Hey all i was wondering, i have some pretty old [pheromone](https://a314.com/) bottles that i havent used in many months. So today i decided to try some IS and see if i get a self effect, however i didnt really have a chance to go out to test it on other people. I shaked the bottle before i sprayed it quite a few times, anyway i didnt get any self effect really, except a slight change in how i was feeling.
I have had the IS for a few years (2 and 3/4 at least) is it possible the mones are no longer working? Also can it be bad to put on pheros that are “expired”?

From what I’ve heard pheros can be stored for a few years successfully…maybe you damaged the mones inside the bottle somehow? Through direct sunlight for example. Or maybe you’ve just really grown tolerant to [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) use?

Sunlight and heat can do it given time, the blue glass will only help protect from light so much.

It definitly isnt sunlight or anything that damaged the mones, since i keep them in cool dark place at all times. The difference is that the scent of the IS is much less strong than it use to be. I personally like the smell of it, does a lighter smell mean its less effective is what im wondering.

Could be settling/separation, I’d just give it a gentle shake or two.
