# Mx297 pseudojournal

three out of the four items in my last order are currently sitting unused so i decided it was time to bust one out. all signs pointed to mx297. the cougar and love boat mixes deserve more specific testing days.

last week i went to a callout for a photography club. there i was already somewhat of a “star” as i had more extensive knowledge and experience. i made a good impression with ig too. you can skim the full report here to get a feel for what i tried to do tonight: [pheromone fried rice - #309 by jayarea](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/pheromone-fried-rice/24524/309)

most of the members in this club are photography students. apparently this past week they had an extremely hard first round of exams. i’m not in that major so i can’t relate, but i assume it involves lots of studying and some practical exams. well, tradition (or “tradition”) holds that after this week, big parties happen within the photography students. the first one is on friday right after the exam; literally, people walk straight from the classroom to the bars near campus, then continue partying later at houses. the second one was tonight and is more open to non-photography students.

here’s where i come in with mx297. early reports indicate that it gives you a “rockstar” or vip vibe, in that everyone is amazed by you and wants to be around you. well, in a very modest and natural way, i’m kind of already like that within this circle of people. i came to the callout packed with info and now i’m unofficially on their board of directors as an adviser. i could’ve showed up to this party tonight phero-free and gotten that rockstar vibe. i wanted to see what else mx297 is capable of. sexual? social? succor? i knew i would be meeting new people, old friends, and girls, so it was a good opportunity to test all aspects. assuming it does give a rockstar vibe, then it was also a good opportunity to solidify my position and create a more adviser-ly aura.

saturday 10.3.09

**Appearance**  
in line with the party theme, which was fairly dressy. thus, girls were in dresses and guys were in khakis/button downs. good looks all around.

**Self effects**  
nothing much. akuto smells nice.

**Effects to others**  
no hits for about 30 minutes. i was a “new guy” and people were either meeting me for the first time or trying to remember who i was from the callout.

one minor hit from a girl who came up to me and said that her friend is doing a collage of photos of people kissing, and that i would make a great shot with her. couldn’t tell if this was a canned pickup line for kisses or a genuine remark, but she did have some light kino. i declined and we went our separate ways.

good social hits though, even before people recognized me. i found that a conversation could be started from almost anything – “what are you drinking?” to “how did you do on those exams?” generally i’m not so good with off the wall random topics like that.

then somebody who remembered me from the callout spread the word and the status hits came flooding in. like last time, people started looking over at me. when i met new people, they said “oh yeah, from the callout right?” and when i met old acquaintances, they asked me how i’ve been since the callout. again, confounded results since i already had a bit of status and wasn’t really testing that but it was good to see that at 1.fs, it didn’t make me seem like a db or anything. smooth, respectable status.

only a few ioi. disappointing turnout for girls tonight. either i came too early or late. one girl i know caught my mix and kept looking at me all night, got a compliment on my scent from another girl, and one girl truly bumped into me on accident and then just didn’t move away.

**conclusion**  
i left testing open-ended and got all sorts of results, which is good. shows the mix has lots of range. in future tests i can drill down individual aspects.

**secondary conclusion**  
if game really doesn’t come back, i think akuto will be my replacement for it.

Great report! 🙂 I love [MX297](https://a314.com/product/mx297/). Can’t wait to read your results when you wear it again.

I seem to get the best results from it at 3 sprays (seems to be my sweet spot for most Androtics products- MX114 excluded).

i think you’re the only person who reads these things 🙂

my sweet spot is around 2-3s. might be because of my age or that of my targets, or just a personal preference. unless i’m dosing up, anything over 3 gives me a feeling that i’m wasting or underusing it.

i remember mx297 from your early reports and then mco-gnv pushing to get it restocked. i believe there was only one in stock when you got it? you picked a heck of a winner here. i hope i can use it in a neutral setting next time to really experience the vip effect.

and the reason i follow you guys like a hawk is because it seems like we all have very similar sigs/ experiences/ idk what it is, but if it comes from either one of your posts, I usually get the same exact results.

lots of mx297 reports lately… i think it’s kinda funny how without any coordination, all of us test the same thing almost around the same time. mx297 this time, a while ago it was mx336/7.

anywho, a bit of a followup from an earlier incident that also serves as a lead-in to my testing. a few days ago people went out without me and it made me consider who my real friends are. it was a bit of a conundrum as they’re normally nice people and wouldn’t leave me behind, and somehow all of them managed to have an excuse (some decently legit, some a bit far fetched) of why they didn’t get in touch with me. water under the bridge now. things were out of my control then, so i decided to do the only logical thing and start to control them.

instead of making plans to meet somewhere, i invited them to my house. who did this involve? none other than the db friends, the ones we love to hate. i figured if they said they honestly tried to contact me, we could put aside our differences and just party together for a night, and i’ll host.

saturday 10.17.09

the buses have been screwy lately so i offered to pick them up. i left the house without pheros because i wanted our first real impression to be natural and phero-free. we partied at my place for about 20 minutes and once we clicked and started having a good time, i snuck away to apply. i had forgotten about which scent this was and i expected game. once i smelled akuto, i was a bit shocked and then very relieved. i think game would’ve been not a good choice for what i wanted to accomplish. if i had left and returned smelling like game, they might’ve thought i was trying too hard, always having to refresh my cologne when people come over. akuto gave off a nice and warm vibe, very in line with my host vibe, and it wasn’t overpowering. they didn’t even comment on the scent; that’s how well it blended in with everything. i took this vibe and ran with it – we were drinking and they started to get rowdy in typical db fashion, but i remained calm and they kept mentioning how classy it was that i could drink with them and remain a decent host. just what i was shooting for 🙂

(this is all after app)  
i called for a taxi and it was late getting to my place so we ended up drinking a lot more than expected for the time of night. one of the guys was studying all day and didn’t eat much so he got really drunk really fast and this was made worse by his db actions of getting rowdy. he eventually caved and said that he needed something to eat or else he wouldn’t make it through the night. i offered the standard bread and water and he accepted. then i saw in his eyes that just bread was not going to be enough, so i offered to make him a sandwich. i like to cook and had just recently made a pesto spread. i roasted some peppers and onions, laid that on top of ham and lettuce with the spread, and then toasted it a bit in the oven.

all this time people moved into the kitchen and watched me cook and helped me clean. pure alpha at this point. my house, my kitchen. they were in even more awe as they saw that i could host a party, pour good drinks, and cook at the same time. one of the bigger db guys, who tried to get with SEG and failed, said “hey, now i see why she always parties over here and not with us.” boom. instant deference. i didn’t want his ego to get hurt on such a fun occasion so i played it off and said that she parties here because she’s familiar with me, so try to talk to her more (and not hit on her so often) and she’ll party with you too. he smiled and i could almost see him making a mental note to switch up his party style in order to decrease his sexual overtones.

while walking outside, i stumbled on a rock and instantly two of the guys are bracing me and making sure i’m ok. i can’t go as far as to say mx297 makes people immediately care about you, but i think it did help in us clicking and getting them to accept me and vice versa. this was a good night of bonding.

in the taxi we were deciding where to go and i said they could show me around their usual hot spots. typical db places filled with more db and db-ettes, but i didn’t mind. the guy who had the sandwich bought all my drinks as repayment. normal drinking and socializing for the rest of the night.

before we were about to leave i wanted to do a group shot to cap the night. i was going to order at the bar but a waitress came by to collect empties and ask if we needed anything. the guys quickly turned her down but i went up to her and said in her ear that i wanted to order “four lemon drop shots.” the sandwich guy started looking rough again so i figured a simple lemon drop wouldn’t do him in. the waitress asked how i wanted to pay and i gave her a $20 bill.

she came back with five shots and even my drunk math checked out – this was one more than i had ordered. she set the shots down and then asked me if i had ordered four or five. i said four and she acknowledged hearing me say that, but wrote in the order for five. the total for five was $20+ and she said that extra shot was free. i said thanks and sorry for any troubles. i’m not sure if this was a phero hit or not. regardless, we had a good time with the shots and i played spin the bottle to see who got that extra shot. it wasn’t me and it wasn’t the sandwich guy so that’s all that matters.

after closing time we went over to one guy’s house who lives fairly close and sat around for a bit. the sandwich guy was drunk and wanted to make the only recipe he knows (stir fry chicken) so he cooked for us, and it was pretty good. at this point i’m sure it was all alcohol and not so much mx297, but we just kept getting closer and closer. these are the guys who don’t like my buddy and while we were sitting around, they mentioned that they would like to party with him sometime too. again, alcohol talking, but without the previous work of mx297, i don’t think they would’ve said this.

We must all be on the same wavelength. I went to the Caulfield Cup on the weekend (big race meeting in Australia). Reserved seats, suit and tie… just seemed to be a 297 occasion 🙂

first time all of us (the main players, myself, the randoms, the db friends) have been together in a while today in class. second time mx297 exposure for the db friends, first time for SEG and randoms, first time mixing with mx336 for me.

feeling good. confident and outgoing. as you’ll read below i got straight up goofy once the socializing started. very upbeat mix for me.

**Effects to others**  
got to class and SEG was there with one of our other team members. i had about 5 minutes of solo exposure time with them before other people showed up. we got to laughing about some funny pictures the guy found online. _lots_ of mimicking. SEG would mimic my physical actions, the guy mimicked my style of humor. this was the most outgoing i’ve seen him all semester. i believe this is also where i started to get goofy too.

two of the db friends came to sit next to us. one of them was from the report above, who came over to party with me. the other one is the ringleader of the db crew, and surprisingly he’s the ex-db too. i think he has reverted back to his old db ways now, but that’s another story.

i toned down my goofiness a bit to settle in with the newcomers. there was some crosstalk between SEG and the db guy closest to me. he got acquainted with our jokes and stuff that way and when i couldn’t contain myself anymore, i just jumped right in to the conversation. you would think that’d be awkward, but it was a rather smooth transition. i’m not even gonna start with the ex-db guy, but there was only a small wall of awkwardness between me and the other guy and a few well-placed jokes took that down immediately.

then everyone got goofy. it was like i accidentally grabbed my bottle of spaceland and dumped it on myself. i’ve never seen this much socializing and spaciness from something that wasn’t spaceland. good status hits with mx297 and the db guy. this was the guy who ate the sandwich i made him so he still had a lot of respect for me from that incident. it carried over to SEG because she has partied with me too and knows i’m a very good host. when we all started talking about our crazy drunk adventures it turned into a fun sense of respect. a line i heard often was “we should party with JA each time we go out.”

as good as this sounded, i took this line with a grain of salt. these were the same people who “left me” last weekend and didn’t get in touch with me. i know for a fact that SEG has a good time with me, and that the db guy and his friend had a good time with me, but they have not all partied together with me yet. the one time they did party together, they left me out. i’ll need to take proper caution to not be played for a fool again.

ok enough with the bad stuff. i did sense the -none in the mix; i got a little flushed and my palms got sweaty. -none + laughing/having a good time is the worst for me. i had to force myself to calm down so that i wouldn’t sweat up a storm in a climate controlled room.

this goofiness and laughter continued well into the start of class. when it got down to crunch time, we knew we had to cut our antics and at least look like we were paying attention. i took this opportunity to make one last huge joke and everyone laughed. the ex-db didn’t really participate in our laughing but i think he cracked a smile at my last joke, the db guy beside me loved it, and SEG nearly spit out her water and continued chuckling to herself way after the joke was done.

and like that, it was gone. class was boring so it cut down everyone’s spirit. at the end, even if i had tried to resurrect a good feeling, it probably wouldn’t have worked. the db crew just got up and left. i stayed behind to chat with my team and it was all business, nothing funny.

however, i’m still feeling good right as i type this, nearly 3 hours after app.

slowly making inroads with the db guys, really liking the vibe i get with mx297 because i use it when it fits me best, and mx336 really gave a helping hand with whatever it did in making people outgoing.

Just out of curiosity, how do the [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) and Game scents mix? I’d think they would clash pretty badly but apparently not.

at 1s of each, they mix very well. think of it as a sweet akuto, should be right up your alley for akuto fans with some of that classic game flavor for game fans.

at higher spray counts, i also have a feeling they might clash. if i get into this i’ll be sure to report.
