I recently bought a few items (Female Magic, Turn up the heat, …) and got them unscented (wasn’t fond of the scent and didn’t know about how Niroli smelled.) come to find out that unscented, from what I’ve read, isn’t very good for longevity or dispersion of the [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/). I’ve noticed a difference in the effectiveness myself actually. I was wondering if it is possible to get something like the Niroli scent, or that specifically, to add to the unscented items for the improved effectiveness of these items. I definately don’t want to feel like I made an expensive mistake, though I did. And I don’t know about the composition of any of the colognes I use well enough to know if they would perform the function of the niroli or equivalent at all. If anyone knows anything about this, or what to get/mix, or anything, it would be a great help. 😕
Thanks in advance!

Well, you really couldn’t mix your products with anything you got without affecting their concentration and effectiveness. What you COULD do is go by [Basenotes.com](http://Basenotes.com) and check out their fragrance directory. Most likely someone or several people will comment on each fragrance’s sillage and dispersion. Then you’ll know which are better for covering those phero’s and which are better for wearing when you’re going phero free for that day.

You can buy 30ml bottles filled with Perfumer’s Alcohol and the light neroli scent from the store, in the “mixing supplies” section.

#1) You can add this to your unscented items to give them the dispersion qualities of neroli. The only thing is, you’ll be decreasing your dosage per spray by whatever dilution factor and will have to account for that. For example, if your unscented phero is at 10mcg per spray, and you add 1ml of it to 1ml of the neroli scented PA, then your dosage is now 5mcg per spray and you will need two sprays to equal one of the unscented.

#2) Another thing you can do, which I have found to be equally effective, is to spray the neroli-scented PA on you _first,_ then spray your unscented pheros on top of it. The underlying neroli will aid in diffusion just as well as if it were incorporated in the phero itself, and you’re not altering the original product.

What colognes do you own?

If your colognes have good diffusion and sillage then what you would do is spray your pheros on first then layer your colognes after

Only need to spray cologne once on each application point to get the diffusion

Oh, and if you find you don’t want that IFM because it’s scentless, i’d be pleased as punch to take it off your hands… we could either swap phero’s, or i could reimburse you for your troubles. 😉 Just an idea. 🆒

I always thought that the unscented should go on first, and then the cologne/perfume/neroli. Does it even matter what goes on first?

It’s been my habit to spray the neroli first, then the unscented phero, then to put my cover scent on top (usually Pink Sugar). This is kind of my own personal voodoo and it probably doesn’t matter one way or the other.

does dipropylene glycol have better/worse/different sillage/dispersion characteristics than the neroli scent or PA/neroli combo? Or is it just a different means to the same end of effectiveness?

Hm, interesting. So you have a bottle filled with pure PA and just neroli to use for your unscented products? Damn, if so that’s a good idea. You can use it to add “boost” to [unscented pheromones](https://a314.com/product-category/stealth-unfragranced/) as you said using it as an underlying diffuser for the unscented pheromones that will then go on top of that, but then add your own fragrance on top of those two! NICE! That sounds to me like a good idea for maximum diffusion.

Thanks ariadne.

DPG will slow the diffusion. It will make the pheros last longer, but the initial punch will not be as great.

I never really had trouble with diffusion of the unscented pheros because I always paired them with a high sillage cover scent or other scented pheros, but I have found that the neroli/unscented phero/cover scent combo really amped up the effects. The neroli really is second to none as far as spreading your signature around.

You’re welcome!

IFM does not come scented to begin with and will not ever be scented. It’s against the patent holders restrictions.

You should do what Gone with the Wind suggested and call 🙂

So us brits spend billions preparing for the next olympics and a few months later, it’s game over! Has anyone told Parliament, we should save the money and spend it on a party 😃 100 metres sprint, pah, 100 beers marathon sounds much more fun.

Wait…so does that mean Androtics will be restocking IFM as long as it is unscented? Was it ever scented?

Now that it’s gone, I want it even more lol
