm.
4 sprays of ammo, two sprays on each forearm
4 sprays of shine, two sprays on each forearm
4 sprays of openness, two sprays on each forearm

I went kinda overboard but I was anxious to see results even at the risk of OD. Still no self-effect.

9:35am: Got to work but didn’t bump into anyone while going to my cube. The day was a really busy day, so turned my computer on and started typing away.

10:15am: Out of no where one of guys on the other team heads straight to my cube, greets me and shakes my hand. I’ve bumped into this guy every so often in the office and he does greet me but never started a conversation. Today, not only does he comes directly to my cube and starts a conversation he continues to ask me about my opinions on various computers (as though I’m an expert). This was completely unexpected because although I’m always friendly and courteous to everyone, I’m not often approached for small talk. The only occasions when small talk does happen are usually while chatting with someone on my team about work related stuff. Now, if only the 'mones would start drawing the females over for a chat! 🙂

A few people seemed to linger a lot longer in the break room and having conversations around my general vicinity (although not directly to me). I had lots work to finish up before a meeting so I continued to focus on what I’m doing.

12:50pm: It’s 10 minutes before the meeting and one of guys on my team comes to my cube and tells me he brought snacks for the meeting and that I was welcome to join the conference call in his office. I’m not really sure if this is a hit because I’ve taken conference calls in his office before. However, I do notice a big difference; while the conference call phone was on mute, he would continually bring up stuff that are completely unrelated to work. He kept talking over the person speaking on the phone and I was trying to listen to both conversations. This went on for a couple of hours. This is rather unusual because he is normally on track and paying attention on these calls.

2:30pm: Meeting is over and I head back to my cube with my laptop. I’m not sure if it was a self-effect from the mones, but I felt really self assured. I continue working but notice that the scent from my forearms is nearly gone. I wonder if the pheros are still effective even if the scent is no longer present?

4:30pm: Feeling a bit tired and supposed to go to dinner with some friends at 7:00pm so I head home. Got home about 20 minutes later and took a nap. I don’t notice any scent coming off my forearm.

6:45pm: Woke up from my nap and ready to head out again. Decided to spray on some more product.

1 spray of Instant Jerk onto front of neck
2 sprays of Instant Shine onto front of neck
2 sprays of [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/) onto front of neck

7:05pm: Got a table at Hooters and waited for friends to show up. Cute waitress comes by, gets my drink order and leaves. She doesn’t appear to be effected by the mones but too early to tell. She comes back with my drink and lingers for a while making small talk (maybe the stuff is working on her). My friends arrive and the waitress takes our orders. One of my friends is having some really bad family problems so we were really deep in conversation most of the evening. Our waitress came back pretty frequently to check up on us; a lot more frequently than we’re all used to and constantly interrupting our conversation. That had to be the affect of the mones.

Alright, so the results aren’t the fireworks that others have witnessed but it’s definitely a step in the right direction. I’m assuming the respect of others is the result of the A314 and the sociability effects are from shine, openness and ammo.

I’m puzzled that I had to use so many sprays to get the results. I didn’t see any indications of OD; no headaches, no aggression from males or females, etc. Could it be that my natural signature is really low in pheromones in the first place that it takes a really high dosage to create any kind of reaction? I’ll have to get the stronger versions of the products when I run out. I think I’ll bump up the dosage even more because I don’t think I’ve found my sweet spot yet. I might also drop back down to one product. It’s just so dang hard to resist trying them all.

@shapeshifter

I’m a bit amazed that you directly use so many sprays and products all at once. You’re also a newbie, right?
Usually the advice is to start with 2-3 sprays. Why do you directly start with 4 sprays and then also combine so many products?

This makes me wonder wether my 2 sprays/just 1 product at a time strategy will accomplish anything when others directly jump in with much more sprays and still don’t notice a huge fireworks. 😕

And your IS question is good. If IS often times doesn’t affect the wearer then why should it affect others?

Yes, I’m newbie and have received the same advice as you; go slow and start with one product and one dose. However, as much as I respect and understand the advice, I’m anxious to see results and wanted at least some confirmation that something was indeed happening. I chose to use four sprays because two sprays didn’t seem to be very effective the first two days. In addition, I’ve read quite a few posts where people had said that they didn’t see any results from certain products till they used four sprays. I also read that its harder to OD on ammo, ishine, and iopenness than the heavy 'none based products like TUTH and A314. I was risking OD with the A314 but I wanted to err on the high side and see something; anything, good or bad.

The problem with using so many products all at once is that you don’t know which one is producing a particular effect. I could only guess that the A314 is what produced the “respectable” and “authoratative” vibe (in line with what others have seen) but I don’t really know if the rest of the results were contributed by the other products. Again, though, this wasn’t the object of this particular test, so knowing what product did what didn’t concern me. I just wanted confirmation that I didn’t waste time an money on placebos.

>
> This makes me wonder wether my 2 sprays/just 1 product at a time strategy will accomplish anything when others directly jump in with much more sprays and still don’t notice a huge fireworks.

Please don’t follow my lead because I’m definitely a newbie and bound to make newbie mistakes. The advise you received is sound and you will eventually find your sweet spot. However, if you’re as impatient to see results as I am, and if the product you’re using doesn’t have a high risk of OD,
then try my tactic of starting with a higher dosage and adjusting from there. Again, I must emphasize that I am a newbie, so don’t let my tests throw a monkey wrench into yours. These reports are just to let people see the path I’m taking and if I’m making some horrendous mistake, hopefully someone will step in and say, “Hey stupid, you’re doing that wrong. You should do it like this…”

One other thing, consult the more experienced users if you’re going to try starting with a high dosage. Some products are heavy 'none based and will lead to OD, and could lead to some seriously bad stuff. I read that someone was hit in the back of the head with a bottle for no apparent reason when he had too much 'nones on.

Hi.

I’ll definitely first test single products, which takes longer but I want to do it “right”. But if you’ve found a combo which works then you can also pretty easily find out what exactly does the job for you by simply removing 1 product at a time from the combo and if the effect is suddenly gone then you know that the product you removed is an important one. I think I’d proceed this way in your case.
