“System.InvalidCastException: Conversion from string “5.0” to type ‘Single’ is not valid. —\> System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.”

the reason you are getting this is because the computer is expecting a “single” value- that is, a non-decimal value.

try a non-decimal number, eg. 1, 564, 12, ect. and see if you get the error. i think nbully meant to parse the string into a double (decimal compliant numbering system) but put single instead? You should be able to use it using whole numbers until nbully gets back to you

I think this 5.0 comes from the def. parameter in Output Seize (ml)

But this is the field i left alone 🙂

**UPDATE on the situation**

i got it working..

![](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex016/uploads/pheromonetalk/original/2X/7/7ba0a18018c05277126244e7f155a3248761a99e.gif)
Its strange but when i open the calculator
it states the fallowing numbers as defaults:

 ![](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex016/uploads/pheromonetalk/original/2X/3/36f011ef230f17334471cd97a8cb7bdaa61d5284.jpeg)
and this is where the problem begins.
If i change 0.125 to 0,125 then .. it works ! 🙂
but if i assume that the default parameters should be correct .. i get this error 😃

then… why its displaying 0.125 as default 🙂

I had a suspicion it could be the comma use in some parts of the world for decimal. The default is ofcourse preset by me based on the US system.

Idle, do you need to enter all decimal numbers with comma instead of period to make it work?

The VB libraries may be reading the Regional Settings. That means use a comma in EU and a decimal in US.

Why does the mixing by mL option not calculate for .01 accuracy? only to .1mL

Is it possible to get a version where the calculations are visable to that accuracy to mixing ability?

Hey djandarial, you can change the rounding to 2 to increase the accuracy to 2 digits.

Oh well, if the mix I made works and good I will check it again, take accuracy from 8% to 1%

Thanks bro

> I was really frustrated with the old mix calculator ([Mix calculator 3.0: software for calculations to create your own mixes](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/mix-calculator-3-0-software-for-calculations-to-create-your-own-mixes/12792)) as many users could not install it because of MS office incompatibilities. So I completely revamped the software. The new Mix calculator does not use office Excel and has a new input method which is even easier to use.
