iHi, I’m Antonia and I’m 19 years old. I’m interested in knowing how [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) work, but mostly if they do work! I’d really like to test one sometime, out of curiosity. Also, life is short and I want to have fun. The problem is people in my country, Chile, tend to be very shy and indirect in their approaches if they even dare, so that is frustrating for a shy girl like me. That’s why I wish there could be something to make that go away even a little bit, perhaps if the attraction is more intense a person will drop some of their inhibitions. As it happened I was browsing a shop, and it advertised pheromones for males and females. The thing is, I’m studying something related to science and I’m just really skeptical about things like that, so I looked up information on pheromones on google, and it brought me here! I chose this site because it doesn’t look like it’s all about publicity and selling things. It seems more knowledgeable about the subject, and I suspect some pheromones are scams. Well, I hope to glean some information on this so I can learn which ones are legit! Also, I’d love to know what kinds of pheromones exist - is it all about attraction? Or are there other types? Welcome to the forum, Antonia. Many of your questions are addressed in the sticky notes at the top of each forum. The women’s forum is a good place to start. You’re right, there are scammers selling things they call pheromones. But there are real effects too. This company is legitimate, at least that’s my call and I’ve bought a lot of their stuff. ---

Hi Antonia, welcome to the forum! If you are interested in science, check out the research subforum here – there you will find many scholarly articles relating to human pheromones. You will find many knowledgeable people here to help answer your questions, but you should also know that this forum is associated with Androtic’s, a reputable company that sells [pheromone products](https://a314.com/shop/). Instant Openness is a great product for what you describe – to help break the ice if people are hard to approach. It has alpha-androstenol in it – it is a social pheromone that encourages people to talk. ---

Like you, I was skeptical and hesitant to try at first, and being Asian we are almost in the same predicament, with most asians being “shy” and reserved. I have only started testing mones in the past 3 months, and all I can say is that the skeptisicm is gone now. But although I am already a believer and I see results and changes in my overall well-being, mones are not “magical”. You still have to project the aura that you want to be perceived as, but mones WILL help you to project that image. My personal favorite is [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/) - it de-stresses me, makes me feel really happy and relaxed plus it does help people to be more open - nothing intense, just light, happy chit chat. Making it a whole lot easier to appear ‘open’. Just remember you need to relax and project that image too. The mones will just ‘amplify’ a little. 😉
