After Reading this post a few days ago, it has stuck with me. When I first read it I was like WOW! That SteveO is one insightful MF! Possibly literally and figuratively 🙂 It has cropped up in my head several times since. My subconscious is telling me something. So I want to write until it comes out. If it seems decent I will post it.

> You should always attempt to have a positive impact, but in some situations you just can’t help yourself. My philosophy is to always leave every encounter with more value than when I arrived. [A314](https://a314.com/product/a314-classic/) plays a HUGE part of that. So as to not discredit Butcher at all, but I think you can always have a WOW impact. I do mean always too.

> Don’t pay too much credence into any pheromone though more than you do yourself. They are a small part of a dynamic, but the biggest element is the human element. You can seriously have that way about you that every single time you speak to someone they will be impressed.

I too, get self effects form A314. I have been wearing it for close to a year now. While they are not the same, the effects are still very impactful every time I wear the stuff!.

Now Steve goes on to say that he is “freaking AWESOME”, I tend to agree with that statement, but that is not the real gem of his post.

**HAVE AN IMPACT ON EVERYONE YOU MEET.**

What words of wisdom! Really? Really Really.

I have been taking a look at my life, and the interactions that consist in it. I have noticed, that in many situations, I leave an impact. I am not good at doing it, but people ask about me, and many people know of me that I do not even know. Like I said though, I want to improve my skills. I am not a natural. Imagine how much potential you would have by just improving in this 1 area. Then adding [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) on top of that!!! You could become legendary! Who does not want that? I want it!!!

One thing I have always done, is when I interact with someone, I look into their eyes. Not at, but into. I want to read them. I notice that many people “feel” this and most particularly do not like it. they look away to break the contact. Many men are like this. Most women are the same as well. I also smile a natural smile as I am doing it. A friendly BIG smile. I do not want to come off as aggressive. Naturally I say HI, no matter what their response it. Usually women will make eye contact again at this point. Very few men will reconnect the eye contact, but they will respond back with a greeting, if they have not already said something in advance.

What I want to do is increase my impact. I want everyone thinking of me after I leave the room. Not particularly in a sexual manner either. More for business purposes or social purposes. Small talk does not seem to leave an impression. People make small talk to their fucking cat or dog at home!

What can we do to impact everyone that we meet?

I would like to have a discussion that will not just help me, but possibly others that read this thread.

Wonderful topic, Personally I’ve downloaded a pdf file from the Random Acts of Kindness website that lists 100 acts of kindness. Part of my new years resolution was to go through the list be years end…so far it’s been going well.

On a more personal and professional level, I own several books by John C. Maxwell including the Maxwell Daily Reader. Since the main thrust of the topic is A314, a leadership oriented product. The Daily Reader gives different tasks for each day of a year to sharpen and hone ones leadership skills in and out of the workplace. Since you can’t lead alone, following the tasks and advice given impacts others as much as it improves yourself.

Thank you for the response RADMAN! 🙂

I will check out John C Maxwell… see what he has to tell me!

I am not only looking at only Business. I am talking about making an impact on ANYONE you meet. Even if its a random person in the street.

Example from my life: There is a Mexican gentleman, who empties the trash at my workplace. He speaks only minor english. Every day I see him, I greet him with a hugh smile. I also thank him. I swear he is the happiest trash person I have see working here. In return if we see each other in the hall he makes a point to come over to me and smile back and say hi. We make each others day, from something small. He will remember me for a long time, even though we can hardly communicate.
