Well, managed to test my MX301 this weekend to a packed bar & club & this is what was applied: 2 x A314 ( 1 on wrist & 1 behind ears) 3 x MX301 all on neck 1 x CTTM2 (neck also) have to say, a bit disappointed,even after the dose, I didn’t really feel any mood changes like I do with [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) & IS, which usually gives me that bit boost in confidence… so it was quiet night, only had 1-2 glances but nothing major. So, can anyone tell me what am I doing wrong ?? It was also, quite hot last night, so not sure whether the temp has anything to do with it. So far, a winner for me is 2xAMMO & 2xIS & 1x AE, which has always got me hits without fail. ---

I would lay off the CTTM. Not needed there is -nols in MX301 already. Might have softened the mix a little too much. Maybe try only 1 drop of A314 too. Finally, not every night is gonna be a success, and not every mix is gonna be right for everyone. 301 is a favorite of mine personally, but like you I don’t get self effects from it really. ---

Honestly imo the best way to test and or compare MX’s is to first compare them as stand alones. When I got my bottle of 297 I was extremely tempted to see how it would work with other products but I really wanted to see how it stood by itself first so I followed Steves advice on finding your sweet spot. I mean you’re not even comparing it to the same mix as just an alternative to Ammo, you tested it with A314 and CTTM2 but are discounting it because it didn’t work as well as a mix containing [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) and Alter Ego. If you’re going to compare it to a mix then the mix should be the same with just one substitution. IE try MX301 in place of Ammo with Shine and Alter Ego. Although for the sake of forum reports and testing the product itself I’m interested in comparing it to Ammo simply as a standalone with no other products to contaminate the effects. ---

Have you tried MX301 by itself? Usually 2 - 3 sprays and you are good to go. ---

Hercs, how old are you? The best advice has already been said…wear 301 by itself. If you feel you are being ignored try a spray of IG along with it, but try it alone. Also, the TAA, [P74](https://pheromonelabs.com/product/p74/), and bnol (in my experience) wear off before the rest of the mix does. You may want to consider carrying a social if you notice people avoiding you 2-4 hrs after aplication. ---

I’m 38. Only reason I tried MX301 with CTTM & A314 was that I read in a thread that someone mentioned it was a good mix. ---

Its different with everyone MX301 works well by itself on all the times I’ve tested it. When I made a mistake applying mones and had to do some buffering on top of the 301, I didn’t get the hits I normally did, but one really big one at the end of the night. ---
