I want to make some 5ml TO-GO bottles of A314 because I like the instant impact of the spray version more than the more delicate feel of the oil version in certain situations such as short job interviews. Anyway, I placed an order for 30 ml bottle with Perfumer’s Alcohol with 6% [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) and 5 ml empty TO-GO bottles and they should be here this week, and I just want to make sure my chemistry is right:

There’s **6,667** mcg of pheros in **10 ml** of A314 oil so that means **666 mcg/ml**. In a **5ml** TO-GO bottle of A314b, the potency of each spray is equivalent to that of each drop of oil at **23.8 mcg**. With **40 sprays/5ml** that would mean there’s **0.125 ml** in each spray. **23.8 mcg** per **0.125 ml** means there’s a concentration of\*\* 190.4mcg/ml\*\* in the A314b spray.

===\> **666/190.4** = 3.49 folds dilution.
That would mean **1.43 ml** of A314 oil and fill till **5ml** mark with Perfumer’s Alcohol.

I think I got everything right, but just need to check unless I made some small mistake I can’t notice. This is a very delicate mix after all. I have access to a lab so precise measurements won’t be a problem.

Thanks Joe! A314 oil is starting to grow on me now after I made all the orders lol. I’m beginning to see its advantages and how subtle is actually more powerful. I still need the spray version though.

Yeah, since winter is coming, it’s going to be hard getting much with the oil, unless you are indoors for a long period of time, spray is the smart choice for instant reactions.

What I usually do is apply the oil on my wrists and then tap my neck with my wrists a few times lightly. Then, I spray my favorite cologne on application points right after. My cologne has great silage and lasts a very long time(12 to 13 hours easily). It forces the a314 oil to work faster and overtime if you catch my drift.

Mobocaster has dilluted A314 Oil Rev 31 .. i think it worked for him

consider that A314 B is not as concentrated as [A314 spray](https://a314.com/product/a314-classic-spray/) version A .. with version B with one spray you should have the same impact as with one drop of the oil version ..

this is related to scent package and to carrier ( alc + dpg )

do not expect that it will work like the spray versions ..

for me the spray version B is way more attraction driven than the oil .

the spray version A is way more dominant than the oil ..

both spray versions do not work well together .. out of whatever reason ..

dilluting the Oil will create something that will work .. but i’m curious what kind of effects it will make

cheers,

**Pago**

I wouldn’t bother TBH.you’ll mess up the ratio, potency and dosage.just buy the b spray version apply and go..or just simply spray your regular cologne on top of A314 oil.with the alcohol combined,it diffuse faster and harder

It’s not possible to change the ratios or the potency of each phero. That doesn’t make any sense. It’s the concentration of each phero that will change when diluted, but their respective ratios found in the oil will remain constant. Meaning instead of using 0.036 ml (one drop) of pure oil, I will be using 0.125 ml of oil and alcohol mix but with the same exact potency/ratio of each specific [pheromone](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/). It’s spraying over the oil that will make diffusion go erratic IMO, because you’d end using too much alcohol (+ countless other substances) for one single drop.

Pago, I will share the results with you guys once the deed is done 😉.

To me, diluted oil, 314 spray B and 314 oil are three different creatures. Look at the boiling points for DPG, an isomeric mixture, and pure perf. alc. If you want 314 spray, I suggest getting the spray. Diluted 314 may disappoint.

Tree: The chemical and physics properties of the isomers of DPG and of the ethanol molecules are not the same. 314 spray is formulated from crystal mones into alcohol. DPG is the fixative. For 314 oil, DPG is the solvent for the crystals. Common sense doesn’t work here.

Bottom line: Diluted 314 oil does not equal 314 B spray. It equals none of the above. It is harsher, rougher and off putting. Hard/Jerky self effects. If you notice, they stock a winter and summer 314 oil. Ask about it. Ask if they have the thinner DPG oil in stock.

Yes, Diluted A314 oil is a bit different to the sprays - but it is still perfectly usable in the usual way. Harsher, harder-hitting and shorter acting yes but often that more unsubtle nature is exactly what you want from sprays.

TBH, I did it more to see what I could get out of Rev31 oil and it performed very creditably for that but I wouldn’t want to dilute a good Rev in the same way.

Replying to subscribe. Curious about the results you’ll get, as I love both the oil and the spray (B version).

Never did the math, kudos for that. No wonder A314 can get intimidating fast with almost 25 mcg mones per spray/drop.

I will only dilute enough to make one spray bottle. Hard hitting is really what I’m looking for in situations where the oil is too subtle and delicate, so maybe it will work out fine for me…but then again, maybe not. That’s why right now I can’t wait to try it out hahaha.

Right. Only a few mcgs. When I say I really, really don’t get why it is even necessary to use 300 mcg per spray in a phero product, I mean I really don’t get it. The poll shows only a tiny minority find A314 “weak” or unworthy. In order for the 300 mcg product to be right, every other company–not just Androtics–has to be wrong. More likely the reverse is true. _I never hear bad things about LAL and don’t buy that his products are “weaker” than competition._

Quick question I didn’t know there were two forms of the A314 oil when I looked for it on the site. Is this something you have to call in for. I will be in an area that will be very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer. Would you recommend going the route of investing in both.

Not really - All pheros, spray or oil slow down to the point of ineffectiveness as it gets colder and by the time it approaches freezing, there will be so little diffusion off your skin its not worth using them outdoors. The difference in temp where they lose effectiveness isn’t that much either - About 6/7C for oils and 3/4C for sprays.

Summer heat is a different matter though and the oils far outclass the sprays for longevity and diffusion, so maybe let that be your guide.

Concentrate on what you can do with pheros in warmer/indoor place instead.

Do you remember the context when JS announced that? I’m not convinced that his claim was anything more than thrashing-about/obfuscating during the Rev31 debacle?
