Hey guys, I’m trying out for a student group, and essentially we have to present in front of a group of about 25 of our older peers as to why we should be a student leader. The group is mostly male, with a few girls mixed in. The night before, we have a pub night to meet and greet these same committee members. These guys are THE LEADERS of the student leaders. I’m trying out with two other guys, and planning on them using the same 'mones that i’m going to wear. (or not, if you can give me a good reason why) Of the three of us, i’m the most alpha. What would you advise I mix to appeal to these alpha personalities? I also have to show that I know how to have fun, and am outgoing. Right now I was thinking of A314 + IS. Something with self effects for us three would also be good, as it’s very intimidating presenting to a group of ultra-alpha people. Thanks! ---

Ooo interesting question/situation. An Alpha trying to influence a group of Alpha’s. How old are you? Reason I ask, is that younger males ( with the exception of Asian’s apparently) carry a fair whack of none themselves, so the general advice is to temper that with socials. What are your findings with A314 so far and have you mixed it with IS, and if so with what results? For what it’s worth, depending on your answers to the above, I’d be aiming for a mix of something like IS, IH and IO with a ramp of A314, depending on your age/ethnicity etc. Maybe go prepped with all bar IH and at break once the ice has been broken or you get the opportunity, add in some IH. Do you feel confident/a little daunted/experienced in these forums? All these will influene you & your signature… 🙂 ---

All these will influene you & your signature… 🙂 I’m 21/white, the committee is between 22-25 i’d say on average. My friends are 20/asian and 20/white I don’t use mones on a regular basis, only when i’m going out or situations like this. I’m a little daunted and my asian friend is outright scared to the point of not wanting to come. Hopefully we can find a mix to help, and I can convince him to go. ---

Know your $hit. In and out. That’s the only way to get a group of alphas to respect you. Master the art of BS 😃 then use a314 and IS. ---

I am tempted to suggest A314/IJ and a big helping of “I don’t give a shit” attitude. 😃 But in reality A314/IH and/or IS is probably the best choice ---

Just a report back, the A314 and IS seemed to do the trick. At the pub night before I was confident, and I wasn’t too nervous at my tryout. I’ll know if I made it, next week.
