I have an issue with low testosterone and also have a friend with the same issue. I wanted to know if any of the weight lifters or more nutritionally aware people know of ways to increase it naturally rather than getting shot every 2 weeks. I told him about cops increasing it but wondering if there is a way to keep it higher.

Tribulus Terristris. My two favorite trib products are HyperTest and Blue Up

ZMA is supposed to work well, but I don’t have much experience with it

Aromatase Inhibitors like Inhibit-E and Hyperdrol are quite effective as well.

If you are talking about a diet, cabbage, brocoli, red meat and oyster can help. You can also reduce alcohol intake and stress i think.

However, I believe that copulin will hurt your testosterone level in the long run. It is almost like drinking coffee ealier in the morning and have a crash later in the day 🙂

ZMA worked well 4 me also, i purchased the 1Fast400 from Bulk Nutrition 180 caps, i took 2 per day around lunch times and worked like a charm, with just the problem of the testosterone boost contributing to waking me up early in the mornings with a problem of magnified proportions 😃

Several months ago i did cycle 20grams of 1Fast400 brand Androstenetrione, i capped it myself and did take a small daily dose of 400 mg.
This is exactly the same formulation as 6- OXO. I consider it a very reliable test boost and did not experience any side effects, I did experience some good growth and endurance from this cycle with the similar problem of being awoken each morning with a problem of massive proportions :o , Yes no doubt about the effectiveness of this stuff and ill give it another blast in 5 or 6 months time.

At the moment i am on Tribulus 625 mg caps by Optimum Nutrition only taking small serving of 2 caps daily and is not a bad maintenence product, only wake up with a minimum to slight protrusion problem on this stuff.

Terry, you sound like you know your stuff. I was curious about something. I’ve read that overweight men seem to have a decrease in the amount of testosterone they (we) produce. I was thinking about supplementing as part of an overall weight loss regimen, to include working out, gradually increasing aerobic exercise, and diet modifications. As far as you know, would increasing testosterone be of any benefit to me?

Thanks!

No there are no reports of this and its not possible.

Yes copulins raise a mans testosterone levels by 100% to 150% and yes they will eventually become lower. But they remain in the normal range for men.

Working out raises you Test levels as well.

I young hot girl with abundant natural copulins will raise it to.

Testosterone level do fluctuant within a certain range and it is not harmful for them to do this its the natural way the body works.

So no it will not damage a man ability to make testosterone in the long run.

i have never had my test levels checked, but i am going on the assumption that body order is indicative of higher test levels. when i was younger, i was very active athletically and lifted weights moderately. in my mid 30’s, because of various nagging injuries, i stopped sports and working out. i then noticed that i no longer needed to use deodorant and assumed it was due to my age and lowering test levels. about 9 months ago i started lifting weights again, heavier than i ever had before. i put on about 10 lbs. and was surprised how quickly i was able to gain muscle at my age. at about the same time, i began having to use deodorants again, so i am assuming the vigorous weight lifting increased my test levels.

try working out with weights if you do not already. i started out with moderate weight for the first month to build my strength back and then started going heavier and heavier until i was maxing out.

This is my assumption, too, based on my experiences over the past couple of months with my TG. He is very reactive to me when I am wearing copulins, and I have noticed that after being in close company together for at least several minutes, I start smelling him strongly. At first I didn’t know if this was just my reaction to his natural scent (that I was noticing it more since being around him is very arousing to me 😉) or if it was _his_ reaction to my copulins. I’ve experimented with wearing cops-free pheros and no pheros at all around him, and I do not notice a stronger smell in those times.

To illustrate how strong this smell is to me, I can pick it up about 5 or 6 feet _outside_ of his office.

An aside to this is, this natural scent he puts off is extremely, **extremely** arousing (even when he’s not pumping out more due to my cops 😉). If I had a shirt of his that he’d worn all day, I’d probably carry it around with me all the time just so I could huff his smell. He doesn’t wear colognes or any other scented products, it’s just him. I wish more men would do this.

Its always a health giving benefit to elevate test levels and keep them that way over time by way of an exercise programme and eating a good allround sensable diet as far as variety is concerned, and making a habit of adhering to the correct portion sizes to suit you, and making a habit of sticking to it, like not too much processed carbohydrates as they add on the excess weight fast,
It is a good idea to start the day with a decent quality protein drink and some supplements as this protein boost as your breakfast will fuel the brain and that is important for the control of having masive carbo binges late in the evening.
Its not advisable to consume carbohydrates close to bedtime, as this contibutes towards weight storage when asleep.
On the other hand loosing too much weight especially too fast will cause a slow down of test production.
So is better to find your ideal weight and keep a PICTURE of this image in your mind at all times when picturing yourself, and then eventually you will settle on what is appropriate for you.
Just remember not to miss your regular meals, Also it is a boon to test production to do some heavy training , but never overtrain as this is detrimental to muscle gain and also test production.
Make sure you are getting the correct amounts of quality protein each day so as to support and maintain muscle mass.
And as you are aware a good Zinc formula , Preferably one that contains magnesium and manganese in proportion to the zinc is essential, And also a 1/16 th of a teaspoon of powdered kelp of a morning with your protein drink to keep trace minerals and organic iodine in your system as makes a huge difference.

You could always try some Acetyl-L-Carnitine at 1 gramm per morning with orange juice at least 1/2 an hour before your protein drink start to the day, as this can contribute to giving you good sustained focus and endurance during the whole of the day as well as assisting in the loss of unwanted weight, also take another 600mg before bed if can afford it.

I purchase my ALCAR in the 1Fast brand at Bulk Nutrition in the 500 G size costs me about $46 including postage from US to Australia. and 500 G will last well over 300 days if ur using 1.6 g per day so is good value.
Some people have fab results with the ALCAR and others mediocre, But ALCAR is best planned to be used longterm to see the benifits i think. 🙂

PS at my age i tend to use lighter weights and and take it slower during the actual contractions and protractions so as to get the same benefits of heavy training as i do not reccomend excessively heavy and fast reps as it can place strain on connective tissue ect, its better to go lighter and avoid injury.
And when beginning a weight training programme, or starting up again after a lay off then light high reps is the way to go so as to build up the connective tisues of the tendons ect before heavier weights is placed upon them.

Some younger body builders make the mistake of overtraining, and also not maintaining adequate Protein intake throughout the day.

Thank you very much, Terry! I’ve copied and pasted your post to a notepad file to refer to. Gotta heal up over the next couple of weeks, but I’m excited to get started on a comprehensive weightloss/workout plan. Our company gyms have professional sports trainers working in them, so I’ll be picking their brains as well. I just like to gather as much info about stuff like this as I can so I can make the most educated decisions.

Much appreciated, and reps to ya for it!

I strongly suggest going over to [Bodybuilding.com - The Future Of Bodybuilding! Huge Bodybuilding Site.](http://www.bodybuilding.com) for supplements, advice and guides. The forum is amazing, certainly helpful. They’ve got a huge fan base and you can find all the latest supplements etc there.

I suggest you start by buying some protein shakes and a thermogenic supplement to aid your weight loss. I would suggest looking at Cytolean, Hydroxycut hardcore or Thermofire. All 3 are good and I have used them myself. They are pretty much safe - but don’t assume them to be miracle pills.

Try and get in 10-20mins of cardio in the morning HIIT style (High Intensity Interval Training) and that should keep your metabolism elevated through the day. Then do cardio again once at night. I suggest you do 60/20/20 for your macros. (protein/fat/carb) It’s important to remember not to cut fat out your diet completely. Studies have shown the stopping fat intake in the diet can also lower testosterone. Make sure your food intake is clean, so no simple carbs.

Do some weights as that will also increase your BMR. The muscle needs more calories to maintain the muscle. My BMR is 2100, which means I burn 2100 for just living. My lifestyle (standing a lot daily) burns an additional 1700 calories. Yours should be around or near that, so I would find your total daily calories burned and take away 200-500 away from it and use that as a guide. Train as heavy as you can and do the 6-10 rep range. Don’t worry about getting too big or anything - because it’s just not happening. To get big big it takes years. Throw these myths out and slap your trainer when he says he’ll have you like a tank by next month.

For testosterone products, I would suggest Animal Stak or Activate Xtreme. Check the supplement section on the forum to see what’s working for every one else. I just want to add you are at a good age to use pro hormones. If you can get a good cycle with support (stop damage) then it could be worth doing. You could expect 5-20lbs of pure muscle within a few weeks which will also increase your BMR drastically. I suggest you STRONGLY do research before taking this option.

I think (just my opinion 😉 ) that it is possible. Your body will react to copulin a lot at first, but then will get almost used to it. Especially if no action ever goes with the copulin scent 🙄. When you always give the cheese smell to a mouse to get his attention but never show him the real cheese, that mouse won’t come anymore 😃

I saw a good article about effective work out plus sexual stimuli. Trying to find it and post it soon

Very good info terry and estee thx!

I think the South Beach Diet is a good way to lose weight. It’s the first diet I’ve tried that seemed to last for the long haul. It’s got a few relatively simple rules and alot of different foods you can eat and isn’t too restrictive. Obesity/diabetes runs in my family. I was never so heavy being semi-vegetarian, but I always was carrying more weight and had less muscle mass. On the South Beach Diet you can be vegetarian, or eat meat (mostly not red meat), and there are alot of food choices.

I tried cardio but I didn’t lose more than 1-4 pounds weight, wasn’t getting any thinner. Not much anyways. I do some weight training with dumbells, starting out at 10lbs, now working up to 20-30 lbs. I also take creatine. Not interested in hormonse or anything like that, just want to be toned more. I also do situps and push ups. To be honest, I’m pretty comfortable in my body now days even being 15 lbs. overweight, I’ve got enough muscle mass, so I’m sort of slowing down a bit. I still follow the diet, though.

Yes, the obvious answer to your question is rather than testosterone shots every two weeks you can use testosterone cream every day. There are those who believe the more more gradual approach of using the cream is better than shots because without the sudden peaks of testosterone in your bloodstream there will be less testosterone converted to estrogen.

How do you know you have low testosterone? There is a lot you don’t tell us here. Have you had your blood levels checked? If not I would suggest getting blood drawn and check your free and total testosterone, SHBG, estradiol, FHS and LH, DHT and probably PSA while you’re at it.

As you are approaching fifty, it may be that you are just not producing as much testosterone. This is to be expected as we age. However “normal” this might be, it still puts us at risk for cadiodvascular disease, diabetes, prostate disease and other “diseases of aging”. So it is worth the effort to get our testosterone levels closer to that of a young man.

It may be your total testosterone is alright but your free testosterone is low. This is due to SHBG binding to the testosterone. If your estorgen levels are high, lowering your estrogen should also lower your SHBG. Avena sativa and nettle ROOT (not leaf) extract are supposed to increase free testosterone.

It may be that too much testosterone is being converted to estrogen. Your hypothalamus wrongly interprets high estradiol as high testosterone and quits asking your nads for more testosterone. High estradiol is also bad because it causes man boobs and heart attacks. You and google can search out a number of herbal aromatase inhibitors. Aromatase is the enzyme that converts testosterone to estrogen. There is also a drug Arimidex (anastrazole) which is a very effective aromatase inhibitor.

Maybe too much testosterone is getting converted to dihydortestosterone (DHT). DHT is associated with prostate disease and male pattern baldness. High levels can also make you climbing the walls horny. If you’ve become unusually obsessed with thoughts of perverse acts with ugly chicks then be sure to get your DHT levels checked! New evidence suggests that prostate disease is more about high estrogen than DHT. Nevertheless, men on DHT lowering drugs report improved prostate symptoms, so I’m thinking there’s room for more than one villain. There are supplements to inhibit 5-alpha-reductase, the enzyme that converts testosterone into DHT. These include extra zinc, saw palmetto, beta sitosterol, nettle root extract and possibly lycopene, among others. Progesterone is also a 5AR inhibitor. Dr John R. Lee suggest men use a small amount of progesterone cream, available without a prescription. Pharmaceutical 5AR inhibitors include Proscar/Propecia (finasteride) and Avodart (dutasteride). Approach with caution and monitor your blood levels – men complain bitterly of side effects. Finasteride inhibits type II 5AR. Dutasteride inhibits both type I (hair folicles) and type II (prostate).

Perhaps your nads are capable of producing testosterone, but your pituitary isn’t kicking out enough LH to tell them to. Drugs that might be prescribed include Clomid (clomiphene) or hCG. The herb tribulus terrestris is also supposed to increase LH.

You and google can find several clinics to prescribe testosterone. Renew Youth Centers has a pretty good website with info on the topic, [Male Menopause Symptoms - Andropause Treatment - Symptoms of Low Testosterone](http://www.renewman.com/)
Also, the Life Extension Foundation [Life Extension Foundation - Highest Quality Vitamins And Supplements](http://www.lef.org) has a lot of good info on their site. You can order blood tests (to be conducted by LabCorp) relatively inexpensively through Life Extension if your doctor is uncooperative and/or your insurance won’t cover it.

I am not a medical doctor. This is not to be taken as medical advice. Do your own due diligence. The above is just based on my own personal experience and opinions. It ain’t approved by the FDA or anyone else.

I understand that its your therory. But this is something Astrid Judd tested during copulin testing though and it shows that levels return back to normal after 12 hours but never go below the individuals baseline. They also tested the working out levels and the exposure to young attractive females and mens test levels spiked. So your therory would be like saying being around young hot girls is bad for your testosterone down in the long term.

Every man in the world would have low testo… if that were the case.

I’m not a fan of the idea of “jucing up”, though I admit I’m no expert in the area. I am interested in herbalism, and I’ve always found it is a better idea to push the body towards a natural equilibrium- you get fewer side effects and you are attacking a problem much more directly. If something is interfering in your natural testosterone metabolism, that seems like the first place to start.

I’ve got to say I’ve heard from some people that eating soy messes with your testosterone levels. I eat a fair amount of soy and I still have lots of BO like a man if I don’t bathe (and especially when I exercise)- another myth is that it lowers your sex drive- seems like BS to me, I don’t feel any more girly drinking soy milk other than possibly all the “female hype” around it (I’m not sure lots of soy would be good for a growing boy… but I don’t think it’s been studied enough if it effeminizes boys in large dosages- I don’t think it’s the reason Asians have lower androstenone for instance). I don’t think they are connected, I think it’s just a myth but hey, maybe I’m wrong, and I’ve never had my levels tested, never felt the need to do so (I’m still young). Maybe some more experienced folks will chime in.
