I applied 2 sprays of MX204 (12.5mcg of [TAK](https://pheromonelabs.com/) in Neroli) a couple of days ago by itself to test, and within 5-10 minutes I was soooo sleepy, not in a pleasant way … leaden, almost like it was hard to breathe, kind of an underwater feeling of pressure on the lungs, you know? I had to lie down and go to sleep for a couple of hours. Heavy sleep in the middle of the day - I haven’t done that in nearly a year.

I tried 2 sprays again this afternoon and wham, same kind of altered state, like a sleeping pill, heavy and dull. It lasted for 1-2 hours, then passed off. I intentionally stayed awake this time, though the temptation to sleep was strong. Others have talked about its nice laid-back calming effects and it made Ilsa into a songbird, but I don’t think I’ll ever wear this again unless I can’t get to sleep.

anyone else have experiences to report with TAK or MX204?

I had read in an earlier thread that TAK caused singsong-y happiness. This doesn’t seem congruent with heavy sleep, so now I’m curious…

I too have issues with insomnia. Hm, looks like I’m picking up a bottle of this stuff. 🙂

I have similar experiences with (in order of effect strength)

IH
IO
IS

IH is by far the strongest though.

I figured I was burning through some neurotransmitter or other. A little nap refreshes me.

I tried the MX204 when I ran out of everything else as a power mix. I sure didn’t feel very powerful. More like leaden and heavy and blaah. I thought it was just me and it wasn’t doing anything. However, I will try before bed if it helps sleep!

Yeah. I am a boy and not sure how much that affects the impact of TAK, but… it’s an invaluable sleeping aid for me. 25mcg and I calm down, no more racing thoughts and soon asleep. More effective than Rivotril and no grogginess the next day.

I wonder how you think your autonomic nervous system is balancewise? I’m pretty sure my sympathetic arm is permanently overly activated so tilting that a little towards the parasympathetic side always makes me feel better - whether that is via massage, Feldenkrais or sex. I’m wondering if perhaps you could have the opposite bias but that’s pure speculation.

Ever been worried half to death about something and have the moment pass without event. I sometimes feel like singing when that happens and I am wondering if that is the mechanism by which TAK both reduces anxiety and promotes sleep. Tacitus suggests it is an NMDA agonist (I think that is the right way round) and operates in a similar manner to valium…

This happens to me all the time. I am definitely investing in a bottle.

> Recent research has shown that the beta receptors of asthmatics are defective. The parasympathetic nerves of an asthmatic overstimulate the bronchial tubes and this makes the tubes constrict. An overactive parasympathetic nervous system could explain why such nonspecific stimuli such as smoke, viruses and even sudden weather changes trigger wheezing in both allergic and nonallergic asthmatics.

The above is a bit simplistic - asthma is related to poor regulation of ANS, not general overactive parasympathetic nervous system. But thats what made me think about it when you mentioned leadened breathing.

BTW manipulation of the sacrum and soft tssue of the pelvis will have a lasting impact over time on calming down an overly active sympathetic nervous system. (Google Feldenkrais pelvic clock if curious to learn more).

Okay I haven’t used TAK as a sleeping aid but…

[TAK](https://pheromonelabs.com/) in my opinion doesn’t do too much on its own other than relax people and help make people more comfortable with you. It is a good add on if you wear too much [Androstenone](https://a314.com/product/turn-up-the-heat-tuth/) I would say or even too much A314/MX102. [TAK](https://pheromonelabs.com/) is useful for the Clint Eastwood Effect if you have problems with that (I do). Too much though without a counterbalance (like A314/MX102 or [Androstenone](https://a314.com/product/turn-up-the-heat-tuth/)) and you may be seen as too ‘weak’. I’ve actually had some disrespectful reactions when I wore too much TAK.

Based on the theoretical sleep-inducing properties of TAK, I prepared an insomnia blend in a TOGO.

3.5 ml perfumers alcohol
1.0 ml 50ug/spray TAK
0.14 ml lavender 40/42 (6 large drops, I need to get some pure EO instead of 40/42)
0.20 ml Ylang-Ylang blend (75% ylang-ylang III EO & 25% Peruvian balsam EO) (10 small drops)
0.08 ml Jasmine absolute (5 small dashes)
0.08 ml Indonesian Sandalwood EO (5 small dashes)

I suggested to my wife that it was an EO blend that promotes sleep. She has been having problems sleeping and was taking an hour or more to fall asleep after lying down in bed. She doesn’t know how long it took her to fall asleep with this, but having tried it three times, I would say sleep hit about 20 minutes after lying down to rest. Sure, the EO’s help too, but I suspect the TAK to be also to blame. Valerian root capsules have had zero effect on her. I notice nothing from TAK myself, but I have no trouble sleeping and don’t generally wear -none.

cool experiment, ash!

MX204 has continued to put me to sleep - I’ve used it several more times at bedtime with the same results.

Quirk, you asked if I’m sympathetic or parasympathetic dominant - I think probably mildly sympathetic, but I need to look into it further.

This thread inspired me to spritz my wrists with MX204 on two different nights this week when I had a hard time falling asleep. Normally, I’m out like a light as soon as my head touches the pillow. Both times, with the MX204, I felt myself relaxing into a sleepy state and drifting off. In the morning, I felt refreshed and ready to meet the day.

Ok I got to try it. My friend and partner in phero crime at work got a to-go bottle.😃 She gave me a shot when I came in off the road. Neither of us got tired at all its was the opposite. I had so much energy I cooked cleaned and washed the car when I got home. I’m still not tired. Its hard to explain I feel sort of alive and eager to do things but not like with TAF. Taf seems to make me do things like cleaning even when I dont want to but MX204 makes me want to do them. I dont know if that makes sense to everyone but thats what I am feeling.

She wore it all day, one spray in the morning one about 6 hours later, thats when she sprayed me. 1 spray to my hair. She said she was getting a good vibe from people at the window. She got alot of “Thank you your so nice” kind of compliments People wanted to come to her window and she said it didnt really make them upbeat like Shine does but it sort of made them seek her out. Now that I read the reports and recall what it was supposed to do maybe felt more comfortable and relaxed with her.

About 10 minutes after she sprayed me I started getting compliments. " I love your hair" “You look so nice today” all from other girls. Remember I just came in from 5 hours in a hot sweaty mail truck and looked like hell. Men didnt seem to react except to ask me advice about problems but they tend to do that anyway.

Carrie have you tried 1 spray to see if that makes you tired. I am going to tell Mare to try 2 and see if she gets tired. Maybe its really potent and you only need one spray. Maybe 2 puts you into a sort of comfort OD and makes you tired. Defiantly need to test this one more. I am adding it in with my list of things to buy.

Oh and my husband asked me “what the hell did you drink a can of red bull or something” Seems I am talking really fast LOL.

Tacitus can probably say better than I can, but I don’t think TAK is soporific. Rather if your mind is racing, thinking about the days events and what is to come next, it can allow you to find a more tranquil place. Look up GABA and NMDA receptors for more, I think.

If you’re not in need of sleep and/or it’s not bedtime according to your body clock then I’d be surprised if it helps a whole lot in getting to sleep.
