MX279: the best of the P74 based AMMO Test Pack MX275-MX281 so far

Continuing the journey through the so called P74 based AMMO Test Pack MX275-MX281.

MX279 is the best one so far. It seems to have some of the attraction attention getting power of MX275 and MX276, the sticky hang around quality of MX277, and the ladies turn all smiley like they do with MX280. Additionally, MX279 has some of the the sparkle, the uplift of the MX271-3 series. It seems to hold together well also. Some of the others in this series tend to frazzle after 5-6 hours (or sooner MX280 seemed shortlived even though I really liked it too.)as one part of the mix becomes dominant. MX279 maintains an even uplifting fun feeling all the way through an application.

I settled my sweet spot at 3 -4 sprays. At that amount I had responses ranging from a 60ish widow who looked 40ish telling me she “really really” liked talking to me to a 25ish year old telling me she was just going to hang around talking to me while her husband browsed the store to see if she could make him jealous.

I’m still working on MX281 and I’ll report on it later but at this point having used all of the MXs from this series at least some, I’ll say MX279 is the best of the lot with MX280 being a close second. Would I use it instead of regular AMMO? Probably. I can’t really say that about the others in this series.

I would say the effect was closer to AMMO alone than AMMO + P74. Were I using AMMO and P74 together I’d probably also add some Alphanol or IO to lighten the P74 and make it more attractive to women. At some point you start to dilute AMMO too much.

I’ve played with P74 quite a bit in terms of a social mix for use in my store.

Caveat is most of my customers are guys. It seems to be difficult for me to turn P74 in such a way that it generates interest from women which is the point of AMMO. Edit: Wanted to make it plain that MX279 succeeds in doing just that. It’s an attractive mix.

What age range are your customers?

It’s a fishing tackle/outdoors store so all ages. Families, local working men, vacationing white collar men, and a great many retirees. The only group really missing is single women. sigh
