I have a more technical question based on pure interest.

Are the different phero products mixes of different [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) or are they entirely different molecular structures? Different structures of -none, -nol, etc?

Ex. Is AMMO and TUTH basically a -none mix but diluted with different pheros?

Just curious.

Ammo is a mix of 3 different [pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/) molocules. One of those being anone.

Tuth is one pheromone molocule anone. The difference between the straight chemset and tuth is that its balanced with the carrier and scent and dosed.

Thanks for the response everyone. What about putatives? Are those also similarly structured to -none, -nol ?

What strikes me looking at the chemical formulas that Mohammad has posted (thanks for this, unfortunately I can’t rep you at the moment) is the chemical similarity between all four molecules. They all share the same basic structure (I’ve had to learn the names of them during my biology studies at university, but of course I’ve totally forgotten what these rings are called ☹). Now this poses the question: Are all pheromones build on this structure (including all the putatives that provide a clear effect)?

I guess that’s a question that only the Androtics staff can answer, but probably won’t… 😉

Edit: Found the structure of rone, too - and to no surprise it looks similar to the other four!

The funny thing is that androstadienone looks very much like testosterone except for the exchange of a ketone or =O group with a double bond, as does androstenone looks very much like DHT (the supposed, active metabolite of testosterone) and androstenol looks very much like a purported neurosteroid androstenediol but is only weakly androgenic compared to T/DHT. The purported neurosteroid as well as the pheromone itself, is said to modulate the GABA, NMDA and/or sigma opiod receptors in the brain. Just a little interesting idea for those chemists out there…

Anyway, Id just like to note this is interesting and it would be great if Jasmin or one of the Androtics staff could comment on if the putatives are like androstenone, etc… Thanks…

On this topic, I wonder if anyone knows if the different mixes (ammo, a314 etc.) are a chemical combination of different pheromones or a physical mixture ?

I believe, but can’t say for sure, that the T series molecules have proven themselves as pheros, but that Androstics doesn’t want to announce their actual chemical names because the son’t want other companies stealing and benefiting from the research and testing that we’ve all put so much effort into.

SteveO could probably answer that question with authority though.

Androstadienone is the most common naturally occurring pheromone on male skin. With a little time, heat and bacterial action, it breaks down to alpha androstenol which, in turn, becomes androstenone. I recall reading one of JKV’s articles claiming this can happen in as little as 20 minutes under the right conditions. So the the chemical similarity makes for easy morphing.

I image a good lab and biochemist could analyze the product and discover the chemical nature easily enough. Not listing the components merely keeps hacks and amateurs from trying to recreate their goodies.

I’m sure you’re right, but I suspect that most of the “pheromone companies” out there don’t have their own labs and biochemists, and are only in it for a quick buck.

I’m no expert in chemistry, but I think for practical purposes we treat them as physical mixtures. If there were any sort of complex reaction going on there would be a lot more problems combining different sprays on our skin. Of course our skin immediately starts changing the chemicals which is one reason we each have different reactions.

The mainline stuff is a combination of different pheromones, such as Ammo is Androstenone combined with 3 other pheromones, about 2.5mcg of the -none and 2.5mcg of buffers, etc… Most of the main stuff is explained in previous posts as to what they contain… I beleive the experimone stuff is as is explained, but the putatives/mx are secret unfortionately…

Ah right, thanks for clearing that. I was a bit confused why most pheromones have chemical names where as TAA didn’t.
