> What a gorgeous name she has! I think it’s human nature to want the object of your affections to love you in return. Unrequited love sucks.

Ya, it really sucks, AKmedic! The girl told me that her ex-bf used to beat her up and at one time kicked her stomach and face repeatedly till she passed out! I remember a Kuwaiti nurse once said, “I’ve an awkward feeling…I live among people who have two eyes but could not see, and beating hearts but could not feel!”. But, suprisingly, she loves the ‘ass hxxx’ dearly! If I were to lived in the “Wild Wild West” era, I definitely have shot that jerk with a “Gatling Gun”!

Last year, she tried to commit suicide twice when her bf dumped her after being told that she was made pregnant by him! I found her lying on the floor unconscious…me and my other friend, Nadia, took her to the hospital. I took leave from work and “camped” in the hospital 3 days and 3 nights till the Security Guards came and asked me to leave. When she was discharged, her landlord locked her room bcoz her rental is due and she was broke, so I brought her home and she stayed with me for a month till she was fully recovered. She started work as a waitress in Pizza Hut and recently, she came and stayed in my house for 20 days and left. Haven’t seen her since then, but once a while she contacts me…I guess, there’s a fine line between love and craziness…

Have a nice day, AKmedic. May God bless you with all the happiness in this world and hereafter.

Mohammad ☹

I am so sorry to hear that. It sounds like you really care about her and only wish the best for her. It is very hard to stand back and let people make their own mistakes, especially when she is being taken advantage of by her boyfriend.

I was talking with some of our domestic violence advocates, and usually a victim of domestic violence needs time to heal and figure out her own identity before becoming involved in another relationship. It sounds like you’ve done everything you can to give her options to get to safety. She is lucky to have people like you an Nadia in her life – it sounds like you guys saved her life.

It is such a complicated topic. A lot of times people don’t understand why a victim of violence will continue to stay with the man who abuses her. Nobody can force her to leave the abuser. For your own sanity…it sounds like you’ve been brave and done all you can to support her. Are there domestic violence shelters where you live? I wish that she would accept help, because it sounds like watching her suffer is tearing you apart. ☹

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. (1 cor 13:4-8)

> Intersetinng Mohammad. Wow I learned something new today lol. I always assumed you were arabic…I guess that was rather ignorant of me. But ah, no ones perfect.

Sorry for the confusion.:o Ya, no ones perfect, but one has the option to choose to improve as Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) once said, “Seek knowledge, even if you have to go as far as China”.
(Note: China was mentioned by The Holy Prophet bcoz it was far then, scholars travelled on foot and Chinese was known for their vast knowledge in Astronomy, Sea Exploration, Medicine and the inventions of the gun powder, compass and seismograph.)

Damn! I’m off topic again!

The problem with these girls are, they do not want to be placed in shelters. They prefer to roam the streets like the Arab Nomads!😃 Nadia and Nor are former runaways and abandoned by their families. Actually, most of my friends are abandoned, abused and raped girls and ex-prostitutes and etc. Whenever I come across these kind of girls, I usually bring them home, provide them food, shelter and clothing. They will stay with me for a period of time, once they recovered, they leave but they usually come back. I used to find suitable jobs for them to make them “stand back on their feet” again. I lived and surrounded with these kind of people and had been doing this for the past 20 years. The reason I do this (on my free time) is to prevent them from getting raped or killed on the streets. But of course I can’t ‘save’ all of them, but at least when my “time is up”, I can say, “Thank God, I’ve done my duty”…🙂

Thanks AKmedic! As a Firefighter, I sure envy your courage!😛 🙂

Gem, Yes you will. I have been there a couple of times myself, twice married, twice divorced, both cheated and left me for other guys. Both times I committed for life.

I still love both of them, BUT, I’m not in love with them anymore!
Your heart WILL eventually heal, and you’ll find somebody else to give your heart to. Your WHOLE heart.

Point being made is that I believe love is forever. But, people can fall in and out OF love with each other

And one final posting here and I’m out:

Mohammad, you are truly a king among men. I am a firm believer in Kharma, and have seen it at work many a time.

You have rewards beyond your wildest dreams coming due.

Thanks for your kind remark. Our University Technology Malaysia used to have a former moto written in Malay language at the entrance which reads “UNTUK TUHAN DAN MANUSIA”, which means “For God and Human Being”. I guess that’s the real reason why we were created on this planet.🙂

Have a nice day, Mark. May God bless you always.

well i suppose i might as well chime in on this on too:

i found this somewhere one day and for some reason truly believe it to be so.

“today i began to understand what love might be if it exists, that when we are apart, each can feel the emptiness of the other half of him/herself, we are incomplete like a book with two chapters and the first to be lost. this is what i believe love to be, incomplete in absence.”

well i suppose I’m just an old romantic what can i say, all i know is that this touched me then and still does now.
