I am thinking about trying something new (to me): getting an unscented phero and spritzing in a few sprays of perfume.

I actually did this with a togo bottle of a p93 spray today, and the perfume smell is coming in nicely.

My question is to anyone who’s had results with doing something similar is what would be the difference between using an already scented product and doing what I am doing? I am still mixing with a diffuser pre-application, which is important, but this way, I can control the final scent vs. having multi sprays of neroli and then trying to cover it up with something else.

Also, when mixed with a super-diffusive and/or high staying-power fragrance, wouldn’t this only AID in effectiveness of the pheros?

I don’t see any reason why this wouldn’t work. You’re right that a diffusive/persistent fragrance will enhance the pheromone effect.

Just keep in mind that the perfume you’re adding in (unless it’s fragrance concentrate without added diluents) is already diluted with alcohol so your end product will be more diluted pheromone-wise than a manufacturer-scented [pheromone product](https://a314.com/shop/).

When I add fragrance to a bottle of pheromones, I add a concentrate (so-called “perfume oil” - but it’s not really a “fixed oil” base, but in DPG or IPM usually) like the oils from Madini, Love Potion, etc … or my own blend of raw materials.

I have done precisely the same thing with unscented products, and had excellent results. If I apply the mones and then spray perfume on top, I make sure that the pheros are still wet when I do so, so that the scent can almost “bond” with the mones.

Also, make sure that you are not adding an oil based fragrance over top of an alcohol based mone, or you will slow diffusion.

I have also taken an unscented product (such as the experimones or ISexi unscented), and added a little bit of a fragrance oil to it, and shook well before spraying. The alcohol based spray helps dissolve the fragrance oil and make it more diffusive.

I’ve used unscented mixes with a cover cologne and had good results. I like being able to customise my scent.

However, reading the shopping site, apparently considerable effort has been expended on finding and incorporating scented “enhancers” into the products. Normal perfumes also contain such enhancers, but you’re taking your chances on how well the enhancement effect of the components in the perfume you choose works with the [pheromones](https://a314.com/).

Most of the “experimone” products can be purchased without scent, which is usually what I get when I have the option.

Yeah, me too…I had originally purchased some in the neroli, but I started buying the unscented to replenish my stock…
