Hi Everybody,

Must we shake the bottle before applying the product?
Can I assume ‘no need’ as no instruction is given…

The A314 oil, yes. Spray bottles, no need. Well, that’s what I assumed, and I get consistent results from top to bottom of the bottle.

I doubt it - Phero molecules are small enough to be kept well distributed by molecular motion in both alcohol and oil.

I just found that in my first bottle of A314, the oil got a lot thicker towards the end of the bottle. It was much more runny when it was full. I was shaking the next bottles before application, and the consistency has been much more, well, consistent since then. I don’t know whether the amount of [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) per drop was affected, but at the very least it keeps the application more controllable.

Yes for oil

No for alcohol

Agreed. Shake a314. Hell I shake sprays as well. just not as vigorously

depends on the structure of the molecule if the keep well diluted in the medium or if the separate to a heterogenic solution (unmix). think of putting oil and water together and think of putting alcohol and water together.

Well the molecules in question are pheromones so the answer remains the same

Yes for oil , no for alcohol.

Yes sure but I don’t know about the chemical structure of the pheremones and the amount of OH groups which are mainly responsible for the solutionability but in general I would completely agree as it is very likely that these have OH groups and sweat usually is not oil based so they are very likely to be hydrophilic.
