Why do cologne companies sell cologne’s that cost $500 a ounce ? There is all different ranges of what certain consumers can afford or will pay. I cant say for sure but perhaps this is for the high end consumers who have more then $180 bucks to spend on a pheromone enhanced product. We are just testing the formula and its effectiveness at this point. Who better to do that even for a high end product then the people who have experience testing pheromones. I cant say exactly how much it would cost but when I asked if it would be around $180 I was told no to low.
Hell I get less then that when I search it. I know your not a big fan of floral but most people like neroli. By the way Neroli oil is similar in scent to bergamot with a sweet floral bottom note.
I am not arguing with you though everyone has there own prefrences. I am just giving you the information given to me which is part of my function here. I understand how you feel though, I cant blend chocolitini and its not my favorite scent but I love the formula so I deal with it. I am sure at some point they will try different scents with it. They have with others. I think its to early in testing to know what direction they will take for sure with it though.
I think the AMMO project is holding some of that up. I cant get into the whys or hows but once that is out of the way we will see changes. They need this AMMO project to help fuel and advance R & D which has always been there main purpose. I asked about this many times and have just been told it takes time and they wont put anything in the consumer section until they are absolutely certain. They do offer a 200% guarantee so you cant blame them.
wow. that’s kind of a buzz kill. I mean, I do understand that there are products that reach out to people of different incomes. On one hand it’s amazing that they could even create a balanced product that has that much $$ worth of pheromones, on the other hand it’s like accidentally being given a taste of $200 whiskey and then being told you have to go back to drinking the cheap stuff.
That’s putting this stuff at over a dollar a spray.
Jeez you guys are missing the point. I am not saying it will be $500 thats just a example. As long as its in testing you get it cheap. Its been mentioned by members that we havnt seen a product go to the consumer section in a long time. So you will have access to it at a low cost if your a reporting user. We just have to take it the way they are offering scent wise until they decide to test another scent.
Thanks Tisha. I know you’re limited in what you can say, so I appreciate what you are saying. It seems Androtics has hit a homerun with the MX292 formula, and the reactions are telling. I can’t wait to try mine, which shipped today. I know you understand that no one means anything bad by their comments. Like anything that’s proven itself to be valuable, people just want more of it. Especially so with pheromones which are largely hit and miss.
So Tish, what you are saying is that neroli is great at diffusion (makes sense, as all the instant line products come neroli scented and they work great). So why not use neroli then instead of game scent, which a good deal of people on this forum dislike (like me) or hate (like a bunch of others). I mean, I’ve read from tons of people that they won’t re-order Ammo as long as it’s game scented. I think this should be hint enough to go ditch it. Neroli scent dies down very fast and is easily covered - so it would make it easy for all of us to just use our own fragrances on top of it.
If Androtics wants good data wouldn’t it be far better to offer the products in a fragrance that is universally accepted by the majority of this forum and doesn’t make you smell like a scent whore if you go beyond 2 or 3 sprays (IMO THIS definitely hinders the research for Androtics - if you are FORCED to use low doses so people don’t avoid you simply because you stink so much )??
Personally I’ve stopped trying out MX203 because I just couldn’t stand the scent - I got headaches from this (the game scent of my bottle of MX203 was even stronger than the one of MX292 now, more than a single spray made my head explode). I’ve bought some other line of MX (can’t remember which) that turned out to be game scented too - tried it once and never touched it again! That’s not too good for research either, right?
An additional point: There’s a lot of places where strong colognes are NOT ACCEPTED - like some workplaces for example. So using game scent with certain products reduces the possibilities of when you can use and test this stuff, too. Again, NOT GOOD FOR RESEARCH. I personally wouldn’t want to be forced to sit in the office next to someone, who smells like game the whole day…
I don’t think I’m the only one thinking this way (there’s been enough I-hate-game-scent posts around, right?). It could very well be that the game scent diffuses the pheromones a little better than neroli or without any scent added, but if it makes the stuff unusable for a lot of people and only usable in low doses for the rest - the advantages of better diffusion go to hell instantly!
So all in all, I think there’s LOTS of disadvantages in using strong scents for MX products - not only for the users, but especially for research - that make the advantage of a little better diffusion to be for poop…
I see your points Bob and I do understand but I dont make those decisions, I just influence you to voice them I live with them just like everyone else.
Frankly I miss AMMO scent and that is my favorite male scent here. I know they are working on more scents hence the addition of the perfumer Michael Storer. Ask him and he will tell you making scents is not like whipping up cake in the kitchen. It takes trial and error.
All I can say is if you dont like Game scent when you report make a point of it and at the end of your report mention you wont be testing it further because of the scent.
Dont buy products you dont like in that scent. Remember we are not the only testers of the products to. Sure a handful of people dont like game scent but there is a handful of people who do. Cant please everyone all of the time. There are people who dont like neroli either.
Perhaps they will see this and the next round may have another scent, who knows, but it makes sense since one of the things your testing is the scent as well as the formula. Try to seperate the pheromonal reaction from your response to the scent and report on both. This will tell them the formula is good but they need more work on scent.
I will mention it to them as well.

I know that the creation is not easy. I didn’t say anything like this. My main point is that fragrance preferences are highly individual, so IMO especially with test mixes for which we do not have the chance to customize the scent, these mixes should come preferably neroli scented. Neroli dries down fast and is not noticible after 15 minutes, but I still smell game scent after 10 hours… yuck

That would basicly mean that I can’t test any of the new mixes. Almost every interesting mix(pack) that was released lately was game scented.

I guess my main point is: I’m here because of the pheromones, not because I’m looking for a fragrance. I doubt that Androtics will ever be able to satisfy every customers fragrance preference as it is even more individual than the pheros one is wearing. So why not sell the scent packages seperately so that people can add it to any product (if they want to) and just sell the actual pheromone mixes unscented or neroli only?
I think that was my main point exactly. That is all I think we are asking for. Truth is I stopped buying anything for a while becuase while I do not dislike game scent. I cannot wear this everyday. Same thing goes for neroli. I do not hate neroli, do not get me wrong if i can use just one spray, but if you have several different products and have to do several sprays and then try to put your cologne over it forget about it as we say in NY. I would prefer the MX mixes come in neroli over game just so I can spray my cologne over it, and I would get a lot more sillage especially with some of the colognes I own like Musc Ravaguer or Body Kouros
One of my favorite products is Raw power becuase it comes unscented and is a great product, now if only I can get A314 unscented and I would be really happy, I still have not ordered A314 but I am getting use to not using it and been making up for it by using Alpha-7 Unscented instead and still gives me the same respect
I am not saying I could not be one of those, I have spent a lot of money on perfumes, but your average person is not going to spend that much, and truth is I am not even sure I would spend that much unless it is something to guarantee to get me laid everytime, at least with colognes it is guarantee to get me to smell nice everytime LOL
I understand they need money all companies need money which makes sense, it just gets frustrating that we test and test all these great MX lines and sometimes they disappear from the store never to be seen and others just sit there and it never makes it to consumer to get big bottles, maybe they should change it to 100% guarantee so not to worry as much I don’t know just a thought.
One thing would be nice the ones that never make it to consumer or just disappear out of stock it would be nice to find out what is in it so we can make it ourselves if we love it so much. In fact I recall jasmin making a thread about it and it got to like 100 pages but nothing ever came out of it?

I am just making you aware of what I know and can divulge and bringing out the subject I know has been on many peoples minds into the open. I think all of the talking about the pro’s and cons is a good thing and will help voices be heard
I must be honest…I have been afraid to try my bottle too much because I feel like it is gold and won’t be able to get my hands on anymore as I haven’t seen it in the store and have been looking.
I also do like the scent of 292…it smells kinda orangy or fruity or something and goes away very shortly. Seems like a good one to put cologne on after.
I also have worn the MX292 a few times but with other pheros and haven’t noticed anything out of the norm. I suppose I need to wear 3-4 sprays by itself and go do some work at the local starbucks and see what all goes on…and then change venues and see what happens then.
That is part of the problem. I want to test this seriously on its own, but I feel like I might, as others have mentioned, get a taste of the “good stuff” and then be forced to go back to life without it, which doesn’t sound very fun. (It’s kind of like being promoted in status for some reason and then being banned from the club…not cool.)
So, all in all, I am waiting to test further, as a nice portion of my 1 togo bottle is used already, once more is available for order.

In the store under mx292, its price is 28.98 or somthing. but i see a red stamp at the top of the page that says save 42%. is this the price after saving 42% or does it take it off once i can add it to my cart. Sorry if it has been asked i couldn’t find anything. Also is there a limit on how many i can buy, it seems as tho its the prize test product and will sell out very fast again. thanks
The 42% savings is already figured in for the price displayed. Take a look at one of the instant products and see the % saved… then go and modify it (such as Heavy Ammo) and watch the % drop down as it becomes more expensive. Also, MX292 is out of stock right now, so it really doesn’t matter… but last round we could only get one, i believe.
you know what’s funny? i thought everybody who was posting that MX292 was making them sneeze or others around them sneeze was over reacting, but last night at the cafe, somebody i know that was standing 3 feet away from me starting sneezing like crazy. i stood further away from him and he stopped sneezing like a couple minutes later. he thought he was having an allergy attack. i guess there is an ingredient in the fragrance that is causing that.
