Let's take a scentimental journey

Bonding feeling with Shine & banter with cops

Okay, last post for catching up, I promise!

Wore three sprays of Instant Shine to each wrist, covered with Acqua di Gioia. I think I need to make sure I’ve got the right conditions to test this one, like the History classroom on Tuesday. We had a walkthrough/tutorial of sorts in a computer lab this morning. A was sitting to my left and it’s weird to say this but I felt like our bond was stronger - we were on the same wavelength, laughing and having a good time. We say the same thing at the same time often, but it happened more frequently than usual this morning.

Nothing in particular in History today to note; I had it third. Although something did occur to me.. When I was copying down notes on Tuesday and Wednesday, I kept missing words and not paying very much attention to my writing at all while copying down notes. This may not seem like much but usually my writing is pretty accurate and I automatically shorten things as I go, instead of copying word-for-word. And my writing was back to normal today. So was it an indirect side effect from wearing IS, because I was distracted?

P.S. I don’t notice any dizziness or light-headedness any more. I spray in another room while holding my breath, sort of wave my arms around a bit, walk around the house to get the smell off me while I continue rushing around to get ready(a few minutes), and then cover in my bedroom with Acqua di Gioia.

Later that day…
I was debating whether or not to put on cops for study period today, but I went to the bathroom and put on a smidgeon of my EoW-spiked Hearts lotion behind each ear. Once I got to the common room I almost considered taking it off, but I’m kinda glad I didn’t. I wedged myself in between a friend of mine and B, with B to my right, and he was actually being a little flirty/playful! Usually we just talk about future plans, or start discussing science or schoolwork, but today he wrote my name on the desk in front of him with my dry-erase marker, which seemed uncharacteristic to me. At one point he was standing behind my chair and I could feel something hovering on top of my head. When I asked him what he was doing, he said he was “colouring in” my hair. This was the most unusual behaviour he displayed, in my opinion. B is usually more serious, frank, and unenthusiastic/unexpressive in a ‘macho’ way - we make fun of him for that.

I tried to be sneaky and draw a smiley face on B’s arm but only managed to do the eyes, but he let me finish it and suggested I make it nice and add different colours, etc. Later he held up the marker near my cheek and called my name, to try and make a mark, but of course I knew better than to fall for this age-old trick.

He also made a remark that sounded like something he would say while high. He basically said it would be the awesomest thing in the world to have cookies coloured with food colouring. Eh?? :open_mouth: Two of our best friends are near-professional cake decorators so I was speechless that he would find such a simple thing so ~amazing~.

Today was fun though, I liked him being more playful and cute. I’m not really sure how much EoW I’m putting on, and didn’t think I was wearing much - could it be that he was reacting more sensitively because I’ve previously exposed him to the stuff? I get more eye contact and the guys around me seem more interested in my reaction to things. I think it could be nerves, from being self-conscious, but I definitely am chattier and gigglier when I wear my Hearts/Cops lotion. I also tend to walk more boldly/briskly, although I half do it on purpose.

Downsides - I feel gross, and I’m super tired. I crashed on my bed for a few hours as soon as I got home today, totally unplanned. I’m not sure if it’s from spending energy on being self-conscious, or an olfactory overload or something like that, but I feel groggy and tired, and smelling the EoW stink of my skin after waking up isn’t so pleasant either.

Oh my, my EoW reports must be very boring to read, sorry everyone. :stuck_out_tongue:
But I’m still a little incredulous that they might have an effect for me, I guess! I’ve believed in the legitimacy of pheromones from the get-go but it’s taking longer for me to really believe it in my own life. :o

Just a few quick things I wanted to note from today’s phero usage. I did three sprays of Instant Shine to each wrist before covering as usual, as I was running out the door - I was volunteering for a charity fundraiser with some friends this afternoon. My friend was super hyper and happy and silly today - she was in a good mood even before I arrived and is usually known as the silly one, but yes, I felt more ‘in tune’ with her, as I had felt with A in the entry above. I got lots of hugs from her, even though I can’t pinpoint this on the Shine for sure. This was from the first 20 minutes or so after I arrived to meet up with everyone.

No specific hits to mention for the fundraiser part - what I can say is that IS definitely ‘warms’ me up for social settings! My smiles come so much more naturally with Shine, and they’re bigger, too! This will definitely come in useful when I need to introduce myself to important guests and come across as kind and genuine (I already think I am a friendly warm person but sometimes I worry it doesn’t come off as truly genuine as I feel).

Also I think Shine would be great for people who get told their default expression is sullen, too serious, or a downright ‘death glare.’ It should soften their facial muscles right up!
