I’ve just finished reading the Mystery Method and I have a few problems applying it to my life. The book dealt mostly with the bar scene or night clubs but since I’m 17 that doesn’t really affect me. My main problem is taking the Mystery Method, changing it in a few vital places and applying it to high school. I encountered my first problem in the Attraction phase. From what I got out of the book that phase can last over an hour. The problem being that at school I’ll have 20 - 30 minutes at most. Maybe 40 if I’m lucky. Even then that leaves little to no time to start the Comfort phase. ☹ Based on the info I have, using the MM in school will only leave me with phone numbers; no girls who want to go out on the other end. But that’s only based on the information I have obtained directly through the book. I’ve heard that [Pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) enhance your game. My question: **How?** If they can shorten the time in the attraction phase while making the girl just comfortable enough in the begining of the comfort phase so that she’ll want to contact me outside of school, then this could work. I need your help. Please share your experiences of using the MM in conjunction with pheromones or (if you have em) of using the MM in school. ---

Pheromones can substantially increase the _quality_ of an interaction or discussion… more depth, juice, mojo, realness… giving you more social raw material to experiment with and grow from… if you find yourself interacting with others more deeply, your social skills evolve to keep up… being socially artful is like playing a difficult musical instrument, constant practice is a must… and the _quality_ of practice points to the outcome… ---

If you are only focused upon high school throw out everything that involves stages/phases - it does not apply to you. Check out the men’s section top/sticky area with numerous threads for what various pheromones do. Frankly I think it would be cool to do a p74, instant shine, instant openness combo and focus on opening groups. Get the basics down cold without worrying about attraction while using a combination of the most [social pheromones](https://a314.com/product-category/social-pheromones/) around. ---

Please share your experiences of using the MM in conjunction with pheromones or (if you have em) of using the MM in school. what scaro said - I wouldn’t get too hung up on the whole MM model, although some things that Mystery talks about can be useful. take a look at some of the more natural approaches - VAC, banter a la pickup 101. attraction happens, or can happen very quickly (like in seconds to minutes) - particularly with phero use. if you are like most guys you need to get better at recognising IoIs, building rapport, isolating her and escalating in a socially calibrated way. have a look at pickup101 work on wide and deep rapport. read up on dicarlo kino escalation ladder. Mystery/RJ approach to ASD is good - ‘we shouldn’t be doing this’ to pre-empt her objections. school is a great environment to play the social proof game and also to develop momentum as a leader. so every time people are standing around waiting for someone to do something, be the one to take the social risk. find ways to do stuff you enjoy that involves a leadership role, even if it’s just the one to organise an informal social event. facebook is your friend. work on your posture and voice… ---
