Looks like I might finally be able to get that bottle of spaceland I’ve been craving for ages.

This is a confusing mix, so none of the vets should feel bad. It’s confusing for me, too!

Btw, publishing isn’t a longshot with this one.

This mix is in our new, remotely accessible format file, so I don’t have to depend on anyone else to access it and decode it into a format you guys can use. I also already have permission to publish it. The two major chokepoints to publishing don’t exist with MX292, so I can pretty much publish it whenever you guys want it.

I say let the guesses continue for a little while.

I’m still trying to figure out what triggers the male camaraderie. And there are certain empathy/bonding characteristics that are very interesting as well. Short exposures don’t seem to drastically alter people, but a long enough exposure really leaves a lasting impression that builds up over time (especially over multiple nights).
And lastly, while the mix experiences some minor drift over the hours, it stills seems rather consistent. Like a good cologne, it starts strong and continues to bloom.

Yes, unless I’m absolutely batty and am under road hypnosis, it has both androstenone and p86. What it doesn’t have is much of anything normally considered social, especially to the extent guessed by many.

P86 was really interesting to me in that it was one of the first putatives that I tried, and it’s effects totally flew past me the first time around. Goes to show that it takes alot of work to know what to look for. But going back to it, I’ve realized it adds powerful finishing touch to a mix. It’s effects seems totally isolated to visual perception (on me), and it doesn’t really seem to alter my mood or personality drastically, so it’s like a final buff of sheen.

Yeah, maybe the mix stumbles upon the secret to making -none more “usable” or “useful”. Of course, maybe the designer knew this all along. He’s a bit mum about the mix, since he generally doesn’t like to steer perceptions, but I know he’s not a big -none guy. More into “safe danger”. He wears a parachute when he jumps out of a plane.

I say that’s a brilliant path to follow. One of my biggest gripes with -none mixes are the out of control vibes I get out of some of them. Any chance of getting the designer active on the board again?
