I have been wondering lately whether it is advantageous to mask the natural scent of the pheros I apply or not.

I’m sure you all have noticed that after the initial smell of the sprays (it smells similar to cologne usually depending on the line) goes away after an hour or so, and your skin still has a very pleasant, almost feminine smell. I like the smell (obviously I guess as otherwise these wouldn’t work) but I wonder if girls can actually actively smell it and sense that it is different than, say, an average cologne?

Do you guys think it is a good idea to use a normal over the counter cologne in tandem with these products (is it more “subtle”?) or to just use the products themselves? Or maybe switch it up different nights? Would switching the scents on certain nights with the same group of people change their perception of you, or do the pheros work regardless?

I say this because the other night my friend was wearing a large amount of marco polo cologne (and by large i mean he sprayed it like 5 times on himself). It was very smelly to the point I smelled like him just frm the proximity. It may have all been in my head, but I did not notice as much of the effects of pheros until a litte later on, when the cologne had started to dissipate.

Thoughts?

Well, I think that the neroli scent in, say, TUTH, performs an additional function to masking the -none, it provides a kind of safeguard against guys spraying on too much and ODing on -none: even if they cannot smell the -none (something like 33% of people can’t or something) they will certainly smell the neroli and know they are going too far.

But then if you want to, say, spray on lots of [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/), which is not really the sort of thing that you can OD on - and indeed many find that they like to spray 5 sprays or more - then you’re spraying a lot of neroli too for my taste, especially with the regular strength. You can get stronger consumer products (more phero to cover scent ratio), unscented versions of consumer products (I didn’t even spot this option till recently) or experimones. The last two you can mix/cover with whatever scent you like, in whatever strength you like. Many like to have some sort of cover scent whether Androtics-provided or their own, because it helps diffusion of the actual pheromones.

The commercial Androtics prodcts come with added cover scents and do not need a cologne cover.

That said, I enjoy experimenting with smells and often use an additional cover, either commercial or of my own devising. It’s not against the rules and there are lots of interesting moods to explore.
